Abstract – The aim of this study was to examine the belief levels of individuals with and without sport
sciences faculty students towards the nutritional supplements they use. In order to determine the belief
levels of athletes, the “Sports Nutritional Supplements Belief Scale”, which was developed by Hurst et al.
in 2017 and adapted into Turkish by Karafil et al. in 2021 and consists of 6 questions, was used. In
addition, the participants were asked to fill out a personal information form consisting of 5 questions. A
total of 133 individuals, 73 women with an average age of 24.21 ± 3.42 years and 60 men with an average
age of 27.67 ± 6.00 years, participated voluntarily in this study. The sample group was reached digitally.
Data were analyzed using the statistical package program. As a result of the statistical analysis,
statistically significant results were obtained in favor of those who use nutritional supplements in terms of
the variable of nutritional supplement use status, and in favor of individuals who do sports 5 times a week
or more in the variable of frequency of physical activity (p<0.05). According to the analysis made in
terms of gender variable, no statistically significant result was obtained between female and male
individuals (p>0.05). In the statistical analysis according to the variable of being a student of sports
sciences faculty, the nutritional supplement belief level of individuals who were students of sports
sciences faculty was found to be higher (p<0.05). It can be said that nutritional supplements are needed to
recover the body that is worn out as the frequency of physical activity increases and to provide more
improvement in performance. It can be said that the high level of knowledge of individuals who are
students of the faculty of sports sciences due to the “Nutrition and Sports” lesson they took during their
undergraduate education period causes their level of belief in nutritional supplements to be higher. This
study shows similar results with other studies in the literature.

hemşireler) üzerinde yoğunlaştığı görülmektedir. Tezlerin büyük kısmında SPSS analiz aracı kullanılmış;

Abstract – we introduce a novel metric known as a Berger-type Cheeger-Gromoll metric on the tangent
bundle T M over an anti-paraKähler manifold (M, φ, g). This metric is defined as a natural metric with
respect to the base metric g on TM. We begin by exploring the properties of the Levi-Civita connection
associated with this metric. Subsequently, we compute all the components of the Riemannian curvature
tensor and provide an explicit expression for the sectional curvature and the scalar curvature. In the final
part of our analysis, we delve into the geometry of the φ-unit tangent bundle, which is endowed with the
Berger-type Cheeger-Gromoll metric. Within this context, we provide the Levi-Civita connection and
detail all forms of the Riemannian curvature tensors associated with this metric.

Abstract - Cinchonine is a natural quinoline-type alkaloid extracted from the bark of the Cinchona tree,
historically known for its pharmacological properties, particularly its antimalarial, antiviral, and
antitumor effects. However, the use of cinchonine in aqueous media is limited due to its poor water
solubility, which hinders its application in various fields. To overcome this limitation, its salt form,
cinchonine hydrochloride, is used. Although this salt exhibits some chemical instability and is
hygroscopic (deliquescent), it offers significantly improved solubility, thus allowing for more effective
release of the active molecule in acidic environments.
In this context, the present work aims to study the potential of cinchonine hydrochloride as a green
corrosion inhibitor for mild steel in 1 M hydrochloric acid (HCl) solution. Electrochemical tests were
carried out, including potentiodynamic polarization and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy
(EIS), to characterize the interaction between the inhibitor and the metal surface. These techniques allowed
for the evaluation of kinetic parameters of oxidation and reduction reactions, as well as the corrosion
resistance with and without the inhibitor.
Experimental results show that cinchonine hydrochloride acts as a mixed-type inhibitor, reducing both
anodic and cathodic reactions. Moreover, the inhibition efficiency increases with the compound’s
concentration, achieving high protection rates even at relatively low doses. The presence of heteroatoms
(N, O) and an aromatic ring in the molecule promotes its adsorption on the steel surface via a
physicochemical adsorption mechanism.
These observations suggest that cinchonine, through its hydrochloride form, represents a promising and
environmentally friendly alternative to conventional corrosion inhibitors, which are often toxic or poorly
biodegradable.

Abstract – The purpose of this work is to investigate the solutions of some stochastic integrodi_erential
equations in Hilbert spaces. In order to achieve this goal, an appropriate integral operator is used to
convert the suggested stochastic integrodiferential system into an analogous _fixed-point issue. We prove
several existence results using stochastic analysis, which are based on the fixed point theorem.

Abstract – This work focus on the study of the existence results for a partial differential equation
problems of parabolic type with fractional derivative using Faedo-Galerkin approximation and some
functional analysis tools. The purpose of this study is to show the use of fractional differential equations
to restore a digital image, which is the approaches of the investigation of a reaction-diffusion model in
fractional order ; in which we apply the fractional derivative in the sense of Caputo on the model
proposed by Alaa in 2014 given in the problem. which is based on the existence proof of the weak
solution and the application result on the restoration of a digital image such that a digital result is given on
a noisy image, where this model is found to be effective to eliminating noise.

Abstract – In this study, we proof the existence result of global weak solution for a new generic reaction
diffusion system. It is a fact a generalisation of the work presented in 2014, 2016 and 2018. Firstly, we
truncate de system and by using Schauderbfixed point theorem in banach space, we show show the
existence of a solution for this approached problem. Finally, by making some estimations; we prove that
the solution of the truncated equation converges to the solution of our problem.

Abstract – The triazole structure is a crucial and widely endorsed heterocycle, frequently pioneer in
numerous natural compounds and therapeutic agents. The powerful effects of triazoles and their
derivatives have positioned them as expressive pharmacological frameworks. The primary heterocyclic
rings found in different medicinal compounds are 1,2,4-triazoles. Chalcones are defined chemically as
derivatives of 1,3-diphenylprop-2-en-1-one. They are identified by the presence of two aryl rings linked
by an α-β unsaturated carbonyl group. This α-β unsaturated carbonyl group exhibits biological activity
and is utilized for therapeutic purposes. In the present study, we aim to synthesize various triazole
derivatives based on chalcones by combining the aldol condensation reaction with click chemistry.
Chalcone will be prepared by employing Aldol condensation reaction which will undergo copper
catalyzed alkyne-azide click (CuAAC) reaction to produce triazole containing chalcones. All newly
synthesized compounds will be separated by using chromatographic techniques i.e column
chromatography, thin layer chromatography, preparative thin layer chromatography and characterized by
using spectroscopic methods, UV-Vis spectroscopy, FT-IR, 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, HMBC, HMQC, and
HR-MS. The synthesized compounds will also undergo assessment for their biological activities,
including anti-oxidant, anti-cancer, and anti-microbial effects, as well as their theoretical opto-electronic
potential.

Abstract – In this study, the effects of hot and cold Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) applications on exhaust
emissions in diesel engines were experimentally investigated. Tests were conducted by applying both hot and cold
EGR at 10% and 20% rates, and the resulting emission values were compared with standard operating conditions.
The results revealed that both types of EGR significantly reduced NOx emissions. However, as the EGR rate
increased, notable increases were observed in HC, CO, and smoke emissions. These increases are attributed to the
reduction in oxygen concentration and combustion temperature in the combustion chamber caused by EGR, which
negatively affects combustion efficiency. In particular, the further decrease in combustion temperature with cold
EGR applications exacerbated these negative effects. In conclusion, although EGR applications are effective in
controlling NOx emissions, they must be carefully optimized due to their adverse impact on other harmful emissions.
The findings suggest that to balance engine emissions effectively, EGR rate, application type (hot/cold), and engine
operating parameters must be evaluated together.

Abstract – The effect of Cr doping on optical, structural and electrical properties of deposited Ni1-xCrxO
thin films on glass substrate by spray pyrolysis technique has been studied. The main objective of this
research is to study the change of the physical and optical properties of Ni1-xCrxO thin films that are
fabricant to semiconductor with different doping levels x . These levels are 0 at.%, 1 at.%, 3 at.%, 5 at.%
and 9 at.%. The transmission spectra show that the Ni1-xCrxO thin films have a good optical transparency
in the visible region from 75 to 85%. The optical gap energy of the Ni1-xCrxO thin films varied between
3.72 and 3.92 eV. The urbach energy varied between 250 and 310 meV. However, the Ni0.97Cr0.03O thin
films have many defects with maximum value of urbach energy. The Ni0.97Cr0.03O thin films have
minimum value of optical gap energy. The Ni0.97Cr0.03O thin films have maximum value of the electrical
conductivity which is 0.03 (Ω.cm)-1. The Ni0.95Cr0.05O thin films have maximum value of the transmission
which is 85%. The average electrical conductivity of our films is about (0.027 (Ω.cm)-1). XRD patterns of
the Ni1-xCrxO thin films indicate that films are polycrystalline with cubic structure.

Abstract –The stability analysis of the dams subjected to seismic loads is very complex. One of the most
important problems in evaluation of seismic behavior of concrete gravity dams is soil-structure interaction
phenomenon. In this paper, we study the effect of soil-structure interaction (SSI) on seismic response of
concrete gravity dams. For this purpose, two finite element models in two-dimensional (2D) using
ANSYS software are generated. The first model represents the dam alone, which is fixed at its bottom
base (model without SSI). The second model illustrates the dam-foundation rock coupled system (model
with SSI). Oued Fodda concrete gravity dam, located in the north-west of Algeria, is chosen in the present
study. Reservoir water is modeled using Westergaard approach. According to finite element analysis,
numerical results show that taking into account of soil-structure interaction phenomenon increase more
displacements and stresses in the dam body. Therefore, it is becomes imperative to carry out the soil-
structure interaction analysis for massive structures such as concrete dams in order to evaluate their
stability.

Abstract – Co-Ni nanostructured materials were elaborated on copper (Cu) substrate by electrodeposition
process from aqueous bath of chloride and sulfate salts containing boric acid (H3BO3) and thiourea (CH4N2S)
as additives. The influence of the current density and the [Ni2+] / [Co2+] molar ratio in the bath on the
chemical composition and the structural properties of the obtained Co-Ni nanomaterials were investigated.
The results of the chemical analysis using Energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX) and Inductively
Coupled Plasma Atomic Emission Spectroscopy (ICP-OES) demonstrate the formation of the Co-Ni
nanostructured materials according to an anomalous electrodepositing behavior. The scanning electron
microscope (SEM) micrographs show that the deposits are well adherent and exhibit a compact surface
with a cauliflower-like appearance and changes from rough to smooth surface with the rise of current
density. The results of the structural investigation, performed through the Rietveld refinement of XRD
patterns using MAUD software, show the coexistence of several structures: HCP (Co) phase, HCP and FCC
Co(Ni) solid solutions (SS) and HCP Co(S) SS. The rise of the current density and the [Ni2+] / [Co2+] molar
ratio in the bath cause a decrease of the crystallite size down to the nanometer scale. The lattice parameters
and the phase proportions of the different Co-Ni thins films are Co content and current density dependent.

