Script — Freshmen General Assembly 2025

August 15, 2025 | 8:00 AM | WIS Gymnasium

Opening

Marinelle:
"Good morning, Westmeadians! Welcome to our much-awaited Freshmen
General Assembly 2025! I’m Marinelle…"

Edmon:
"And I’m Edmon, and we’ll be your Masters of Ceremony for today’s exciting
and memorable event."

Marinelle:
"Today is all about giving our freshmen a warm welcome, inspiring them, and
making sure they start their journey here at Westmead full of energy and
confidence."

Edmon:
"That’s right, Marinelle. We have a day packed with meaningful messages,
talent showcases, fun games, and even a flash mob—so stay with us until
the very end!"

I. Opening Prayer

Marinelle:
"To officially begin our program, may I invite everyone to please stand and
join us in prayer, to be led by Ms. Hannah Silva, WIS Student Council P.I.O."

II. National Anthem & Westmead Hymn

Edmon:
"Thank you, Hannah. Please remain standing as we sing the Philippine
National Anthem followed by the Westmead Hymn, to be led by the WIS
Choir."

III. Welcome Remarks

Marinelle:
"You may now be seated. To deliver her warm welcome message, please join
me in giving a round of applause to our President and CEO, Dr. Arlene D.
Castor."
(Speech)

IV. Inspirational Message

Edmon:
"Thank you, Dr. Castor. And now, to share words that will surely inspire and
guide us as we embark on another school year, let us welcome our Vice
President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Marites D. Manlongat."

V. Intermission Number

Marinelle:
"Thank you for that inspiring message, Dr. Manlongat. Now, to showcase the
vibrant talent of our students, here’s a performance from the Westmead
Dance Company!"

VI. Organization Segment

Edmon:
"At this point, let’s get to know the different organizations here at Westmead
through messages from their presidents. Represented today are:

 School of Economics Business and Accountancy

 College of Tourism and Hospitality Management

 College of Teacher Education

 College of Arts and Sciences"

Marinelle:
"Next, let’s watch a special Video Presentation that will give us a deeper
look at our school community and its vibrant culture."

Edmon:
"And now, here’s a musical treat from our very own Solo Vocals Champion
2024, Charles Usi. Let’s give him a big round of applause!"
IX. Fun Games / Ice Breakers

Marinelle:
"Are you ready to have some fun? Let’s bring up the energy with our Fun
Games and Ice Breakers! We have:

X. Flash Mob

Edmon:
"That was a lot of fun! But we’re not done yet—up next, a Flash Mob led by
all our Organization Presidents! Let’s cheer them on!"

Marinelle:
"As we close today’s event, we leave you with a message from our Student
Council President, John Cedrick M. Cepillo."
