THE SINNER’S PATH TO TRUE CHRISTIANITY

For we human beings who are sinners, after interaction

with the gospel truth we have an inward urge and an
internal nudge calling us to change and embrace a new
way of life. The path of true Spiritual vitality, and being
consistent in our growth in Christ is rather difficult. From
my own experience I have found that it is impossible for a
human being to change themselves from sin to
righteousness and purity of thought and character. This is
because it is our nature to follow a path of sin, and there is
no remedy to sin for you. Then that means your fate for
death is sealed, is it not? Well yeah, but there’s an unfair
advantage that we have been given, someone took upon
Himself the difficult life of humanity to provide a solution
to the problem that was impossible to solve, sin. If you are
making a guess, it would probably land on Jesus Christ,
The Son of God, The Messiah. The story that’s always
taken so lightly and assumed to be for small children only,
holds the answer to sin, for you. From His leaving of
Heaven, to His birth, life, sufferings and death , His
resurrection all this has much for us to see in light of the
answer to the sin problem.

In this document, I purpose to shed a bit more light on the

same.

THE SACRIFICE OF CHRIST

It would have been an almost infinite humiliation

for the Son of God to take man’s nature, even
when Adam stood in his innocence in Eden.
But Jesus accepted humanity when the race had
been weakened by four thousand years of sin. Like
every child of Adam He accepted the results of the
working of the great law of heredity. What these
results were is shown in the history of His earthly
ancestors. He came with such a heredity to share
our sorrows and temptations, and to give us
the example of a sinless life.
Satan in heaven had hated Christ for His position
in the courts of God. He hated Him the more when
he himself was dethroned. He hated Him who
pledged Himself to redeem a race of sinners. Yet
into the world where Satan claimed dominion God
permitted His Son to come, a helpless
babe, subject to the weakness of humanity. He
permitted Him to meet life’s peril in common with
every human soul, to fight the battle as every child
of humanity must fight it, at the risk of failure and
eternal loss.—The Desire of Ages, 49.
Wondrous combination of man and God!
He might have helped His human nature to
withstand the inroads of disease by pouring from
His divine nature vitality and undecaying vigor to
the human. But He humbled Himself to man’s
nature.... God became man!—The Review and
Herald, September 4, 1900.

2 Corinthians 8:9
9 For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that,
though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor,
that ye through his poverty might be rich.

This was the first step in The plan of salvation Christ being
humbled to the form of a man. Hebrews 2:5-9
The reason is found in verses 17 and 18.

So how does this apply to our journey towards

righteousness?
We are like Christ to humble ourselves and accept by the
help of God our horrible state of sinfulness and your
insufficiency to save yourself as a human being.
Understand that all your good religious works will never
ever save you. Appreciate that you are not better than any
other sinner because your sins are less or not as evil as
theirs may be. By this acceptance of weakness and
complete distrust in yourself for your own righteousness,
looking unto Jesus only as our standard. Phil 2:5-11.
Romans 7.

This form allows you to allow Christ to mold your character

and fashion you for heaven as the creator. As clay, do not
be rigid and unwilling to be broken and burnt by the
working of Christ to bring about perfection in Character.
Psalm 51;10, Gal 2;20, 2 Cor 5;13-21.

HIS BIRTH
Over the ages something that was once so sacred and
amazing to think about for hopeless humanity, has
become so simple. The birth of our saviour. The birth itself
holds so much for we ourselves to use in our walks of faith
Isaiah7:14-16

Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin
shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

15 Butter and honey shall he eat, that he may know to refuse the
evil, and choose the good.

16 For before the child shall know to refuse the evil, and choose the
good, the land that thou abhorrest shall be forsaken of both her
kings.

By the conception of a virgin we are shown that the Birth

of Christ was completely divine and not by the power or by
the might of humanity. Matthew 1;20-25.
We are able to see that Joseph had nothing to do with the
conception of Christ. Something else that’s interesting to
me is that the moment Joseph found out about the
pregnancy, he was to leave Mary. The same way in our
journeys of Spiritual growth, we will be left by those
closest to us because our new hearts are not pleasant
unto them.
The name IMMANUEL is one of great significance. It shows
that God’s presence in humanity is what saves from sin.
Hence, when God is dwelling within your heart, your
salvation is guaranteed.
Interestingly enough, the priests and pharisees were
unable to discern the birth of Christ yet they were the
ones who were studious of the bible, and outwardly pious
and holy. Yet the HUMBLE SHEPHERDS were informed of
this amazing news by the angelic host. It goes to show
that in Humility and self distrust does God reveal to us his
secret of salvation that is Jesus. Luke 2;7-20.
Christ chose a manger not an inn. A manger is the place
where cattle feed, it’s not an ideal place for a king. But for
Him it was. A sign of humility and sacrifice as He was
being born summarized his entire life. The swaddling
clothes point us to the point where humanity first sinned.
The material for their first garment was the wool of the
lamb to cover the nakedness brought about by sin. That
was what would do for the entire human race by His
death, the swaddling cloth show us His mission for
humanity, salvation, when clothed with love of Christ and
His mercy through His blood , How warm is that feeling,
acceptance by the Most High , freedom from the cold of
the Dark night of sin.
The bible makes known to us that God is Love( 1 John 4;8-
11). And the Fruit of the Spirit is also Love( Gal 5:22-25).
This means that Christs birth in us as was in Mary, is the
manifestation of The Spirit in the heart of a sinner. It is
what enables the heart to be melted according to his love
the heart will no longer yearn for Evil for it will be Christ in
the heart. The flesh subdued and the Spirit empowered for
righteousness.Romans8;1-10.