Abstract – This study presents a detailed investigation into the fundamental optical arrangements and
functional components of light microscopes, instruments essential for magnifying objects invisible to the
naked eye. The work explores the intricate interplay between eyepieces and objectives in forming either
real or virtual magnified images, emphasizing how the intermediate image plane and eyepiece field
diaphragm govern observable specimen details. A core focus of the work is the demonstration of
parfocalization, a critical characteristic where the intermediate image remains in a consistent focal plane
despite changes in objective magnification. Through a series of experimental setups, the study visually
confirms this phenomenon for increasing objective powers (4X, 10X, and 40X). These setups
systematically utilize the four primary components of a compound microscope: a light source, condenser
lens, objective lens, and eyepiece. Furthermore, the research provides a rigorous validation of
experimental parameters against theoretical calculations, specifically for overall microscope
magnification and the final image size. This agreement underscores the accuracy of the optical principles
applied. The work also includes experimental images captured at varying objective magnifications to
visually support its findings. Finally, the study highlights the adherence to DIN standardization
(Deutsches Institut für Normung), acknowledging its significance in ensuring compatibility and quality
within the microscope industry. This comprehensive approach offers insights into both the theoretical
underpinnings and practical performance aspects of optical [Link] document presents the

Abstract – The integration of solid waste into polymer concrete represents an innovative and sustainable
solution for the recovery of industrial and household waste. This approach aims to reduce the environmental
footprint of concrete production while improving some of its mechanical and physical properties. Polymer
concrete, composed primarily of polymer resin as a binder instead of traditional cement, offers excellent
chemical and mechanical resistance, making it an ideal candidate for the incorporation of recycled
materials. The solid waste used can include recycled glass, crushed plastics, fly ash, metallurgical slag, or
construction waste. Optimizing this integration relies on several key factors: particle size, incorporation
rate, chemical compatibility with the polymer matrix, and curing conditions. Experimental methods such
as experimental design and response analysis help identify the best combinations to maximize concrete
performance. Our study is based on the incorporation of aluminum slag into polymer concrete. The results
show that the addition of aluminum slag improves concrete properties, such as compressive strength,
durability, and resistance to aggressive agents. Furthermore, this approach allows for the economic recovery
of this otherwise unused waste, thus contributing to a circular economy. Integrating solid waste such as
aluminum slag into polymer concrete therefore represents a promising avenue towards more
environmentally friendly and innovative construction.

Abstract – This work presents the synthesis, structural refinement, and multi-technique characterization of
novel orthophosphate materials in the solid solution series Ba₂₋ₓPbₓSr(PO₄)₂ (0 ≤ x ≤ 2). The compounds
were synthesized via conventional solid-state methods and characterized using Raman and infrared (IR)
spectroscopy, differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and
impedance spectroscopy for electrical property analysis.
Structural investigations were performed using the Rietveld refinement method, yielding excellent
agreement between experimental and calculated diffraction patterns. All synthesized phases crystallize in
a hexagonal structure, confirming the successful formation of the targeted solid solution.
Impedance spectroscopy revealed that the electrical conductivity of the series follows a thermally activated
Arrhenius-type behavior. A systematic increase in DC conductivity (log σ_dc) with rising temperature was
observed across the full compositional range.
Thermal stability was assessed by DSC, indicating that the materials remain structurally stable from 30°C
to 640°C. Furthermore, elemental analysis using energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS) confirmed
the phase purity and stoichiometric consistency of the synthesized compounds. The experimentally
determined EDS mass percentages closely matched those predicted from the refined structural models.
These results highlight the potential of Ba₂₋ₓPbₓSr(PO₄)₂ orthophosphates as thermally stable and
electrically active materials, making them promising candidates for future applications in solid-state
devices.

Abstract – This study aims to enhance the accuracy of sales forecasting, elevate the customer experience,
and streamline operational processes by analyzing user behavior patterns on e-commerce platforms. The
way users interact with the platform offers meaningful insights into their likelihood of making a purchase.
Accordingly, a model has been developed to forecast the daily number of orders placed by registered and
guest users based on their interaction data.
The study utilizes a dataset covering 317 days of user behavior. This dataset includes variables such as
daily registered and guest user counts, login sessions, registration types (Google, Facebook, email), total
user count, and the number of orders (distinguished by registered and guest users). Separating the order
data based on user type allowed for more detailed modeling and helped reveal behavioral differences
among user segments.
In the forecasting process, traditional time series models such as ARIMA and SARIMA were applied
alongside tree-based machine learning algorithms capable of modeling nonlinear relationships, including
XGBoost, LightGBM, and Random Forest. The results showed that time series models were limited in
capturing complex behavioral patterns, whereas machine learning algorithms achieved higher accuracy in
order forecasting.
The findings highlight that in dynamic and fast-evolving domains such as e-commerce, modern machine
learning techniques outperform traditional approaches. Furthermore, these results underscore the potential
of such models for integration into decision support systems within the e-commerce sector.

Abstract – This study explores the van der Waals heterojunctions formed by combining graphitic carbon
nitride (g-C₃N₄) with tantalates (BiTaO₄ and AlTaO₄) through first-principles calculations. The most stable
configurations of these heterojunctions were determined via geometry optimization, with structural analysis
highlighting key interfacial interactions. Electronic structure analysis, including density of states (DOS)
and partial density of states (PDOS), provided insights into electronic distribution and charge carrier
dynamics. Band structure analysis indicated appropriate band gaps for photocatalytic applications, while
optical properties, such as absorption spectra, demonstrated strong UV-visible light absorption. A
comparative analysis of the heterojunctions emphasized the influence of tantalate composition on
photocatalytic performance, particularly with regard to charge transfer pathways and charge separation
efficiency at the interfaces. This work offers valuable insights into the electronic and optical properties of
tantalate/g-C₃N₄ heterojunctions, contributing to the rational design of photocatalysts for environmental

Abstract – This study presents a numerical analysis of the mechanical performance of cracked composite
material plates repaired using composite patches. Two types of composites were considered: boron/epoxy

lengths of 5 mm, 15 mm, or 40 mm, simulating progressive damage levels. The repair is carried out by
applying composite patches glued with the structural adhesive FM73. Numerical simulations were
conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of the repair by analyzing the reduction of the Stress Intensity

Abstract – This study investigates public perceptions of physical education (PE) and PE teachers in Turkiye
through a narrative analysis of online forum posts from Ekşi Sözlük between 2001 and 2023. A total of
2,647 entries were analyzed using qualitative thematic analysis. The data reflect diverse experiences and
perceptions regarding PE classes, highlighting social, pedagogical, emotional, and institutional aspects of
PE culture in Turkey.
Three main themes emerged: (1) Perceptions of PE Lessons, including the perceived importance,
enjoyment, or aversion toward the subject; (2) Perceptions of PE Teachers, ranging from admiration to
criticism, shaped by teachers’ behaviors, pedagogical skills, and personal characteristics; and (3)
Perceptions of PE Implementation, addressing issues such as gender norms, class management, assessment,
and the lasting impact of practices like compulsory gymnastics.
The findings reveal a strong duality in how PE is experienced: for some, it is a source of identity, inclusion,
and life-changing inspiration; for others, it is marked by humiliation, physical harm, or social exclusion.
These narratives offer critical insights into how PE reflects and reproduces broader cultural norms in
Turkey.
This study underscores the need for more inclusive, student-centered PE pedagogy and invites reflection
on how collective memory and cultural narratives shape public attitudes toward physical education.

Abstract – Olive pomace is the solid residue obtained during the production of olive oil, mainly generated after
mechanical extraction or centrifugation processes. It is a plentiful by-product in Mediterranean countries where
olive oil is produced, such as Algeria, Spain, Italy, and Tunisia. Composed mainly of fragments of pulp, skins, and
crushed pits, olive pomace still contains a small fraction of residual oil, generally ranging between 2% and 8%,
depending on the extraction methods used.
From a chemical perspective, olive pomace has a particularly interesting composition. It is rich in fibers,
residual sugars, phenolic compounds (notably polyphenols), fatty acids, and natural antioxidants. These
bioactive compounds give olive pomace a significant potential for valorization in the agri-food, cosmetic,
pharmaceutical, and environmental sectors. However, its high content of phenolic compounds can also pose
environmental concerns when discharged untreated, due to their phytotoxic and antimicrobial effects.
Olive pomace can be valorized in various ways. In the energy sector, it is used as biomass for heat or
electricity production, either in the form of solid fuels (briquettes, pellets) or for biogas generation through
anaerobic digestion. In agriculture, it can be used as organic amendment, provided it is properly treated, or
incorporated into animal feed after phenol removal. Industrially, olive pomace is increasingly studied for
the extraction of high-value molecules such as polyphenols and unsaturated fatty acids. These extracts can
be incorporated into cosmetic formulations (creams, soaps) or functional food products (enriched biscuits,
energy bars).
Despite its great potential, the exploitation of olive pomace remains limited due to several technical and
economic challenges. The high moisture content of fresh pomace, its microbial instability, and complex
composition require appropriate treatment or stabilization processes (drying, grinding, extraction).
Moreover, the initial investment required to set up a valorization chain can be a barrier for small producers
or cooperatives.
Thus, olive pomace should no longer be seen as a mere waste product, but rather as a valuable resource to
be utilized within a circular economy and sustainable development framework. Current research efforts aim
to optimize extraction methods for bioactive compounds, develop innovative applications, and fully
integrate this by-product into local economic value chains.

Spectroscopy and photoluminescence spectroscopy (PL). According to XPS analysis, the appearance of
Zn, O, and Eu elements in the films also means that Eu was indeed successfully incorporated into the ZnO
matrix, The SEM images shows that the films were all continous and composed of small randomly dispersed
nanoparticales. The diameters of the nanoparticles seemed to decrease as the amount of Eu increased. When
excited at 325nm using xenon lamp, the film exhibited an intense UV emission at ~ 379 nm, a wide green
emission band centered around 500-550 nm with a fine peak at 614 nm. These emissions correspond to the
5
D₀ → 7F₂ transitions, which are characteristic of the intra-4f transitions of Eu³⁺ ions. When the Eu3+ ions
were selectively excited at 380nm, only the characteristic emission of the 4f – 4f transitions of Eu3+were
observed at 572, 588, 613, 629, 661 and 694 nm. Among all the peaks, the most dominant red emissions at
613 and 629 nm are pertaining to the 5D0--7F2 transitions of Eu+3. Therefore, at 380 nm energy transfer from
radiative sites in ZnO to Eu3+ is efficient, although not all Eu3+ ions will necessarily produce emission.

Gönüllülerin afet anlarında yaptığı ilk müdahaleler, can kayıplarını önlemede hayati önem taşımaktadır.

