Luis Sánchez Pérez
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Hello! My name is Luis, and I am a 4th-grade student from San
Miguel de Cajamarca.
When I was younger, I was shy, but now I feel confident when
speaking English.
I am creative, curious, and passionate about technology.
I have always been the friend who fixes computers when someone
presses the wrong button.
A YEAR FULL OF MOTION
This school year has been an adventure.
In March, I was trying to understand my new schedule while
everyone else was running around the classroom.
By May, I had completed my first English podcast—although my
little brother was dancing behind me!
In August, while I was presenting, the electricity went out, but I
kept talking. My teacher said I had shown real confidence.
LIFE IN SAN MIGUEL - CAJAMARCA
I live in San Miguel, a peaceful place with green hills.
When I was a child, I used to play football in the
fields with my cousins.
Last summer, while I was visiting my grandparents,
we found a baby goat and took care of it until the
owner arrived.
MY DAY-TO-DAY STORY
I usually wake up early, listening to music as the sun
is rising.
At school, my friends and I play football during
break.
Last week, the ball flew over the fence while we were
celebrating.
At home, I study, draw, and create digital stories.
One night, the power went out, so I finished using my
phone flashlight.
MY FAVORITE SUBJECTS
English: I have improved my reading
and speaking.
History: I enjoy learning about ancient
cultures.
Science: Our volcano project almost
exploded!
Art: I draw landscapes inspired by
Cajamarca.
SPECIAL MEMORIES
Science Fair: Our posters blew away
while we were explaining!
Anniversary Parade: We marched
through town with music everywhere.
Digital Storyverse: I had never
imagined creating digital stories
before.
ACHIEVEMENTS I’M PROUD OF
This year:
I participated actively in
projects.
I won second place in the
reading contest.
I have created my first
digital book.
I was improving every
week.
DREAMS FOR THE FUTURE
Next year, I will start 5th grade.
I am going to prepare for university
and keep improving my English.
If I study daily, I get better.
If I continue working hard, I will
achieve my goals.
A MESSAGE FOR MY FRIENDS
This year has been full of laughter
and teamwork.
We were helping each other
during tests and sharing snacks
every break.
Thank you for every moment.
“If friendship is our map, we will
never get lost.”
