(Common to ECE, AIM)

Note: This question paper contains two parts A and B.
Part A is compulsory which carries 10 marks. Answer all questions in Part A.
Part B consists of 5 Units. Answer any one full question from each unit. Each question carries 10 marks and may have a, b as sub questions.

PART- B
Q.2(a) Construct a diagonal scale to read 2 km when its RF=1:20,000. Mark on it a 5 I L3 CO1

distance of 1.15 km.


(b) The major and minor axes of an ellipse are 80 mm and 50 mm respectively. 5 I L3 CO1

Construct the curve.


OR

Q.3 Draw a cycloid for one complete revolution of a circle having 45mm 10 I L3 CO1

diameter. Draw normal and tangent to the curve is at a distance of 30 mm


above the base line.
Q.4 Draw the Projections of the following points on the same line keeping the 10 II L3 CO2

projectors 25mm apart.


i) A is 45mm above H.P and 45mm In front of V.P
ii) B 42mm above H.P and 33mm behind V.P
iii) C is 48 mm below H.P and 25mm behind V.P
iv) D 46mm below H.P and 50mm In front of V.P
v) E 40mm above H.P and on the V.P

Q.5 A square ABCD of 40 mm side has it’s a corner A in the HP, its diagonal AC 10 II L4 CO2

inclined at 45 degrees to the HP. And diagonal BD is parallel to H.P and


inclined at 30 degrees to the VP. Draw its projections.

Q.6 Draw the projections of hexagonal pyramid of base 25 mm and height 60 10 III L3 CO3

mm when one of its triangular faces lies on HP, and its base edge is at right
angle to the VP and the axis of the pyramid is parallel to VP.

Q.7 A pentagonal pyramid of 25 mm side of base and 50 mm axis length rests on 10 III L3 CO3

HP on one of its slant edges. Draw its projections when the axis is inclined to
VP at 450.
Q.8 A cube of 40mm edge stands on one of its faces on H.P with a vertical face 10 IV L4 CO4

making an angle 45 degrees to V.P.A horizontal hole of 30mm diameter is


drilled centrally through the cube such that hole passes through the opposite
vertical edge of the cube. Draw the development of lateral surface of the
cube with hole.
OR

Q.9 A hexagonal prism is resting on H.P on its base with two edges of base 10 IV L6 CO4

parallel to V.P. It is cut by an A.I.P. which is perpendicular to V.P. and


inclined to H.P. by 45 degrees and passing through a point 40 mm above the
base and on axis. Draw elevation, sectional plan, sectional side view and true
shape of section. Take side of base 30 mm and height 60 mm.

Q.10 Draw the front view, top view and any one side view of the block shown in 10 V L6 CO5

figure below. All dimensions are in mm. The arrow indicates the front view.

OR

Q.11 The two views of an object are shown in figure below. Draw its isometric 10 V L6 CO5

view. All the dimensions are in mm only.