Abstract – The investigation of adsorption parameters is essential for understanding and optimizing the
removal of organic pollutants from aqueous solutions. Reactional parameters such as contact time,
adsorbent dosage, initial solute concentration, pH, temperature, and agitation speed play a critical role in
influencing the kinetics, equilibrium, and overall efficiency of the adsorption process. This study examines
the batch adsorption of Rhodamine B (RhB), a widely used organic dye, onto agricultural waste, with
particular focus on the effect of solution pH and other operational factors. Among these, the initial pH was
identified as a key parameter influencing both the surface charge of the adsorbent and the speciation of
RhB. Adsorption was weakest at pH < 5 due to electrostatic repulsion, and strongest between pH 5 and 7,
where electrostatic attraction occurs. At pH values above 7, adsorption efficiency declined due to the
aggregation of RhB into dimers and increased electrostatic repulsion from the negatively charged adsorbent
surface. These findings highlight the strong pH dependence of RhB adsorption and emphasize the
importance of optimizing reactional conditions for effective pollutant removal using agricultural waste-
based adsorbents.

Abstract - This study focuses on optimizing water injection in Hassi Messaoud Area 04, a critical factor
for successful oilfield management. We analyzed extensive historical data, including production and
injection pressures from 1959 to the present, to assess project effectiveness.
We employed three-level tracking techniques (whole area, injector cells, and individual wells) to evaluate
water injection efficiency. Initial reserves were reassessed using MBAL software. The Voidage
Replacement Ratio (VRR) was utilized to quantify the balance between injected water and produced oil,
demonstrating a significant pressure increase from 150 to 190 kg/cm² and an enhanced recovery rate from
9% to 23%.
Furthermore, we defined optimized injection patterns and conducted diagnostics to resolve water
production issues. The current recovery rate has impressively reached 36.6%, highlighting the substantial
success of water injection. Based on these findings, various recommendations are proposed to further
enhance the efficiency of water injection in Hassi Messaoud Area 04.

Abstract - This research work focuses on the preparation and characterization of two types of modified
clays: one saturated with sodium, the other activated by acid treatment. These clays were intercalated with
iron by insertion of cations derived from the hydrolysis of iron chloride (FeCl₃) in the presence of sodium
hydroxide (NaOH). The resulting materials, known as “iron-bridged clays”, were then used as carriers for
vanadium oxide impregnation.
Textural analysis revealed that iron intercalation significantly improved the specific surface area of the
clays. However, after metal oxide impregnation, a decrease in surface area was observed, presumably due
to pore blocking by metal species. The results of in situ Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy,
using pyridine as a molecular probe, highlighted the presence of Lewis and Bronsted acid sites.
The catalytic performance of the materials was evaluated in the epoxidation reaction of cyclohexene in
the liquid phase, in the presence of tertiary butyl hydroperoxide as oxidant. The results show that the
introduction of vanadium oxide improves catalytic activity and promotes increased selectivity towards the
epoxide.
If we compare the catalytic activity of the 6%V/Fe-Mont sodium and 6%V/Fe-Mont (acid) catalysts, we
find better conversion (87%) and selectivity to epoxide (100%) respectively.

Abstract – Diabetes mellitus is a persistent metabolic disease that disrupts glucose regulation and poses
serious health risks across species, including laboratory animals such as rats, which are commonly used in
biomedical researches. Early and precise identification of diabetes in rats is essential for preclinical research
and the development of effective treatments and this can also give a chance for analyzing the diabetes
situation among humans via these optimized Deep Learning (DL) models. This study investigates the use
of two optimized versions deep learning techniques to improve and automate the detection of diabetes in
rats, utilizing multimodal data sources, specifically selected blood test parameters from 50 normal and 50
diabetic rats. Totally, two different optimized versions of Convolutional neural network (CNN) based
models (CNN_O1 and CNN_O2) were employed to process image-based data, which were generated by
converting blood test arrays into a limited set of images using a publicly available dataset. Model
performance was assessed using metrics such as accuracy and the area under the ROC curve. Among these,
with changing the parameters in detail, two well-developed CNN based DL models were obtained and
analyzed and with using the first optmized DL model, we achieved the highest classification accuracy at
99%, substantially outperforming conventional machine learning methods. Indeed, with using the second
DL optimized model, we achieved the highest classification accuracy at 97%, approximately. These results
demonstrate the potential of deep learning optimization for more fast, non-invasive, and accurate detection
of diabetes in rat models, offering a valuable tool for advancing research in diabetic pathophysiology and
drug screening.

Abstract– Tobacco is one of the economically significant cash crop of Pakistan, contributing substantially
to rural livelihoods, government revenues, and employment across the value chain—from cultivation to
processing. However, its productivity and quality are often compromised by various insect-pests, which
pose a continuous threat to both yield and profitability. Effective pest management, guided by Economic
Threshold Levels (ETLs), is essential to minimize economic losses and reduce the overuse of chemical
pesticides. This study establishes ETLs for key insect pests of tobacco in Pakistan through field-based
monitoring and assessment. The results indicate that control measures should be initiated when: (i) 5 out
of 50 plants show fresh damage from cutworms (Agrotis spp.), (ii) 50 or more aphids (Myzus persicae)
are found on one upper leaf of tobacco at least 5 out of 50 plants, (iii) 5 plants have one or more budworm
(Heliothis spp.) larvae up to one week before topping, and (iv) 10 grasshoppers are observed per 50
nursery plants. These ETLs provide a scientific basis for integrated pest management (IPM), enabling
growers to make timely and cost-effective decisions. The study not only contributes to sustainable
tobacco production but also supports the economic stability of farming communities dependent on this
vital crop.

Abstract – In recent years, serverless applications have attracted significant attention from the research
community. Cloud-based serverless technologies are increasingly being integrated into the critical
infrastructure of leading organizations such as Google, Microsoft, and AWS. Despite the growing adoption
of serverless systems, there remains an urgent need for effective strategies to optimize their architectures.
Moreover, because serverless environments were originally designed to support lightweight microservices,
executing resource-intensive tasks such as machine learning models poses notable challenges, particularly
with respect to execution efficiency and response times. As a result, there is a critical need for the
development of optimization techniques to enable the effective deployment of machine learning algorithms
within serverless frameworks.
Addressing this need, the present study explores optimization strategies aimed at enhancing the
performance of machine learning model execution in serverless environments, with a specific focus on
AWS Lambda. Experimental results show that the application of these techniques can reduce initial
response times by up to 73% compared to conventional, non-optimized individual processing. Our objective
in this work is to both maximize the performance and minimize the operational costs associated with
deploying machine learning models in serverless architectures. We anticipate that the insights gained from
this study will provide valuable guidance for future researchers advancing the field of serverless computing.

Abstract – Pedestrian fatalities constitute over 22% of global road traffic deaths, with urban areas bearing
the highest burden due to increased pedestrian-vehicle interaction. This review critically evaluates recent
developments in vehicle front-end structural design aimed at enhancing pedestrian safety through a
systems-based, human-centered engineering approach. Emphasis is placed on both passive and active safety
strategies that reduce injury severity in pedestrian impacts. Passive measures include sloped hood
geometries, increased under-hood clearance, energy-absorbing materials, and deformable bumper
systems—each contributing to the mitigation of head, chest, and lower limb injuries. Concurrently, active
systems such as pedestrian airbags, autonomous emergency braking (AEB), and vision-based pedestrian
detection technologies have demonstrated significant potential in pre-collision risk mitigation. The review
further analyzes evolving regulatory and assessment frameworks, including Euro NCAP pedestrian
protection protocols, UNECE Regulation No. 127, ASEAN NCAP directives, and the U.S. National
Highway Traffic Safety Administration's proposed FMVSS No. 228 for pedestrian head protection. Recent
integration of advanced biofidelic test devices, such as the Flexible Pedestrian Legform Impactor (FlexPLI),
has enabled more representative biomechanical evaluations across varied anthropometric profiles,
including vulnerable populations such as children and the elderly. This paper synthesizes multidisciplinary
findings to underscore the importance of harmonizing global regulatory practices and advancing data-
driven design methodologies. The integration of pedestrian safety into vehicle design represents a critical
step towards reducing pedestrian injuries and fatalities while supporting sustainable urban mobility.

Abstract – Validation Techniques is one of the most crucial topics in machine learning to measure the
model performances trustfully using appropriate splitting strategies, especially in domains dealing
problems with class-imbalanced datasets. For this purpose, we aim to examine the impact of eight
different validation techniques to determine the most reliable one for an insurance company, in the case of
whether an insured client will sue the company (minority class 1) or not (majority class 0).
A traffic insurance dataset with 817,738 records and 155 features was constructed using 3 detailed
resource files: insurance company, insurance report, external (previous legal files of the same type and
complaints). The dataset after the data preprocessing was transformed into a proper format with 817,738
records and 204 features.
The evaluated validation techniques include Hold-Out, K-Fold, Stratified K-Fold, Group K-Fold,
Stratified Group K-Fold, Repeated K-Fold, Repeated Stratified K-Fold, and Time Series Split. The
techniques employed five splits with an 80/20 train-test ratio for consistency.
To assess the effect of techniques, five classification algorithms including CatBoost XGBoost,
LightGBM, Logistic Regression and Random Forest were applied to the train data set. Performances are
evaluated using Accuracy, Recall, Precision, F1-Score and Gini Coefficient, using the test dataset.
To highlight effectiveness of the techniques, Repeated Stratified K-Fold validation showed the most
balanced and reliable performance, considering the whole metrics.
For the minority class (1, legal), Repeated Stratified K-Fold has the highest recall (83%) and precision
(49%), and the highest F1-Score 50(%) found from the Stratified K-Fold.

Abstract – The current challenges in fruit storage and packaging, particularly for perishable products like
dates and strawberries, require sustainable and health conscious solutions that align with circular
economy principles. Inefficient preservation systems often lead to microbial spoilage and pest infestation,
compromising quality and reducing shelf life. Additionally, conventional packaging materials may
contain harmful chemical additives, reinforcing the need for safer and more environmentally friendly
alternatives. This study addresses these issues by developing sustainable biopackaging from agricultural
and horticultural waste to enhance the postharvest preservation of dates and strawberries.
Date palm residues and other plant based agricultural waste rich in lignocellulosic fibers were selected for
their biodegradability and structural integrity. These materials were transformed into durable and eco-
friendly packaging, reducing environmental impact by repurposing underutilized organic waste. To
enhance functionality, bioactive extracts from aromatic plants were incorporated into the packaging
matrix for their antimicrobial and insect repellent properties, providing a natural defense against spoilage
and extending the shelf life of the packaged fruits.
The packaging formulation includes naturally derived compounds such as flavonoids, terpenes, essential
oils, and polyphenols, which are gradually released to form an active protective barrier. This controlled
release helps preserve the freshness and nutritional quality of dates and strawberries while reducing
reliance on synthetic chemicals and single use plastics.
This work contributes to the transition toward a circular economy by valorizing agricultural and
horticultural waste into high value applications that meet modern sustainability and food safety standards.
By reducing food loss and promoting waste recovery, the developed biopackaging supports more resilient
and environmentally responsible food systems.

