1. Briefly explain the scope of

2. Differentiate between RCC and PSC
3. State and Prove the Varignon’s theorem of moments.
4. For the non-concurrent co planar system shown in Fig , determinethe magnitude,
direction and position of the resultant force with reference to A.

5. State and explain the basic concept of idealization of mechanics.


6. State (i) Principle of transmissibility ii) Resolution and composition forces.
7. The sum of two concurrent forces P and Q is 500N and their resultant is 400N. If the
resultant is perpendicular to P, find P, Q and angle between P and Q.
8. Determine the resultant of the force system acting on the plate as shown in fig.
, with respect to AB and AD.
