Objectives
The main objectives of this lab session on Microsoft Excel are:
1. To understand the basic features and interface of Microsoft
Excel.
2. To learn how to create, edit, format, and save worksheets and
workbooks.
3. To apply various formatting options such as font styles, sizes,
colors, alignment, orientation, and conditional formatting.
4. To create and manage tables, insert and delete rows and columns,
and use sorting and filtering under different conditions.
5. To represent data graphically using charts such as bar, pie, line,
and scatter charts.
6. To use formulas and functions like SUM, AVERAGE, MAX,
MIN, COUNT, IF, and data validation for accurate data analysis.
7. To understand advanced Excel tools such as Goal Seek, Scenario
Manager, Data Tables, and Pivot Tables for effective data
analysis and presentation.

Conclusion:
In this lab session, we successfully learned how to create and use
formulas and functions in Microsoft Excel. By applying different types
of functions and formulas, we understood the importance of breaking
complex calculations into smaller, logical steps. This approach not
only makes the worksheet more organized and readable but also
enhances efficiency and accuracy.
Through practical examples, we observed how Excel functions help in
reducing manual calculations, avoid errors, and simplify data analysis.
Overall, this lab strengthened our understanding of Excel’s capabilities
and their role in managing and analyzing data effectively.