Abstract – In Algeria, postharvest losses of perishable fruits and vegetables such as peppers (Capsicum
annuum) and lemons (Citrus limon) are a major constraint to food quality, economic value, and food
security. These losses are primarily due to microbial spoilage, dehydration, and inadequate preservation
practices in the supply chain, especially among smallholder producers. This study investigates the
potential of rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis) and fennel (Foeniculum vulgare) essential oils (EOs) as
natural, sustainable alternatives to synthetic postharvest treatments.
A field survey conducted in the Biskra region, one of Algeria’s major horticultural zones, identified
common challenges such as improper harvesting techniques, lack of cold storage, and the use of
conventional packaging that promotes cross-contamination. These findings guided the selection of
rosemary and fennel EOs for experimental trials, based on their availability, traditional use, and
promising bioactivity.
In controlled storage experiments, peppers and lemons were treated with varying concentrations of
rosemary and fennel EOs. Fennel EO demonstrated moderate efficacy in reducing physiological
deterioration in peppers, particularly by limiting weight loss and delaying surface wrinkling. These effects
are attributed to the EO’s antioxidant compounds, such as anethole and fenchone, which contribute to
membrane stability and reduced water vapor exchange. Rosemary EO, rich in 1,8-cineole and rosmarinic
acid, showed partial antimicrobial activity against surface contaminants but had limited effects on
maintaining fruit texture or visual appeal. In lemons, however, both EOs yielded inconsistent results;
higher concentrations of rosemary EO occasionally led to skin damage and internal browning, suggesting
possible phytotoxicity.
The outcomes confirm that rosemary and fennel essential oils can contribute to more sustainable
postharvest systems, but their application must be carefully optimized. Effectiveness varied significantly
depending on the fruit type, cultivar characteristics, EO dosage, and exposure time. The research
emphasizes the importance of tailoring EO-based treatments to specific physiological properties and
storage conditions, avoiding a one-size-fits-all approach.
By exploring plant-derived alternatives to synthetic preservatives, this work supports the development of
low-cost, environmentally friendly technologies adapted to local agricultural realities. It provides a
foundation for integrating essential oils into broader strategies for reducing food losses, improving fruit
quality, and supporting Algeria’s transition toward more sustainable and resilient food systems.

eco-friendly alternatives to synthetic preservatives, this study evaluates the efficacy of thyme (Thymus
vulgaris) and wormwood (Artemisia herba-alba) essential oils (EOs) in improving shelf life and reducing
decay in these fruits.
A field survey in the Biskra region revealed critical challenges during postharvest handling, including
exposure to high humidity, temperature fluctuations, and lack of sustainable preservation strategies.
Laboratory trials were conducted by applying different concentrations of thyme and wormwood EOs to
freshly harvested peppers and lemons stored at room temperature.
Thyme EO, rich in thymol and carvacrol, showed moderate success in peppers by reducing weight loss
and delaying wilting, likely due to its antimicrobial and semi-permeable properties. However, its impact
on lemons was less consistent, with some phytotoxic effects observed at higher concentrations.
Wormwood EO, despite its bioactive compounds, showed limited effectiveness across both fruit types. In
certain cases, its high volatility and chemical reactivity contributed to skin browning or accelerated
degradation.
These findings suggest that thyme EO could be a promising natural preservative for peppers when
properly dosed, while wormwood EO may require formulation adjustments or synergistic combinations
for improved efficacy. The study underscores the importance of fruit-specific, context-adapted
postharvest strategies using plant-based compounds to enhance sustainability and reduce reliance on
chemical inputs.

Abstract – Eye diseases must be found and treated early to prevent problems with vision and ensure the
right treatment is given. A model based on deep learning and the VGG-16 structure is suggested in this
study for the automatic detection of six common ophthalmic conditions: AMD, Cataract, Diabetic
Retinopathy, Glaucoma, Retinal Detachment and Normal. Kaggle datasets that were made freely available
were selected for this study and used in a split of 80% for training and 20% for testing. In order to match
the VGG-16 model and improve image quality, we resized the images to 227×227 pixels, used ImageNet
statistics for normalization and added Gaussian blur to filter out noise. The model achieved a total accuracy
of 95%, macro and weighted average precision, recall and F1-scores were all recorded as 0.96 and 0.95.
This confirms that the model can correctly detect a wide array of eye diseases in fundus images, suggesting
it will be useful for both early screening and automatic diagnosis in ophthalmology. Although the model
produced excellent results for all eye disease. This research shows that VGG-16 and other deep learning
techniques can greatly benefit medical image analysis and aid doctors in making decisions about patients
in ophthalmology.

Abstract – The tribological properties of sunflower oil were improved by using choline chloride-based IL
as sustainable bio-lubricant additive at various concentrations including 0.25 - 1 wt% IL. With a pin-on-
disc tribometer, the lubricants were tested under realistic conditions of a 20 N load, 500 rpm rotational
speed and ambient temperature, to measure their ability to reduce friction and protect the surface from wear.
The oil blended with 1 wt% choline chloride IL showed a significant decrease of 60.43% in friction
coefficient and 53.65% in wear scar volume, compared to the neat oil. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM)
and stylus profilometry showed that a strong, protective tribofilm was formed which reduced surface
roughness and lowered the amount of abrasive wear. The reason for the excellent tribological performance
is that ILs are stable, have ionic structures and easily attach to metal surfaces which supports both extra
load capacity and more even shear stress distribution at the contact point. The results suggest that choline
chloride ILs are suitable eco-friendly additives for bio-lubricants and can replace the common use of
mineral oils in industrial applications. Following the right experimental approach and detailed surface
analysis, the study presents a good starting point for further improvements and wide use of IL-modified
bio-lubricants in industries. This work adds valuable information to the field of ionic liquid-based additives
and encourages the use of more environmentally friendly lubrication solutions.

Abstract – This paper presents the simulation and comparative analysis of different coil geometries used in
wireless power transfer systems, focusing on square and spiral coil configurations. Using the Ansys
Maxwell 3D simulation environment, key electromagnetic parameters such as self-inductance, mutual
inductance, and coupling coefficients were calculated to evaluate the performance of each design. For the
square coil, the simulation results demonstrated a consistent self-inductance and a varying coupling
coefficient depending on the distance between the coils. As the separation distance increased, the mutual
inductance and coupling coefficient values decreased, confirming the distance-sensitive nature of inductive
coupling. The spiral coil, formed by side-by-side winding of copper tubing, showed the highest efficiency
in magnetic field distribution and inductive characteristics. Visual representations revealed that the
magnetic field intensity was most concentrated near the inner diameter of the spiral coil due to the denser
turn count and reduced inter-turn spacing. These findings suggest that geometric parameters significantly
influence coil efficiency and coupling behavior in inductive wireless power systems. The study offers
practical insights into coil design optimization for improved power transfer efficiency and system reliability
in real-world applications.

This
study examines two coil geometries' inductive and magnetic coupling characteristics—helical and
tubular—across different separation lengths. Inductance and coupling coefficient values were derived via
simulations using self- and mutual-inductance matrices. The helical coil demonstrated a coupling
coefficient of around 0.086 and an inductance of 83.4 µH at a spacing of 135 mm. The self-inductance
values of the tubular coil exhibited slight fluctuation with distance, affirming that self-inductance is
primarily independent of coil separation. Conversely, mutual inductance and coupling coefficients
markedly decreased as the inter-coil distance rose, with the tubular coil's coupling coefficient declining
from 0.276 at 50 mm to 0.038 at 200 mm. These findings validate the susceptibility of magnetic coupling
to coil configuration and separation, offering valuable insights for wireless power transmission and
magnetic sensing applications.

Abstract – The relationship between financial inclusion and economic growth in emerging markets has
garnered significant attention in development economics, particularly for the BRICS. This study provides
a comprehensive comparative analysis of how various dimensions of financial inclusion have influenced
economic development across these five major economies over the critical decade of 2011-2021, as
captured by the World Bank's Global Findex Database. Leveraging all four available survey waves (2011,
2014, 2017, and 2021) complemented by annual macroeconomic indicators from the World Development
Indicators, the research employs a fixed-effects panel regression framework to isolate the growth effects
of financial inclusion while controlling for investment levels, human capital development, and
institutional quality factors. The analysis reveals several noteworthy patterns that transcend national
boundaries while highlighting important country-specific variations. Across all BRICS nations, the
expansion of digital payment systems emerges as particularly significant for economic growth, especially
in countries that have made substantial investments in digital infrastructure. The study finds that the
growth benefits of digital financial services tend to accelerate over time, suggesting the presence of
network effects and learning curves. Basic account ownership, while showing more modest immediate
impacts, demonstrates remarkably stable long-term growth effects across all five economies, underscoring
the foundational importance of broad-based access to formal financial services. Credit access exhibits
more cyclical patterns, with its growth contributions varying significantly according to macroeconomic
conditions - a finding that highlights the need for counter-cyclical financial inclusion policies. These
findings carry important policy implications for BRICS nations as they design their financial inclusion
strategies. The research suggests that while all dimensions of financial inclusion contribute to economic
growth, their relative importance varies according to national context and development stage. Countries
with more advanced digital infrastructure appear to benefit disproportionately from digital payment
expansion, while others might prioritize basic account access as a first step. The cyclical nature of credit
access impacts suggests that financial inclusion policies need built-in flexibility to weather economic
downturns. Perhaps most importantly, the study demonstrates that financial inclusion tools work best
when implemented as part of a broader development strategy that includes complementary investments in
digital infrastructure, human capital, and institutional development.

Abstract – This study presents the development and application of a nanocomposite counter electrode
composed of platinum nanoparticles (PtNP), polyaniline (PANI), and graphitic carbon nitride (g-CN) for
dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs). The primary aim is to improve efficiency, stability, and cost-
effectiveness by offering a viable alternative to conventional platinum (Pt) electrodes. DSSCs fabricated
with PtNP/PANI/g-CN electrodes demonstrated impressive initial performance, achieving an open-circuit
voltage (VOC) of 720 mV, a short-circuit current density (JSC) of 22 mA/cm², and a power conversion
efficiency (PCE) of 10.05%. These values exceeded those of standard Pt-based cells (VOC: 720 mV, JSC:
19 mA/cm², PCE: 9.14%). A key advantage of the PtNP/PANI/g-CN electrodes lies in their long-term
durability. Over a 12-month testing period, including weekly and monthly measurements, these DSSCs
retained 80% of their initial efficiency, with VOC, JSC, and PCE values stabilizing at 708 mV, 17 mA/cm²,
and 7.98%, respectively. In contrast, Pt-based DSSCs declined significantly, dropping to 583 mV, 12
mA/cm², and a PCE of just 4.32%. Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) confirmed the improved
charge transfer characteristics of the composite electrodes, as evidenced by reduced series resistance and
smaller semicircle diameters in Nyquist plots. These findings demonstrate that PtNP/PANI/g-CN
nanocomposites offer not only superior initial performance but also exceptional long-term stability,
positioning them as a promising, low-cost alternative for future DSSC technologies.

