 TOPIC 2

Phương: Do you think it's important to be successful with everything you do?
Oanh: I don’t think it’s necessary. It’s more important to learn from what you do, even if you
fail. How about you?
Phương: Yeah, I agree. It’s okay to fail sometimes as long as you’re trying your best. Do you
think planning is important for success?
Oanh: Definitely. Without a plan, it’s hard to stay focused. I always try to plan ahead, even for
small tasks. What about you?
Phương: Same here. Planning helps me stay organized and calm. What kind of job do you want
to have?
Oanh: I’d love to work in something creative, like design. What about you?
Phương: I want to be a teacher. I enjoy helping people understand things. Do you think people
work too much these days?
Oanh: Yes, I think people often work too long and forget to rest. It’s important to find a balance.
How do you relax?
Phương: I usually listen to music or go for a walk. It helps me clear my mind.
Which skills do you think people should learn for work?
Oanh: I think communication, teamwork, and time management are really important. Also,
problem-solving is essential for many jobs. What about you?
Phương: I agree. Those skills are key to being successful at work. What do you think success
means?
Oanh: For me, success is doing what you love and being happy with your life.
 TOPIC 3

Oanh: Do you like competitions? And do you think it’s more important to win or to take part?

Phương: Yeah, I enjoy competitions. They make things more exciting and help me improve.
But I think taking part is more important. Even if you don’t win, you still learn a lot. What about
you?

Oanh: I agree. Winning is nice, but the experience is more valuable. Do you think competitions
are good for people, and are they useful at school?
Phương: I think they’re good when they’re balanced. Competitions can help students build
skills like confidence, time management, and teamwork. But too much pressure can be harmful.
What do you think?

Oanh: Same. If we focus too much on winning, it becomes stressful. But if we enjoy the
process, it's a good experience. Do you prefer working alone or in a team?

Phương: I like working in a team because we can share ideas and support each other. But
sometimes working alone helps me focus better. How about you?

Oanh: I also like both. It depends on the task. By the way, have you ever joined a competition?

Phương: Yes, I joined a math competition at school. We had to solve problems fast, and the
prize was a scholarship. I didn’t win, but I felt proud because I tried my best.

Oanh: Nice! I joined a writing contest once. I wrote about my dream job. I didn’t win either, but
I learned a lot and felt more confident.

Phương: In the end, I think competitions are a great way to grow, even if we don’t win.
