project called Burbn in 2009. Then they made it more focused to photo

day. In December 2010, it had over 1 million users. Then in April 2012,
Facebook bought Instagram for about $1 billion in cash and stock. The app’s

released, it already gained 25,000 users. And after two months, it had over 1
million users! There was so many people using Instagram, that the server
could barely keep up with it. By April 2012, when Facebook acquired it for $1
billion, Instagram had 30 million users. And Instagram continued to grow,
then it had 500 million daily users by 2016. And Instagrams focus on photo,
and video sharing makes it get even more popular overtime.
On Instagram, sharing lets you to post photos, videos, stories, and reels to
your profile or directly to friends with direct messages. Tagging lets you
mention other users in your posts, stories, and comments, which notifies
them and makes it more visible. When you tag someone in a post, it appears
in their tagged photos section, and you can tag stories using the @mention
sticker. These things help you connect with others and make your posts more
visible.
Instagram filters are cool tools that make photos and videos cool or funny by
adding effects like brightening colors. Some popular filters are Clarendon,
Gingham, Juno, and Ludwig. To use filters, tap your profile picture or swipe
right from your feed, select an effect, and tap to take a photo or hold to take
a video.