Abstract – Throughout his life, mankind has been intertwined with and struggling with nature; he has
observed nature, been inspired by it, tried to understand the behavioural patterns of nature and other living
creatures living in nature and tried to adapt them to his life. While the designs made by mankind by trying
to understand the perfect order and balance of nature and emulating it were initially aimed at formal
imitation, in the process it has turned into understanding the working principle behind the form and using
it by adapting it to their own living spaces. In parallel with population growth and urbanisation, the
construction sector plays an active role in the consumption of natural resources and the destruction of
nature. The built environment and urban lifestyle have distanced societies from nature, especially the recent
COVID-19 pandemic has shown that human beings, who are an integral part of nature with all living things,
need nature physically and psychologically. This process has brought the Biophilic design approach, which
protects nature, uses natural and environmentally friendly building materials, incorporates the beauties of
the natural environment into the design and adopts the healing power of nature, to the agenda. Biophilic
design is used in urban scale as well as in single building scale and interior design in the discipline of
architecture. This study aims to discuss examples of buildings using the Biophilic design approach, which
focuses on nature within the scope of sustainable architectural design and shows that being intertwined with
natural areas is effective on human health, happiness and productivity. Within the scope of the study, the
conceptual framework for biophilic design was determined, extensive literature research was conducted,
biophilic design principles were discussed through examples of buildings produced with this approach and
recommendations were presented.

Abstract – Water pollution from industrial effluent is a major issue in many nations. The goal of our work
is to conduct a comparative experimental study of isotherms and adsorption kinetics of methylene blue
(MB) on three substrates: sugarcane bagasse (SCB), almond shell (AS), and walnut shell (WS). This type
of pollution can have a negative impact on the environment, so various physico-chemical methods are
used to lessen its effects. One such method is adsorption on bioadsorbents. Walnut shell (WS) binds to
methylene blue more effectively than other substrates, according to equilibrium kinetics studies. The
findings further demonstrate that the expression of the pseudo-second order model describes the
adsorption kinetics. Langmuir's model accurately describes the isotherms of methylene blue (MB)
adsorption by sugarcane bagasse (SCB), walnut shell (WS), and almond shell. It also shows that walnut
shell is a superior adsorbent of methylene blue compared to other substrates.

Abstract – Iraq’s major rivers Tigris, Euphrates, Diyala, and Shatt Al-Arab are experiencing significant
water quality degradation due to industrial discharge, agricultural runoff, and urban wastewater. This study
assesses the water quality of these rivers using the Water Quality Index (WQI) and laboratory analyses of
physical, chemical, and biological parameters. Water samples were collected from upstream, midstream,
and downstream locations to evaluate spatial variations in pollution levels.
Findings reveal that while most river sections are classified as “fair,” water quality deteriorates to “poor”
in the Shatt Al-Arab due to high levels of total dissolved solids (TDS) and heavy metals. Urban and
industrial zones exhibit higher contamination, with heavy metals surpassing permissible limits, posing risks
to public health and aquatic ecosystems. Nutrient-rich agricultural runoff has also contributed to
eutrophication and reduced dissolved oxygen levels. Additionally, inefficient wastewater treatment systems
and weak environmental regulations exacerbate pollution.
The study underscores the urgent need for integrated water resource management strategies, including
stricter pollution controls, improved wastewater treatment infrastructure, and sustainable agricultural
practices. Drawing from international case studies, it recommends policy interventions and technological
advancements to enhance water quality. This comprehensive assessment of technogenic pollution’s impact
on Iraqi rivers provides valuable insights for decision-makers, aiming to promote sustainable water
management and long-term environmental conservation.

Abstract – The stability of slopes is essential to ensure the safety of workers and the continuity of
operations in open-pit quarries. The objective of this study is to analyze the stability of a slope in the Bir
Madhi Est quarry. The stability analysis was carried out using numerical modeling based on the finite
element method with PLAXIS 8.2.
The results obtained from the stability evaluation of the Bir Madhi Est quarry in its actual state showed
stability at the level of the bench faces, with a low risk of sliding at the top of the slope. Therefore, the
internal friction angle and soil cohesion have a significant impact on the safety factor and surface
displacements. Indeed, the higher the internal friction angle, the lower the surface displacements.
Furthermore, an increase in cohesion enhances the mechanical properties of the soil, reducing
displacements, although failure can occur for low cohesion values.

Abstract - Hydrophytes (aquatic plants) can be divided into several groups according to their locations in
aquatic environments; some are amphibious (presenting a fairly large part of their vegetative apparatus out
of the water, others are fixed aquatic (fixed with floating leaves or fixed totally submerged), others finally
are free aquatic (submerged or floating). The present work was carried out with the aim of studying the
anatomical and morphological adaptations in 4 different plants: Typha latifolia, Juncus maritumus, Elodea
canadensis et Nymphaea lotus.
The anatomical study is carried out by observing the structure of cross-sections of several organs of the
plants studied. The observation shows different adaptations such as the development of aeriferous
parenchyma: aerenchyma, a reduction of the support tissues and the epidermis without cuticle facilitating
hydromineral exchanges. The morphological adaptations are more or less modified in their form and
structure by the adaptation to this lifestyle: the distinction of the classic organs (roots, leaves, stems).

Abstract – the numerical study of the mixed convective flow of Newtonian fluids in a porous medium
subjected to a chemical reaction. A finite difference-based numerical approach was employed to solve the
governing equations, which account for the coupled phenomena of fluid flow, heat and mass transfer, and
chemical reaction. The influence of various parameters, including the Darcy number, the reaction rate, and
the thermal Grashof number, on the flow and transport phenomena was explored
Our results highlight the importance of the interaction between convection, diffusion, and chemical
reaction in determining concentration and temperature profiles. We have notably identified new flow
regimes and highlighted the impact of the heterogeneity of the porous medium on the transfers. These

Abstract – The huge augmentation of food demand that accompanied along with the continuous human
population growing and the emerging of mortal epidemic (Covid-19) recently. Make the reaching to global
food demands sufficiency is an impossible matter. However, the usage of agrochemical products
excessively such as; pesticides and chemical fertilizers in agricultural land as well as to increase crop yields.
The overuse of chemical fertilizer has resulted in adverse effect on soil properties over a long period.
Invertebrates such as earthworms are used as a bio-indicator species, for monitoring the impact of soil
pollutants; they are the most important actors in soil formation, maintaining its structure and fertility. The
present study was undertaken to assess the potential hazards of nitrogenous inorganic fertilizer, in order to
determine; the oxidative stress non enzymatic biomarker GSH of earthworm in both period of exposure.
The sub-acute toxicity test (28 days) was conducted according to OECD guideline 222. Four increasing
concentrations of chemical fertilizer were tested. An induced depletion of total protein content instigates
the activation of the detoxification system through a decrease in GSH levels, accompanied by an increase
in other enzymatic activities of the earthworm under different concentrations and time exposure
dependence. These findings demonstrated that the oxidative stress biomarkers data could be used to
evaluate the environmental risk assessment of agrochemicals. As a result, they contribute as useful
biomarkers for diagnosing and providing early warning of soil pollution.

Abstract – Environmental concerns and the need to reduce the carbon footprint of construction materials
have led to the use of plant fibers in cement matrices, due to their renewable and biodegradable properties.
These fibers, such as hemp, flax, and jute, offer thermal insulation benefits due to their cellular structure.
However, their integration into cement presents technical challenges, mainly because of their hydrophilic
nature, which can limit adhesion with the cement matrix and affect the overall properties of the composite.
The results of my studies show that chemical treatments of plant fibers, such as alkaline or acidic treatments,
improve this adhesion, thus reducing the porosity of the material. This leads to increased density, enhancing
both mechanical and thermal performance. Moreover, these treatments reduce the thermal conductivity of
the composite by optimizing the integration of the fibers into the matrix, thereby reducing thermal bridging.
In summary, chemical treatment of plant fibers strengthens their role as thermal insulators and improves
the durability of cement composites, making them a promising alternative for applications in sustainable
construction.

Abstract – This study explores the valorization of waste plastics as a sustainable approach to
environmental preservation. Specifically, polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) waste, a material with
limited reported applications, was investigated for its potential as an adsorbent in wastewater treatment to
remove hazardous textile dyes, including methylene blue (MB) and Basic Yellow 28 (BY28).
To enhance its adsorption properties, the PMMA waste underwent two modification processes:
cryogrinding and sulfonation with sulfuric acid. The treated material was then characterized using FTIR,
Raman spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), elemental analysis (C, H, N, O, and S), and
specific surface area determination via the BET method.
Batch adsorption experiments were performed under varying conditions, including pH, initial dye
concentration, adsorbent dosage, and temperature. The results demonstrated significant adsorption
capacities of 97.09 mg/g for MB and 222.22 mg/g for BY28, with equilibrium adsorption times of 45 and
30 minutes, respectively.
Adsorption isotherm analysis indicated that the Langmuir model provided the best fit for all tested dyes.
Kinetic studies confirmed that the adsorption process followed a pseudo-second-order model, while
thermodynamic assessments showed negative Gibbs free energy (ΔG°) values, confirming the
spontaneous nature of dye adsorption onto sulfonated PMMA waste.

Abstract – Thymus algeriensis, a medicinal plant widely used in traditional medicine, is known for its
significant biological properties, particularly its antimicrobial activity. The extract of this plant has shown
effectiveness against several bacterial and fungal strains, such as Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia
coli, Candida albicans, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa. These activities are mainly attributed to its
bioactive compounds.
Gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) analysis of Thymus algeriensis essential oil revealed
the presence of several major compounds, including carvacrol, α-pinene, and linalool. These phenolic
compounds are well known for their strong antimicrobial properties.
The results confirm that the antimicrobial efficacy of Thymus algeriensis depends on the chemical
composition of the essential oil, which can vary according to several environmental factors, such as
harvesting region, climatic conditions, and extraction method.

Abstract – DC-DC power converters are widely used in various applications, including renewable energy
systems and microgrids, where maintaining a stable output voltage under dynamic load conditions is
crucial. This paper presents an optimized Proportional-Integral (PI) controller design for a DC-DC buck
converter using the Bald Eagle Search (BES) optimization algorithm. The buck converter is regulated
through a dual-loop control strategy: an inner loop for inductor current control and an outer loop for output
voltage regulation. The initial design of the buck converter involves selecting appropriate component
values, such as the inductor and capacitor, based on ripple constraints and voltage requirements.
Conventional PI controllers are first designed to establish a reference performance baseline. Subsequently,
the BES algorithm is employed to optimize the PI gains, aiming to enhance system stability and dynamic
response. The proposed control strategy is validated through MATLAB simulations, providing a
comprehensive evaluation of transient behavior, steady-state error, and overall system efficiency. A
comparative analysis between conventional and BES-optimized PI controllers highlights significant
improvements in dynamic performance, making the proposed approach highly suitable for energy
conversion applications that demand high efficiency and robust control.

