Conditional Sentence

If/Unless যুক্ত Sentence কে Conditional Sentence বলে।দুটি অংশ থালে।

Conditional Sentence গুলো Complex Sentenceহয়।

Kinds of Conditional Sentence: ৪ প্রোর

Modal Auxiliaries

বববিন্ন ধরলের মলের িাব প্রোলশর জেে Modal Auxiliaries বেবহার েরা হয়।শুধু verb দ্বারা মলের িাব সম্পূ র্ি
ত ালব প্রোশ েরা সম্ভব হয় ো।

Modal গুলো হলছেঃ

Can/Could, Shal/Should, Will/Would, May/Might, Must, Need, Dare, Ought to, Have to, Be to, Be able to, Be going to, Have
better, Would rather etc.

Can

➢ বর্ত মান সামর্থত য ঃ I can do it. He can speak four languages.


➢ অেু মবর্: Can I use your laptop?
➢ অেু লরাধ: Can you tell me where the passport office is?
➢ সম্ভাবো: Smoking can cause cancer.
➢ ববেীর্ প্রস্তাব: Can I make a suggestion? Can I help you with those bags?

Could

➢ অর্ীর্ সামর্থত য He could run a mile at a stretch. He could play the violin when he was six.
➢ Can এর চেয়ে চবশি শবনীর্ অনু য়রাধ , অনু মশর্ প্রকায়ি Could I use your phone, please? Could I have a glass of water? Could
I use your phone, please?
➢ ক্ষীণ বা অশনশির্ সম্ভাবনা She could arrive at any time. She studied very hard so that she could get A+.
(যা অর্ীয়র্ হওো বা ঘটা সম্ভব শিয় া শকন্তু র্া হেশন বা ঘয়ট শন এবং যা সম্ভবর্ সর্য শি শকন্তু বক্তা চস বযাপায়র অশনশির্ এমন

➢ িববষ্েৎ অেু মাে বা সম্ভাবোেঃ It may rain. (বৃ বি হলর্ পালর)

Might

➢ ক্ষীণ সম্ভাবনা It might rain. (বৃ বি হলেও হলর্ পালর)


➢ বর্ত মান অনু মান বু ঝায়র্ Might be (verb+ing) বযবহৃর্ হে He might be leaving country.
➢ অর্ীয়র্র চকায়না কাজ অনু মান করয়র্ Might have (v3) বযবহৃর্ হে The rain might have stopped by now.
Must
➢ চকায়না শকিু করা খু ব জরুশর দরকার I must get some sleep.
➢ চকায়না ঘটনা শনশির্ অনু মান করা You must be tired after your long journey.
➢ বাধযবাধকর্া You must answer the question number 10.
➢ শনয়েধাজ্া Luggage mustn’t be left unattended.

Must be (Verb+ing): পূ য়বত উয়েশখর্ বা জানা চকায়না ঘটনা চর্থয়ক বু ঝা যায়ে চয বর্ত মায়ন চকায়না ঘটনা অবিযই ঘটয়ি।

I keep meeting him on bus. He must be living near by.

অর্ীলর্র কোলো ঘটো অবশেই ঘলট থােলব এমে বেবির্ অেু মাে কবাঝালর্ Must have+v3 বেবহার হয়।

You must have heard of emperor Akbar. (র্ু বম অবশেই সম্রাট আেবলরর োম শুলে থােলব)

Should

➢ কায়রা শকিু করা উশের্ বা উশের্ নে You should accept her proposal. You should not disobey your mother’s advices.
➢ কায়রা চকায়না শকিু করা উশের্ শি বা উশের্ হেশন চবাঝায়র্ ought (not) to have/ should have+v3 বযবহৃর্ হে।

You should have done the work. You should have studied harder. You shouldn’t have lied to me. You oughtn’t to have lied
to me.

➢ সম্ভাবো বু ঝালর্েঃ Should anyone call (if anyone calls), please tell them I am busy.

Would

➢ অর্ীলর্ িববষ্েৎ কবাঝালর্: কোলো োজ অর্ীলর্র দৃবিলোর্ কথলে িববষ্েলর্ ঘটলব বলে কবাঝালর্ would বেবহৃর্ হয়।
He said he would come tomorrow. (কস বলেবিে, কস আগামীোে আসলব।)
➢ বশিাচারপূ র্ত অেু লরাধ বা প্রস্তাবেঃ Would you help me, please? Would you like some coffee? (আপবে বে বেিু েবফ বেলর্ চাে?)
➢ অর্ীলর্ বারবার ঘটর্ এমে অিোস বা োজ কবাঝালর্ would বেবহৃর্ হয়।
When we were kids, we would play in the park every evening.
➢ সম্ভাবোেঃ That would be amazing! (ওটা োরুর্ হলব!)
