INTRODUCTION
Wildlife is an integral part of India’s natural heritage, contributing
to the ecological balance, cultural richness, and biodiversity of
the country. With forests, rivers, mountains, and grasslands
supporting a wide variety of animals and plants, India is home to
some of the world’s most unique and endangered species.
However, factors like habitat destruction, poaching, pollution, and
climate change have posed serious threats to wildlife.
Recognizing the importance of protecting these species, India has
implemented numerous conservation efforts, including wildlife
sanctuaries, national parks, and laws aimed at preserving
endangered animals and their habitats.
This project explores the significance of wildlife conservation in
India, highlights key initiatives taken by the government, and
emphasizes the role each one of us can play in protecting our
natural heritage for future generations.

WHAT IS WILDLIFFE
CONSERVATION ??
Wildlife conservation is the practice of protecting wild animals,
plants, and their natural habitats to ensure that they continue to
thrive for future generations. It involves safeguarding species from
threats like habitat loss, poaching, pollution, and climate change.
Conservation efforts include creating protected areas such as
national parks and wildlife sanctuaries, implementing laws and
regulations to prevent hunting and exploitation, and promoting
awareness about the importance of biodiversity. The goal of
wildlife conservation is not only to preserve individual species but
also to maintain the balance of ecosystems, which is essential for
the health of the planet and the survival of all living beings.