Abstract – Pulses are widely recognized for their nutritional benefits and their potential role in preventing
certain chronic diseases thanks to their wealth of bioactive compounds. In the study by Smith et al (2020),
the researchers focused on analyzing the phenolic compounds present in several types of legumes -
notably chickpeas, lentils, beans, and peas - in order to determine their antioxidant properties.
The researchers used various analytical methods to identify a diversity of phenolic compounds, including
polyphenols, flavonoids, and tannins. They observed that antioxidant content varied considerably
depending on the legume studied. In particular, dark-colored legumes, such as black beans, showed a
higher polyphenol content and stronger antioxidant activity compared to light-colored legumes, which is
attributed to an increased concentration of flavonoids, powerful antioxidants.
The results of the study indicate that these phenolic compounds play a protective role against oxidative
stress and may potentially reduce the risk of chronic diseases, in particular cardiovascular disease and
diabetes. Smith and his colleagues stress the importance of including more legumes in the human diet
because of their natural antioxidant properties. This study highlights the potential of legumes as
functional ingredients in a healthy, preventive diet.

Abstract – Bread improvers, widely used in bread production, have raised growing concerns regarding
their potential to contribute to diseases affecting both human health and the environment. To evaluate
their toxicity, we studied the effects of a bread improver sold in Algeria under the name "Expert Plus" at
various concentrations (10, 50, 100, 200 mg), using Helix aspersa as a biological model. The
investigation focused on assessing several key parameters, including mortality rate, food consumption,
body weight changes, and alterations in internal organs (hepatopancreas, kidneys, soft tissue), as well as
the shell. Bread improvers, often containing potassium or sodium bromide, are known to have toxic
potential, but their full impact on human and environmental health has not been well studied. The results
of this study indicate that at higher doses, Helix aspersa shows clear signs of toxicity, such as excessive
burrowing, isolation, a sharp decline in food intake, weight loss, and damage to internal organs, as well as
increased mortality. These findings highlight the need for a thorough evaluation of food additives and
their possible effects on both human and environmental health.

Abstract – Nanotechnology is in constant expansion. This field focuses on the application and development
of nanoparticles (NPs), which, due to their unique and highly advantageous physicochemical properties,
have garnered significant interest among researchers and industry professionals. Metallic NPs are often
oxides in powder form and are used across various sectors, including the chemical, agricultural, food,
medical, and energy industries, among others. The increased use of NPs directly correlates with rising
environmental concentrations of these particles in various ecosystems. On the other hand, the aquatic
ecosystem is considered the final destination for NPs released into the environment, raising concerns about
the potential toxicity of NPs. In our study, the in vivo ecotoxicity of chromium oxide (Cr₂O₃) was evaluated
on the marine gastropod Stramonita haemastoma following exposure to different concentrations of Cr₂O₃.
The study assessed the effects on oxidative stress biomarkers in the snails' digestive glands. The results
show a significant reduction in levels of reduced glutathione (GSH) and catalase (CAT) activity, along with
an increase in glutathione S-transferase (GST) activity, suggesting the involvement of these biomarkers in
the detoxification of these NPs. These observations underscore the importance of monitoring the impact of
NPs on marine organisms to better understand and manage the environmental risks associated with
nanotechnology.

Abstract – Earthworms (annelids, oligochaetes) represent a major component of soil macrofauna in most
terrestrial ecosystems. They are probably the most important players in the formation of soils, in their
maintenance of structure and fertility.
Our study is carried out in the Souk Ahras region at two sites (Taoura and Henancha) where we took two
samples in each. In order to describe the earthworm fauna and to have a more or less precise idea of the
biodiversity and demo ecology of earthworms.
Three earthworm species are recorded in this study. They are represented by the Lumbricidae family:
Aporrectodea caliginosa, Lombricus terrestis and Eisenia foetida.
A. caliginosa is the most abundant with 76.12% in the Taoura site, the same species dominates in the
other Henancha site (53.70%). The results show that in both sites, the average of juveniles is higher than
that of sub-adults and adults: 54.86% of juveniles compared to 45.13% of adults in Taoura and 80.57% of
juveniles compared to 19. 43% adults in Henancha. This result confirms that this period is probably
favorable for the activity of earthworms in the Algerian climate.

Abstract – The study delves into the influence of geometric characteristics on natural lighting in the
courtyards of administrative buildings in arid regions, with a specific focus on the Algerian city of Biskra.
The main aim is to ascertain how different courtyard configurations affect illumination, a critical factor
for energy efficiency and occupant comfort in harsh climates. The methodology revolves around the use
of Ecotect software, known for its precision in simulating and analyzing environmental performance,
including natural lighting. By systematically varying courtyard geometries in simulated models, the study
observes changes in light levels throughout the day and across seasons. Preliminary findings indicate that
specific geometric modifications to courtyard shapes and proportions can notably improve natural light
penetration, thereby reducing reliance on artificial lighting and contributing to energy savings. The
simulations also identify optimal configurations that maximize light availability while minimizing heat
gain, particularly beneficial for arid climates like Biskra. This research contributes to sustainable
architectural practices by offering empirical data and practical recommendations for courtyard design in
administrative buildings in arid regions. It underscores the importance of considering both functional and
environmental aspects in building design, highlighting the role of simulation tools like Ecotect in
achieving energy-efficient and occupant-friendly spaces. The paper concludes with a discussion on the
implications of these findings for architects and urban planners, proposing further research areas to
explore the integration of other sustainable elements within courtyard spaces.

Abstract – The significance of building compactness in urban environments, particularly in arid regions
like the M'zab Valley in Algeria, cannot be overstated. This study delves into the impact of construction
density on the local microclimate and the thermcal and psychological comfort of residents. The unique
architecture adapted to desert climates in the M'zab Valley offers an insightful backdrop for this
investigation. Employing a mixed-methodology approach, including microclimatic simulations using
ENVI-met software, resident surveys, and direct measurements of ambient temperatures and comfort
indices, the study reveals those high-density areas with narrow streets and closely spaced buildings
experience lower nighttime temperatures, mitigating the extreme heat typical of desert climates. However,
compactness also presents challenges such as reduced ventilation, leading to increased heat sensation during
the day. Residents in densely built areas report lower comfort levels during peak heat periods, underscoring
the need for urban planning that strikes a balance between density and open spaces to facilitate adequate
air circulation. The article concludes by emphasizing the importance of considering building compactness
in urban planning policies, particularly in arid regions. A deeper understanding of its impact on
microclimate and resident comfort can inform more adaptive urban designs that enhance quality of life
while respecting environmental constraints specific to each region. The study puts forth specific
recommendations for urban planners in the M'zab Valley, aiming to optimize building compactness to
improve residential comfort while minimizing adverse effects on the local microclimate.

Abstract – This research explores the application of space syntax to assess walkability in vernacular and
contemporary urban spaces in arid regions, with a specific focus on the village of Chetma, located in the
Ziban region of Algeria. By comparing these two types of urbanism, the study examines how spatial
configuration influences pedestrian behavior and accessibility in environments constrained by specific
climatic conditions. The results indicate that vernacular urban spaces in Chetma, with their narrow and
winding streets, offer better pedestrian connectivity and greater accessibility, encouraging walking even
under extreme climatic conditions. In contrast, contemporary urban spaces in the region, often
characterized by more dispersed planning and a lack of pedestrian-friendly pathways, exhibit lower
walkability and comfort. The analysis also reveals that compact urban areas, whether vernacular or
contemporary, promote better thermal regulation and reduce exposure to excessive heat, a critical factor
for arid regions. In conclusion, the study provides recommendations for sustainable urban development in
Chetma, integrating the proven principles of vernacular architecture with contemporary needs for
mobility and comfort, while addressing the unique challenges of arid regions.

Abstract – The course of all stages of ontogenesis, including the aging process, is subject to epigenetic
regulation, which is reflected in the subsequent variation of genomic parameters. If in the early stage of
development, the change in the state of chromatin ensures normal development, in the later stage of
ontogenesis it is associated with a violation of cellular and organismal homeostasis - a decrease in the
immune status and level of repair, which leads to a gradual loss of body functions and the development of
aging pathologies.
Genomic parameters changed during the aging process are subject to correction under certain conditions.
In this regard, it is appropriate to study geroprotectors - regulatory oligopeptides used in geriatric practice
to reduce the intensity of aging processes and prevent aging pathologies. In this regard, special attention
is drawn to the study of a new generation of geroprotector drug - thymalin. The drug, which is a synthetic
analog of the regulatory peptide present in the thymus, is used to increase immunity. It is known that with
increasing age, there is a significant decrease in the size of the thymus and, accordingly, a decrease in the
number of its hormones, which affects the body's immune index, therefore, the study of the influence of
thymalin on the normalization of genomic parameters changed in the aging process is of particular
interest.
Based on this, the aim of this work was to study the regulatory action of the peptide bioregulator -
thymalin on the changed genomic characteristics of elderly individuals and its influence on the activity of
synthetic processes.
Analysis of the results showed that thymalin does not affect the disturbed genomic parameters, however,
it significantly increases the activity of ribosomal cistrons and the frequency of acrocentric chromosome
associations, which indicates an increase in the activity of synthetic processes during the action of the
mentioned bioregulator.

Abstract – Density functional theory (DFT) was used to investigate the structural and electronic
properties of hydrogenated silicene sheet. We optimized the structures of functionalized silicene sheet
with H. The calculations show that, the lattice constant of hydrogenated silicene sheet is a = 3.89 (Å), the
Si-Si bond length is 2. 358 Å and Si-H bond length is 1.5 (Å), also the buckling height ∆z = 0.62 (Å),
these values are larger than those obtained for silicene sheet (a = 3.86 Å, Si-Si bond = 2.284 Å and ∆z =
0.45 Å). In terms of electronic properties, our results show that the band gap is opened by
functionalization of hydrogenated silicene. We also found that the zero direct band gap at the K-point
(semimetal) for silicene changes to the direct band gap at the gamma-point (semiconductor Eg =
2.33 eV). The calculations of density and partial DOS were considered to evaluate the bonding
characteristics of the structures, it has shown sp3 hybridization.

