The Internet is popular for many reasons. First of all, people use it for entertainment. There
are several ways to entertain yourself on the Internet. You can chat with your friends, share
your photos on Facebook, watch videos or movies, listen to music or play games. When you
are bored, you can turn on your computer and spend many enjoyable hours on the Internet.
Secondly, people use the Internet to communicate. There are a lot of ways to communicate
on the Internet. For more formal communication, people prefer writing emails. When they
want to communicate with their friends, they can use applications like Facebook Messenger or
Twitter. These provide free and easy methods of communication. Finally, the Internet is
informative. There are many online courses on the Internet. If people don’t have enough time
to go to courses, they can take lessons online. There are many other educational activities
too. For example, people practice foreign languages with people from different countries or
find free grammar exercises online. People can also read the newspapers and get the latest
news or learn something new from web pages such as Wikipedia or Ekşi Sözlük. In short, the
Internet is useful in many ways, making it very popular around the world.