The next thing is the eating of butter and honey and

knowing right from wrong. This has been used to
symbolize the scriptures. Contrary to what most think, The
scripture cannot save rather, the bible only enriches the
one who is already alive in Christ to continue their path in
Him. John 5:38-45

38 And ye have not his word abiding in you: for whom he hath sent,
him ye believe not.
39 Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life:
and they are they which testify of me.

40 And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life.

41 I receive not honour from men.

42 But I know you, that ye have not the love of God in you.

43 I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not: if

another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.

44 How can ye believe, which receive honour one of another, and

seek not the honour that cometh from God only?

45 Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father: there is one
that accuseth you, even Moses, in whom ye trust.

The scriptures testify of Jesus and point us to Him for our

salvation. The mere knowledge of scripture imparts no
peculiar strength to overcome evil or sin, but with the love
of God in the heart, the scripture can be applied during
temptation to obtain strength over evil, as did Jesus. Luke
4:4-13. The understanding of the word can only come from
Christ, for He is the word, John 1:1-4, John 6:26-51. The
acceptance of the Spirit in the heart and allowing Him to
birth Christ is what can enable you understand the depths
of what scripture has to offer. It is Christ in the heart that
gives the scripture power to mold you and lead you life
everlasting.

Make your heart the Bethlehem for Christ to be born by

being willing to let your old self die to usher in the way for
the new self in Christ

THE LIFE
Isaiah 52;14-53:3
“14 Just as there were many who were appalled at him[a]—
his appearance was so disfigured beyond that of any human
being
and his form marred beyond human likeness—
 15 so he will sprinkle many nations,[b]
and kings will shut their mouths because of him.
For what they were not told, they will see,
and what they have not heard, they will understand.
53 Who has believed our message
and to whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed?
2 He grew up before him like a tender shoot,
and like a root out of dry ground.
He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to him,
nothing in his appearance that we should desire him.
3 He was despised and rejected by mankind,
a man of suffering, and familiar with pain.
Like one from whom people hide their faces
he was despised, and we held him in low esteem.”

This is quite an interesting account that the beloved King

of Heaven would come to earth to live not just a poor
life, but in a body that none would ever take recognition
to. If Christ were to be brought to you today you would
much rather walk past Him than talk to Him, for He did
not seem like the Son Of God. He abandoned His glorious
form for the sake of humanity, that He as God might
become man and understand what it truly means to
have to rely on God for strength to yield righteousness.
His previous form is documented in Songs of Solomon
5:10-16, Daniel 10:5-6.
Why then would he have to become such a humble
human?
He did so to solidify a point. The point being that we as
human beings in our own sufficiency of beauty,
righteousness, and holiness can ultimately do nothing for
our freedom from sin. This humble man in appearance had
massive crowds following Him. And there’s something he
always said: Your faith has made thee whole. Likewise, we
are acquitted of sin by faith in the son of God. The faith in
itself comes from The Holy Spirit and by which we are then
made righteous.
Romans 3:21-4:8

God’s Righteousness Through Faith

21 But now the righteousness of God apart from the law is

revealed, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets, 22 even
the righteousness of God, through faith in Jesus Christ, to all [a]and
on all who believe. For there is no difference; 23 for all have sinned
and fall short of the glory of God, 24 being justified [b]freely by His
grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, 25 whom God
set forth as a [c]propitiation by His blood, through faith, to
demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had
passed over the sins that were previously committed, 26 to
demonstrate at the present time His righteousness, that He might
be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.

Boasting Excluded

27 Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? Of works?

No, but by the law of faith. 28 Therefore we conclude that a man
is [d]justified by faith apart from the deeds of the law. 29 Or is He the
God of the Jews only? Is He not also the God of the Gentiles? Yes, of
the Gentiles also, 30 since there is one God who will justify the
circumcised by faith and the uncircumcised through faith. 31 Do we
then make void the law through faith? Certainly not! On the
contrary, we establish the law.

