Handling and Application Information
Directions for Use
1. Sand or Grind properly cleaned surface with grade 36 - 80 grit abrasive, blow off dust with clean dry
compressed air.
2. Cut 3M™ Fiberglass Cloth (PN05838) or 3M™ Fiberglass Mat (PN05837) allowing 1.5" overlap
around damaged area (if additional strength is needed two layers are suggested).
3. Mix applicable amount of 3M™ Fiberglass Resin (PN05833 or 05834) with 1-2% 3M™ Liquid
Hardener (PN05836) stir in well with a clean paint stick.
4. Using a clean paint brush or roller paint a coat of 3M™ Fiberglass Resin (PN05833 or 05834) on the
prepared surface.
5. On a clean dry non-porous surface saturate prepared 3M™ Fiberglass Cloth (PN05838) or 3M™
Fiberglass Mat (PN05837) with 3M™ Fiberglass Resin (PN05833 or 05834) on both sides.
6. Place saturated 3M™ Fiberglass Cloth (PN05838) or 3M™ Fiberglass Mat (PN05837) over damage
and apply additional coats of 3M™Fiberglass Resin (PN05833 or 05834) to completely coat into prepared
area.
7. Allow to cure to a hard state (dependent upon temperature and amount of hardener) and grind or
sand with 36-40 grit abrasive. Blow off with clean dry compressed air.
8. If desired apply 3M™Body filler to complete cosmetic surface repair.
