Cover Letter – Python Application Developer (BOFA)

Manoj M K
Python Application Developer
India

Dear Hiring Manager,

I am writing to apply for the Python Application Developer – BOFA position (Requisition ID:
1630724) at EY. With over 5 years and 1 month of hands-on experience in Python
development and building enterprise-grade applications across banking, finance, and
automation domains, I am confident in my ability to contribute effectively to your Digital
Engineering team.

Throughout my career, I have worked extensively with Core Python concepts including
object-oriented programming, data structures, decorators, lambda functions, and
serialization techniques such as pickling. I have strong experience developing RESTful APIs
using FastAPI and Flask, and building data pipelines and automation frameworks using
Pandas, NumPy, and SQL. My work has involved complex data extraction, transformation,
and validation for financial and transactional systems.

I have delivered multiple production systems in BFSI environments, including workflow

automation platforms, document processing engines, and API-driven microservices. I
regularly work with relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, and SQL Server, and I
am well-versed in writing optimized queries for reporting and data analysis.

On the frontend, I have experience integrating Python backends with [Link] and
TypeScript-based interfaces, ensuring responsive, clean, and scalable UI components. I am
comfortable working in CI/CD environments using Git and Azure DevOps, and I have
deployed applications on both AWS and Azure cloud platforms.

I am an Agile practitioner who actively participates in sprint planning, backlog grooming,

estimations, daily standups, and retrospectives using JIRA and Scrum frameworks. I take
ownership of user stories from development through testing, validation, and demo delivery,
always ensuring adherence to acceptance criteria.

What excites me about EY is your focus on data, AI, and digital transformation in the
financial services industry. My experience in banking-related automation, data processing,
and API platforms aligns well with the BOFA program’s requirements. I bring a strong
engineering mindset, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering reliable and
scalable solutions.
I would welcome the opportunity to bring my technical expertise and BFSI experience to EY
and contribute to building a better working world.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Sincerely,
Manoj M K