Abstract – This study investigates the effects of geometrical parameters, specifically frontal grating height
(H) and Nanoparticles filling ratio (f), on the short-circuit current density (Jsc) and open-circuit voltage (Voc)
of the TPV cell designed with nanostructured metamaterial design and lead sulfide colloidal quantum dots
(PbS-CQDs). The goal is to optimize an optical response, especially across the visible to near-infrared
spectrum, enhancing the cell's power conversion efficiency (PCE). For Jsc, the results reveal a range of
45.4 to 49.5 mA/cm² across various configurations, with higher filling ratios proving particularly effective
at boosting current density. The Jsc exhibited values ranging from 45.4 to 49.5 mA/cm² across the different
configurations. Notably, higher filling ratios were found to positively correlate with increased current
density. The observed enhancement in Jsc is attributed to intensified near-field scattering within the active
layer. This optimized light harvesting is facilitated by four mechanisms such as surface plasmon polaritons
(SPPs), localized surface plasmon resonances (LSPRs) and magnetic polariton (MP). In terms of grating
height, an intermediate value of 140 nm yields the highest Jsc, suggesting that this height creates ideal
conditions for effective photon trapping and propagation, maximizing absorption efficiency. The Voc
exhibited minimal variation, with values ranging from 0.5021 to 0.5043 V across different filling ratios.
The modest increase in Voc is attributed to reduced recombination losses within the absorber layer,
enhancing carrier collection efficiency. The optimized values of H and f not only promote efficient photon
absorption but also contribute to a balanced trade-off between light management and thermal stability. This
underscores the potential of structured nanomaterials for TPV applications. These results underscore the
critical role of meticulous optimization of geometrical parameters in nanostructured Metamaterial STPV
cells. Such optimization techniques are imperative for maximizing electrical performance and energy
conversion efficiency, particularly in cutting-edge hybrid solar-thermal applications.

Abstract - Steel industry is considered as a resource intensive and pollution prone manufacturing unit. A
large quantity of by-products e.g. slag, mill scale, offcuts, air filter dust etc. is generated as a sequel of steel
making process. Steel manufacturing industries based on manual systems produce greater number of by-
products compared to re-rolling mills and industries based on automatic system. This demands management
options to ensure economic returns without compromising environmental sustainability. The present study

Abstract: Since genetic engineering began to develop and enter the medical field, genetic analyzes have
been taken for the purpose of accurate diagnosis of diseases. At the same time, the field of Gene Therapy
has become one of the greatest areas of interest in the medical field for the purpose of a one-time treatment
of diseases. The goal of Gene Therapy is to restore the impaired function of the specific gene that causes
the disease or syndrome and to give the patient a drug containing the gene whose function has been
genetically restored.
We can introduce these manipulated genes into human cells in two ways: The first is the transduction
method, in which gene transfer is carried out using viral vectors. The retrovirus containing the manipulated
gene combines with the target cell and thus the virus carrying the healthy gene copy is located in the genome
of the cell. That is, retroviruses undergo division like cells and thus cause the healthy gene copies they carry
to enter and settle in the body, and after the cell division process, each cell carries a copy of the manipulated
gene. The limiting aspect of this method is that it is specific to the target cell, meaning that only cells that
are formed from the division of that target cell carry the healthy genes in question. As a result, the number
of healthy genes in the cell remains the same. The second method is the transfection method, which uses
non-viral vectors (plasmids). In this method, new genetic material is introduced into the gene through
mutation.

Abstract - Social media platforms, especially Instagram have become a significant source of digital
communication where users can interact through satire, humor, and, irony. Sarcasm is a rhetorical device
mostly used to express hidden meaning, criticism or humor. Fadilah & Wijayanto (2024) examines that
sarcasm in digital communication is conveyed through emoji's, textual emphasis and exaggerated phrases,
making its automated detection in a growing field of research. Due to the absence of vocal and facial cues,
detecting sarcasm in text-based interaction is challenging. This study examines sarcastic comments on the
Instagram page Sarcastic_us, categorizing them into different types of sarcasm based on contextual and
linguistic features. A descriptive Qualitative approach was used to analyze 600 comments from 30 posts
using content analysis. Key findings of the study uncover six main types of sarcasm used by Instagram
users; absurd sarcasm, deadpan sarcasm, polite sarcasm, playful sarcasm, ironic sarcasm, and self-
deprecating sarcasm. The study highlights the analysis of different types of sarcasm in Instagram comments.
It also presents the most dominant form of self-deprecating sarcasm (30%) which is used the most for
humor and relevance. Additionally, exaggeration and emoji’s play an important role in making the sarcasm

Abstract - This study investigates the degradation efficiency of three textile dyes—RO4, DR80, and
RR184—through advanced oxidation processes (AOPs) employing persulfate (PS) activation via
ultraviolet (UV) irradiation and thermal energy. The results show that UV/PS activation out performs other
AOPs (UV/acetone and UV/H₂O₂), demonstrating the highest pseudo-first-order rate constants and
decolorization efficiencies under ambient conditions. Thermal activation also showed promising
degradation capacity, especially at elevated temperatures (≥ 60 °C). Radical scavenging tests confirmed the
predominant role of SO₄•⁻ over •OH radicals in most cases, with the degradation mechanism and
thermodynamic feasibility being dye-dependent. Comparative analysis underlines the superior oxidative
capacity, lower chemical demand, and operational flexibility of PS-based AOPs, supporting their
integration into advanced wastewater treatment systems.

Abstract - This research offers a linguistic interpretation of Amjad Islam Amjad's poem "Kahan Aa Kay
Rukny Thy Rastay, Kahan Mor Tha, Usy Bhool Jaa" based on Halliday's Systemic Functional Linguistics
(SFL) model. The study seeks to investigate how the language of the poem represents universal human
experiences of choice, remorse, and self-consciousness. Using the SFL model, the research analyzes the
ideational, interpersonal, and textual metafunctions of the poem to reveal how meaning is creatd. The text
of the poem was analyzed for linguistic features such as material and mental processes, pronoun usage,
rhetorical questions, and structural organization. The results indicate that the poem utilizes linguistic
resources to express the weight of decision, invite readers to reflective discourse, and emphasize the cyclical
patterns of decisions in life. The results highlight the poem's two-fold function as both an artistic work and
social discourse. The research shows the significance of SFL in uncovering the underlying social and
philosophical aspects of poetic language, as well as its insights into how language relates individual
experience to universal existential issues. This has implications for literary and linguistic scholarship,
expanding the horizons of understanding poetry as social and personal articulation. These results point to
the dual importance of the poem as both a work of art and a vehicle for social discourse. The research
illustrates the value of SFL in revealing the underlying social and philosophical aspects of poetic language,
as well as observations on how language connects personal experience to larger existential issues. This has
implications for literary and linguistic analysis, expanding our understanding of poetry as a social and
individual form of expression.

Abstract- Multi-level inverters (MLIs) are becoming essential for most high-voltage, high-power, and
high-power medium-voltage electronic applications. MLIs offer many output levels suited to satisfy the
varied demands of high-voltage and power applications. Besides enhancing output levels, MLI can reduce
voltage stress (dv/dt) and the total harmonic distortion across the power switches. The extensive
advancement of new MLI topologies on current ones enhances the ability to increase output levels while
utilizing fewer components. Three significant topologies of multilevel inverters are compared in this work:
cascaded H-bridge inverters, diode-clamped inverters, and flying capacitors. Electromagnetic interference
(EMI) and total harmonic distortion results are compared. To do this comparison, meticulous
MATLAB/Simulink simulations are used to analyze these inverters. Three configurations of inverters are
simulated. There are three types of phases: single phase, three levels, and five levels. Based on the
comprehensive MATLAB/Simulink simulation results, a comparison of the efficacy of these multilevel
inverters is possible. Alongside conducting a comparative analysis of established topologies, Traditional
multilevel inverter designs frequently encounter complexity issues, highlighting the need for a more
simplified approach. This study introduces a novel structure known as the 'packed u-cell 5 ' within the
MATLAB/Simulink software. Its THD characteristics are analyzed to assess this novel structure's efficacy.
By implementing PID control, the work also seeks to enhance the total harmonic distortion performance of
the 'packed u-cell 5 ' structure. The inverter's THD is decreased by implementing the PID control method,
Improving its overall performance. The research generally entails an exhaustive examination of diverse
topologies of multilevel inverters, with a comparative analysis of their total harmonic distortion and
electromagnetic interference outputs conducted via simulations in MATLAB/Simulink. In addition, a novel
structure is introduced, its total harmonic distortion performance is assessed, and the potential for further
performance enhancement through PID control is investigated.

Abstract - In this study, Barium doped Zinc oxide thin films were synthesized by the successive ionic
layer adsorption and reaction (SILAR) technique at various deposited cycles (03-15 cycles). The optical
property and surface morphology of Ba/ZnO thin films were studied. X-ray diffraction analysis reveals
the hexagonal polycrystalline nature of Ba-doped ZnO films. The transmittance of the thin films was
characterized by UV–Vis measurements from 290 nm to 1200 nm. The energy band gaps of the thin films
decreased from 3.64 eV to 3.05 eV. Furthermore, the photocatalytic performance of samples under visible
sunlight was studied for amoxicillin at different cycle numbers. At 15 cycles, the degradation of
amoxicillin was degraded by 54.31% for 2 hours under sunlight irradiation. This study offers valuable
insights into the influence of Ba-doped ZnO thin films with varying cycles on the quality of thin films,
which is an applicable facility in photocatalytic degradation.

Abstract – In a context where the search for natural, effective, and environmentally friendly solutions is
becoming a priority, essential oils are emerging as promising alternatives to synthetic compounds. This
study is part of green chemistry, evaluating the biological efficacy of several essential oils extracted using
environmentally friendly processes. The tests focused on two major areas: antioxidant activity and
hemolytic effect. Antioxidant activity was assessed using standard methods (DPPH, FRAP), demonstrating
significant reducing power, which varied depending on the chemical composition of the oils analyzed.
These properties suggest potential applications in the prevention of oxidative stress, which is implicated in
many chronic pathologies. In parallel, the hemolytic effect was studied to assess potential cytotoxicity on
human red blood cells. The results revealed low hemolysis at low concentrations, indicating good biological
tolerance under certain conditions of use. These results confirm that certain essential oils combine
antioxidant efficacy with low toxicity, reinforcing their potential as natural bioactive agents for
pharmaceutical or cosmetic applications, while also supporting a sustainable chemistry approach.

Abstract – This study investigates the impact of fin geometry on the heat transfer performance in
aluminum fin heat sinks under forced convection. Seven distinct fin shapes—half-hexagon, circle,
elliptic, half-circle, half-square, square, and triangular—were designed with identical surface areas. The
heat transfer performance of different fin geometry was evaluated using Computational Fluid Dynamics
(CFD) with the standard k–ε turbulence model in a commercially available software. The objective was to
assess the influence of fin geometry on the Nusselt number, pressure drop, and the Heat Transfer
Performance Factor (HTPF). The results indicate that the circular fin geometry exhibited the highest
Nusselt number and lowest pressure drop, achieving the best HTPF value. Velocity formation around the
fins revealed that fin shape significantly affects recirculation zones, turbulence intensity, and thermal
boundary layer behavior, with circular and elliptic designs promoting efficient flow patterns. Increasing
Reynolds number enhanced heat transfer by intensifying turbulence, as evidenced by temperature and
velocity distributions. The findings underscore the critical role of fin geometry in balancing heat
dissipation and flow resistance, with circular fins offering superior performance for thermal management
in compact electronics and embedded systems. These insights provide valuable guidance for designing
high-efficiency heat exchangers.

