Guidelines to parents: This is an activity to help your child associate numerals with quantities and developing
the skill of writing the numeral 6. Begin by pointing to an image and ask leading questions like ‘ What do these
look like? How many do you see? Can we write down the number ?’ Guide your child to hold the pencil
appropriately while tracing the number 6 given below. If your child shows difficulty in writing the numeral, you
can help your child by having him/her trace the numeral in a sand tray or a tray filled with rice or any substance
like rava etc.