Abraham Justified by Faith

4 What then shall we say that Abraham our father[e] has found
according to the flesh? 2 For if Abraham was justified by works, he
has something to boast about, but not before God. 3 For what does
the Scripture say? “Abraham believed God, and it was [f]accounted
to him for righteousness.” 4 Now to him who works, the wages are
not counted [g]as grace but as debt.

David Celebrates the Same Truth

5 But to him who does not work but believes on Him who
justifies the ungodly, his faith is accounted for righteousness, 6 just
as David also describes the blessedness of the man to whom God
imputes righteousness apart from works:

7 “Blessed are those whose lawless deeds are forgiven,

And whose sins are covered;
8 Blessed is the man to whom the LORD shall not impute sin.”

After an appreciation of the weakness and insignificance

of yourself as a human being, as far as righteousness is
concerned, how then can you have faith in Him whom ye
know not?
Christ had a vital dependence upon the Lord for all that He
would do. Do you? He spent countless hours in prayer in
solitude with God.
PRAYER

From this we see we should cultivate prayer into a habit

and make our connection a friendship and desire to be the
friends of God. Below are a few verses on prayer and
powerful quotes too. Prayer and faith is what made Christ
perform miracles, preach so powerfully, make wise
decisions yet live so humbly and quietly.

We never really understand how the death of Christ helps

us. Or even how we can learn from His experience.
Well the Lord has a perfect law broken by a sinful man. He
being just can not change His law. But He is mercy and
love. How then are they both supposed to work together?
Well that’s where the sacrifice of Christ comes in.
Jesus Christ, being the creator of man has the life itself
stemming from within [Link] by the death of one
man, a perfect man, all may have life. 1 Corinthians15:45-
49


Verse 45: "So it is written: 'The first man Adam became a living being'; the
last Adam, a life-giving spirit".

"The first man was of the dust of the earth; the second man is of heaven".

"As was the earthly man, so are those who are of the earth; and as is the
heavenly man, so also are those who are of heaven".

By his perfect life on earth he represented the possibility

of the righteousness that men may acquire through Him.
By his death he fulfilled the law taking upon himself the
guilt of all mankind hence his feeling of separation from
God. This is recorded in Matthew 27:46. Christ death was
done willingly as he had all the power to stop himself from
being arrested or even killed(Matthew 26:53-56).
We too should submit our lives to the working and power
of the Holy Spirit if we truly desire salvation. Let allow God
to save us, by willingly giving up our lives of sin to the
working of the savior.
John 12:24-25
24 Most assuredly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the
ground and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it produces
much [d]grain. 25 He who loves his life will lose it, and he who hates
his life in this world will keep it for eternal life.

We should be willing to allow Christ help us carry our

cross. Do not burden yourself with the immensely heavy
weight of your own salvation. Allow Christ to walk with you
and carry you through, he makes the burden lighter and
the load tolerable. If not, we will find the gospel too
difficult and we ourselves will make it difficult for others.
We are therefore meant to take His yoke, his journey
characterized by full reliance on the will of God and
dependence on The father for strength, and the Spirit for
guidance. That yoke should we willingly take up for it
makes the path easy and light.
“When men submit to His yoke, when they give up the
struggle that has been unprofitable for themselves and for
the cause of God, they will find peace and rest. When they
become sensible of their own weaknesses, their own
deficiencies, they will delight to God’s will. They will
submit to the yoke of Christ. Then God can work in them
to will and to do for his good pleasure, which is often
entirely contrary to the plans of the Human mind. When
the heavenly anointing comes to us, we shall learn lessons
of meekness and lowliness, which always bring rest to the
soul” ( Review and Herald Oct 23 1900)
Matthew11:25-30.

Matthew 16:21-27

21 From that time Jesus began to show to His disciples that He must
go to Jerusalem, and suffer many things from the elders and chief
priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised the third day.

22 Then Peter took Him aside and began to rebuke Him,

saying, [i]“Far be it from You, Lord; this shall not happen to You!”

23 But He turned and said to Peter, “Get behind Me, Satan! You
are [j]an offense to Me, for you are not mindful of the things of God,
but the things of men.”

Take Up the Cross and Follow Him

24 Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone desires to come after
Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow
Me. 25 For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever
loses his life for My sake will find it. 26 For what profit is it to a man
if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a
man give in exchange for his soul? 27 For the Son of Man will come
in the glory of His Father with His angels, and then He will reward
each according to his works.

We should learn from Peter’s example. We can by no

means be Christians without the cross. Do not prevent the
Lamb from the sacrifice for that’s the influence of the
Devil, to blind us from the very centre of the scripture and
your life as a human being. Deny yourself of your
sufficiency and knowledge of scripture and allow the Lord
work in you. It has been made Clear that it is a life long
process of change it doesn’t happen once but daily. Let us
make our sanctification our greatest desire. TO BE LIKE
JESUS.

