I. OBJECTIVES (Layunin)
A. Content Standard The learners learn that:

B. Performance Standard By the end of the Quarter, learners use everyday

environment and suggest how to use them safely in
their lives. Learners apply their curiosity in the world
around them and their creativity to propose solutions to
simple challenges.
C. Learning Competencies The learners explore and demonstrate different ways to

water, or by people, such as pulling, pushing, rolling,
and carrying.
D. Objectives At the end of the lesson, the learners should be able to;

b. demonstrate how objects can be moved by pushing,
pulling, rolling, and carrying; and;
c. value the importance of cooperation, respect, and
responsibility in performing activities related to force.

that is our classroom rules. These
rules will help us become a S.T.A.R.
Each letter in S.T.A.R stands for a
rule that will help us learn safely and
happy. Do you want to know them? Yes, Teacher!

R- Raise your hand before speaking.

Since you are all doing great, before

we move on, please fix your chairs (Fix the chairs and pick up trashes under the chair)
and pick up trashes if there are any.

Our lesson is about different ways to

make objects move using pushing,
pulling, carrying and rolling.

Are you all ready to listen? Yes, Teacher!

Before we talk about those four

actions, let’s first understand one
important word — force. Can you all
read?
Eats, Teacher.
A force is a push or a pull that
makes things move.

The first word we have is Pushing.

Pushing- moving an object away

from you.

When we push something, we make

it go away from us. Let’s try!
Everyone, get your science notebook
and put it on your chair. Now, put
your hands on your table. Now, push
your notebooks gently.

What happened? It moved away

from you!

Why do you think it moved?

It moved because we pushed it!
Exactly! That’s force in action. You
used your muscles to move an object
— that’s Science!

The harder you push, the farther it

goes!

Next, we have pulling.

Pulling- moving an object close to

you.

When you pull, you move something

closer to you. Now, pull your
notebook closer to your table.
Notice how the direction of force
changes — you’re making the object
come toward you.

Now, what if an object can move by

turning over and over? That’s called
rolling!

Rolling- moving an object by

turning it over and over.

For example, roll a ball across the

floor. Roll a can, toy car, or bottle.
Rolling happens when the shape of
the object is round or circular, so it
can spin and move smoothly

Can we roll a box?

Correct! Rolling only works with No, it’s not round!

wheels.

Finally, we have carrying. When you

carry, you hold something while you
move.

For example, I will carry these

books from one table to another.
When we carry, we also use force —
our arms lift and support the object’s
weight as we move.

So, this is how object move by

pushing, pulling, rolling, and
carrying. Do you understand? Yes, teacher!

daily lives, we use these actions
without even noticing.