Abstract – Mastitis is a pathology widely extended in dairy cattle throughout the world and causes high
economic losses to the dairy farms. It also deteriorates the welfare of animals and exposes consumers to
unhealthy and low-quality products. Mastitis is classified as clinical or subclinical; clinical mastitis is
characterized by visual clinical signs that are manifested in animal udder and milk appearance. The
subclinical form of this disease is difficult to diagnose due to a lack of clinical signs. The only way to be
detected is by measuring somatic cells with specific tests. A broad regional survey was conducted in the
south Albanian region (Fier, Berat, Korçë, Gjirokastër, and Vlorë district) to estimate the prevalence of
subclinical bovine mastitis. In total, 215 cows from different farm sizes were screened for subclinical
mastitis. Milk samples were screened with the California Mastitis Test (CMT). A cow with at least one
udder quarter that resulted after screening in +1, +2, or +3 was estimated as positive for subclinical mastitis.
Analysis of collected samples demonstrates an overall prevalence of subclinical mastitis of 59% in the
southern Albania region. Fieri resulted in the district with the highest subclinical mastitis prevalence, with
68%. The results indicate the necessity of new strategies for mastitis control and prevention.

Abstract:
Ocean energy is a great source of renewable and sustainable energy consisting of tidal, wave, and ocean
thermal sources. The whole world is trying to extract this prominent energy source for sustainable power
generation as it is very cheap and environmentally friendly. Although Pakistan being one of the countries to
have a great opportunity to harness the power of ocean for energy production according to the sources 1100
MW is the estimated amount of energy, yet Pakistan has not utilized it. Pakistan is mostly dependent upon
the nonrenewable energy sources like coal, oil and gas which are highly expensive and pollutes the
environment. Seeing all these factors Pakistan will have to utilize ocean energy for electricity production.
However, ocean energy is a promising option for to reduce the dependence of Pakistan on expensive and
environmental degrading source of energy production, yet ocean energy has also environmental impacts. This
paper explores the opportunity for Pakistan to explore the ocean energy, its importance and environmental
hazards and their mitigating measures.

Abstract - The agricultural sector is facing a complex set of challenges due to population growth globally, the
impact of climate change, and continuous natural resources depletion, leading to the generation of large
amounts of agro wastes. Technology improvements have led to much higher farm productivity, inadvertently
leading to a substantial rise in the volume of waste generated from farming activities. This surplus waste is
causing significant harm and severe threats to the environment, manifesting in various forms of pollution and
loss of different plant and animal species. However, within this abundance of agricultural waste lies a potential
opportunity for harnessing both energy and essential nutrients through a process known as energy and nutrient
recovery (ENR), which can not only holds promise in addressing the sustainability concerns prevalent in the
agricultural industry but also serves as a mean to close the nutrient cycles essential for environmental balance.
ENR from agro wastes can provide profitable products and offer an alternative to unsustainable approaches
that rely on non-renewable energy sources. This review delves into the pivotal role of utilizing agricultural
waste for energy and nutrient recovery, emphasizing its crucial significance in elevating the production of more
valuable and sustainable products within the agricultural landscape.

Abstract - This study aims to describe types of question in Arabic and their counterparts in English to find out
the similarities and differences between them, especially in Surah Al Kahf. This study is a complex and
challenging one, because Surah Al-Kahf is a long and complex surah, and it contains a wide variety of
questions. Some of these questions are rhetorical, some are open-ended, and some are closed-ended.
Additionally, the English language is very different from the Arabic language, and this can make it difficult to
accurately translate and understand the meaning of the questions in Surah Al-Kahf.
This paper deals with types of Surah Al-Kahf’s questions and their realization in English. It can provide insights
of the Quran's rhetorical and communicative strategies. It can also improve the translation of this important
surah into English. The study can identify the different types of questions, examine their translations in English,
and analyze the impact of translation on the text's meaning and communicative effect. Comparative analysis
of different translations can also help to identify areas for improvement.

Abstract – Building materials that are both affordable and environmentally friendly have become
increasingly important as the construction industry moves toward sustainability. This research explores
how two abundant natural fibers found in Algeria can strengthen compressed earth blocks and create
better building materials for hot, dry climates. We used date palm fibers from agricultural waste in
southern Algeria and alfa grass fibers from the natural grasslands in northern Algeria.
These fibers were mixed into earth blocks at different amounts (0.1% to 0.5%) along with clay, sand, and
cement. We tested various properties to see how well the fiber-reinforced blocks performed. The results
showed real improvements: date palm fibers increased bending strength by 22-35%, while alfa fibers
boosted compression strength by 18-28%. Both fiber types also made the blocks better insulators,
reducing heat transfer by 12-18% - something crucial for Algeria's desert climate.
The fiber-reinforced blocks absorbed 8-12% less water than regular blocks, yet still allowed proper air
circulation for healthy indoor conditions. Under microscopic examination, we found that the fibers
bonded well with the earth mixture and were evenly spread throughout. The best combination was 0.3%
date palm fibers with 0.2% alfa fibers, which gave the strongest and most energy-efficient blocks.
Long-term testing showed these blocks resist cracking and maintain their shape well over time. This work
demonstrates how Algeria can turn agricultural waste and natural resources into valuable building
materials. The enhanced earth blocks provide better structural strength, improved comfort in hot weather,
and less environmental impact than conventional materials, making them ideal for sustainable
construction across North Africa where these fibers are plentiful.

Abstract – Both potential buyers and those involved in the housing market must make important financial
decisions based on this house price prediction. An investor in the housing market is interested in the
possible return, whether they are making an investment or purchasing a home for their own use. In order
to create intelligent regression models for predicting house prices, this paper introduces machine learning
algorithms. The four steps of the suggested research methodology are data collection, preprocessing and
formatting the data, creating intelligent models with machine learning algorithms, and training, testing,
and validating the model on housing market prices.
Keywords – Algorithm, House Price, Real Estate, Machine Learning, and Price Prediction.

Abstract - Relevance. According to WHO, the prevalence of harmful habits, including alcohol and opioid
abuse, is increasing worldwide. One of the factors contributing to this, according to scientists, is that the
widespread and simplified access to alcohol and the war, which has led to severe injuries requiring
narcotic analgesics for treatment, in turn led to a sharp increase in the number of opioid prescriptions
(such as oxycodone, morphine, etc.), which resulted in a fourfold increase in opioid-related overdose
deaths.
The aim of the research. To compare the effects of alcohol and opioids during pregnancy on the
intrauterine development of the organism.
Materials and methods. The study involved 75 women who were at risk during pregnancy (the
selection criterion was the presence of a history of alcohol or opioid use) and women who led a healthy
lifestyle. Descriptive and sociological research methods were used.
Results of the study. Among the surveyed women who abused alcohol and opioids, it was found
that in 47% of cases, these women experienced complicated pregnancies, in 30% there were preterm
births, and in 23% there was early pregnancy loss. In children born to mothers who abused alcohol and
drugs during pregnancy, 56% of cases indicated delays in physical and mental development, 33%
indicated predominant damage to the nervous system, and 21% indicated predominant damage to the
cardiovascular system.
The obtained data indicate that alcohol and opioids likely share a common mechanism of action
known as neonatal withdrawal syndrome. For example, opioids from the mother quickly cross the
placenta, binding to opioid receptors in the peripheral and central nervous systems of the fetus, leading to
135
fetal dependence. This is evidenced by the fact that newborns have a smaller head circumference and
reduced volume and connectivity of white matter.
Conclusions. Thus, based on the data from the conducted research, it can be concluded that the
systematic use of drugs and alcohol by the mother has common mechanisms of influence, which may
manifest as premature detachment of the placenta in the pregnant woman and the emergence of congenital
malformations.

The properties of Ba₂₋ₓPbₓSr(VO₄)₂ orthovanadates vary with the level of lead substitution. Increasing lead content in the solid-solution series alters the structural, thermal, and electrical properties of these materials. They are synthesized via conventional solid-state methods and characterized using techniques like Raman and infrared spectroscopy, which reveal changes in their crystal structures and electrical conductivity as a function of lead concentration .
Earthworms serve as bioindicators of soil health, particularly in monitoring the impact of chemical fertilizers. In studies, their physiological responses, such as oxidative stress markers, reflect soil quality changes due to nitrogenous fertilizers. A significant decrease in total protein and reduced glutathione (GSH) levels, alongside increased detoxification enzymatic activity, indicates soil stress and pollution caused by excessive fertilizer application, thus underscoring the importance of earthworms in environmental risk assessment .
Machine learning aids in predicting psychological risks by analyzing patterns in digital behavior, such as screen time and social media usage. Techniques like Random Forest and SMOTE help balance datasets and improve prediction accuracy. Models can classify individuals into risk categories for stress and mental health, offering insights earlier than traditional methods and enabling targeted interventions to manage psychological risks .
AI-supported security in future workforces offers significant opportunities for enhanced efficiency, risk reduction, and new job creation by automating routine tasks. However, it poses challenges, such as the displacement of human labor, increased need for AI-specialized training, and the potential for deepening inequalities in the labor market. The dual-edged nature of AI in workplaces requires careful policy and educational responses to maximize benefits while mitigating negative impacts .
Validation techniques are crucial in machine learning for ensuring model performance reliability, particularly in problems with class imbalance. Techniques like cross-validation and stratified sampling help measure accuracy, precision, and robustness, forming a more reliable benchmark for model performance. Proper validation helps in fine-tuning models to handle real-world data variability effectively, thus ensuring their generalizability and reliability .
Integrating human-centered design into automotive engineering enhances pedestrian safety by focusing on vehicle front-end design that optimizes visibility and impact mitigation. Using a systems-based approach, these designs can improve detection and response to pedestrians, reducing accident risks. Advanced materials and sensor placements are also part of this design philosophy, aiming to create vehicles that better account for human behavior and safety in urban environments .
The increased use of nanoparticles poses significant environmental risks, notably to aquatic ecosystems. Nanoparticles such as Cr₂O₃ accumulate in aquatic environments and exhibit toxicity to marine organisms, exemplified by the oxidative stress they cause in marine gastropods like Stramonita haemastoma. Studies showed reductions in reduced glutathione and catalase activities, coupled with increased glutathione S-transferase activity, indicating a detoxification response . Monitoring and managing NP impacts are crucial to mitigate these environmental risks.
Structural modifications in sulfonamides significantly influence their enzyme inhibition and antifungal activities. Substituents at the para position, such as Cl, F, and NO2, play a key role in altering the efficacy of these bioactivities. These modifications enhance lipoxygenase inhibition and improve antifungal properties. Computational docking studies showed that these structural changes allow better interactions with the active sites of acetylcholinesterase, butyryl cholinesterase, and lipoxygenase, corroborating experimental data .