In Christ’s death the bones were never broken. The body

of Christ is the Bread of Life( John 6:48-50). The bread of
life is also the word of God ( John 1:1-4). This means that
by the death of self, and the acceptance of Christ’s
sacrifice we are to keep His word, His commandments
without fail, as a sign of our Love for him( John 14:15). The
keeping of The Law is the whole essence of sacrifice. It’s
just that we can’t do it on our own that’s why the bible in
Galatians 3:10-29 and Colossians 2:11-23, we see that the
law brings a curse because humans can not keep it one
their own( Romans 7:15-24). Hence it only reveals sin but
since you can not b righteous it without Christ serves
nothing but condemnation. But through the faith in the
atoning sacrifice of Jesus we have divine strength to
overcome sin and keep the law ( Ephesians 2:1-10).
Therefore, by the grace of God of sending His son, and by
faith in the son’s atonement and righteousness we can
have true salvation and freedom from the bonds of sin. For
sin is the transgression of the law.

RESSURECTION
Without the resurrection of Christ we have no assurance of
victory over sin and being able to attain eternal life. For if
the penalty of death became permanent humanity would
have no means of resurrection to eternal life if Life itself
were dead.

The Risen Christ, Faith’s Reality

15 Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached

to you, which also you received and in which you stand, 2 by which
also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to
you—unless you believed in vain.

3 For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that
Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4 and that He
was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the
Scriptures, 5 and that He was seen by [a]Cephas, then by the
twelve. 6 After that He was seen by over five hundred brethren at
once, of whom the greater part remain to the present, but some
have [b]fallen asleep. 7 After that He was seen by James, then by all
the apostles. 8 Then last of all He was seen by me also, as by one
born out of due time.

The Risen Christ, Our Hope

12 Now if Christ is preached that He has been raised from the dead,
how do some among you say that there is no resurrection of the
dead? 13 But if there is no resurrection of the dead, then Christ is
not risen. 14 And if Christ is not risen, then our preaching is empty
and your faith is also empty. 15 Yes, and we are found false
witnesses of God, because we have testified of God that He raised
up Christ, whom He did not raise up—if in fact the dead do not
rise. 16 For if the dead do not rise, then Christ is not risen. 17 And if
Christ is not risen, your faith is futile; you are still in your
sins! 18 Then also those who have [c]fallen asleep in Christ have
perished. 19 If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all
men the most pitiable.

The resurrection of Christ enables us to have refinement

of our Character into His likeness. The New Man is born
within us. Have no semblance of the sin that once bound it
and held it captive.

Colossians 3:12-17,
12 Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender
mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering; 13 bearing
with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a
complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you
also must do. 14 But above all these things put on love, which is
the bond of perfection. 15 And let the peace of God rule in your
hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be
thankful. 16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom,
teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and
spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the
Lord. 17 And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of
the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.

1 Corinthians 15:42-44
42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. The body is sown in
corruption, it is raised in incorruption. 43 It is sown in dishonor, it is
raised in glory. It is sown in weakness, it is raised in power. 44 It is
sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural
body, and there is a spiritual body.

In the resurrection we not only have hope for our

perfection and righteousness but we also have an
assurance that when The Lord returns, The dead in Christ
will rise to meet him in the air, and we will go to Heaven
with our Beloved Lord and Saviour.

The Comfort of Christ’s Coming

13 But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those

who have fallen [b]asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no
hope. 14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so
God will bring with Him those who [c]sleep in Jesus.

15 For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are
alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means
precede those who are [d]asleep. 16 For the Lord Himself will
descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel,
and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise
first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up
together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And
thus we shall always be with the Lord. 18 Therefore comfort one
another with these words.

After the finality of assurance of your salvation we can

rest in the assurance of salvation as did Job. Job 19:25-27
For I know that my Redeemer lives,
And He shall stand at last on the earth;
26 And after my skin is [f]destroyed, this I know,
That in my flesh I shall see God,
27 Whom I shall see for myself,
And my eyes shall behold, and not another.
How my [g]heart yearns within me!

WE CAN REST IN THE SAME ASSURANCE OF SALVATION AND NEW

LIFE IN JESUS. PLEASE COME TO JESUS AND RECEIVE LIFE. PRAY AND
ASK HIM TO TAKE FULL CONTROL. HE LOVES YOU AND WANTS
NOTHING BUT YOUR SALVATION. THE DOOR STANDS OPEN. RUN TO
THE WATERS OF LIFE AND LET HIM BE KING OF YOUR LIFE . TRULY
ALL ELSE COMES AFTER CHRIST. SO, LET JESUS INTO YOUR HEART
TODAY. MAKE IT A BETHLEHEM.
