This pattern uses US crochet terms and is suitable for beginners who
have some prior experience with crochet. If you have questions

Terminology Supplies
R Round Yarn (super bulky) in 3 colors:
MR Magic ring Body: 1/2nd of a skein
CH Chain Wing/Feet: 1/4th of a skein
SLST Slip stitch Nose detail: 20cm of yarn
ST Stitch(es)
SC Single crochet
Tools:
HDC Half double crochet
DC Double crochet Crochet hook: 4mm
TC Triple crochet Two safety eyes (8mm)

FEET
Make 2 in foot color.
R1: 6sc in a MR 6
R2: inc around 12
R3: dec around 6
Stuff with the starting tail.
R4: Flatten and line up the
stitches on both sides. Crochet
3sc through both sides to shut.
Fasten off. Leave a short tail to
weave in later.
WINGS
Make 2 in wing color.
R1: 6sc in a MR 6
R2: inc around 12
R3: (1sc, inc) x 6 18
R4: (2sc, inc) x 6 24
R5: sc around 24
Flatten and line up the
stitches on both sides.
Crochet the following row stitches between
through both sides. [ ] go in the same
stitch
R6: (sc, [hdc, dc], 18
[dc, hdc], sc) x 3
CC to the body color in the
last stitch. Now surface sc
through the top side of the
wing until you reach the
opposite corner of the wing
(approximately 12sc), then:

Fasten off. Leave a long tail if
you’d like to embroider the

EARS
Make 2 in body color

BROWS
Optional: make 2 in body color.
Only add if your bat is angry.
NOSE
In accent color
Start with a slipknot and CH4. FO.
Attach diagonally across the
eyes. Weave in the ends.
Embroider a T-shaped nose in
your accent color of choice in the
middle of the face.

WINGS
Optional: In body color
Embroider 2 lines on each wing
(on both sides) to divide the wing
in 3 equal parts.
