INTEGRAL FORMULAE – COMPLETE SHEET

1. Basic Algebraic Integrals

∫ x^n dx = x^(n+1)/(n+1) + C (n ≠ -1)

∫ dx/x = ln|x| + C

2. Trigonometric Integrals

∫ sin x dx = -cos x + C

∫ cos x dx = sin x + C

∫ sec^2 x dx = tan x + C

∫ csc^2 x dx = -cot x + C

∫ sec x tan x dx = sec x + C

∫ csc x cot x dx = -csc x + C

3. Inverse Trigonometric Integrals

∫ dx/√(1 - x^2) = sin■¹x + C

∫ dx/(1 + x^2) = tan■¹x + C

∫ dx/(|x|√(x^2 - 1)) = sec■¹x + C

4. Exponential & Logarithmic

∫ e^x dx = e^x + C

∫ a^x dx = a^x / ln(a) + C

∫ ln x dx = x ln x – x + C

5. Rational Functions

∫ dx/(x^2 + a^2) = (1/a) tan■¹(x/a) + C

∫ dx/(x^2 - a^2) = (1/2a) ln|(x - a)/(x + a)| + C

∫ dx/√(a^2 - x^2) = sin■¹(x/a) + C

∫ dx/√(x^2 + a^2) = ln|x + √(x^2 + a^2)| + C

6. Important Integrals

∫ dx/(a + bx) = (1/b) ln|a + bx| + C

∫ dx/(ax + b)^2 = -1/[a(ax + b)] + C

∫ e^{ax} sin bx dx = e^{ax}(a sin bx - b cos bx)/(a^2+b^2) + C

∫ e^{ax} cos bx dx = e^{ax}(a cos bx + b sin bx)/(a^2+b^2) + C

7. Integration Rules

∫ (af(x) + bg(x)) dx = a∫f(x)dx + b∫g(x)dx

Substitution: If u = f(x), ∫ f'(x) g(f(x)) dx = ∫ g(u) du

Integration by parts: ∫ u dv = uv – ∫ v du

8. Useful Trig Identities

sin²x = (1 – cos 2x)/2

cos²x = (1 + cos 2x)/2

sec²x = 1 + tan²x

csc²x = 1 + cot²x

9. Definite Integral Properties

∫■■ f(x) dx = 0

∫■■ f(x) dx = −∫■■ f(x) dx

Even function: ∫■■■ f(x) dx = 2∫■■ f(x) dx

Odd function: ∫■■■ f(x) dx = 0
