Questions

1. Draw the isometric projection of a hexagonal prism kept on the HP such that the axis of the prism
is perpendicular to the HP and one of the hexagon’s sides is parallel to the XY line. The side of the
hexagon is 30 mm, and the height is 75 mm. (10)

2. Draw three possible isometric views for the given orthographic view. You need not draw the given
orthographic views for this question. (5 + 5 + 5)

3. Draw the isometric views for the given orthographic view. You need not draw the given
orthographic views for this question. (15)
4. Draw an isometric view from the orthographic views of a sphere cut at the top and bottom. The
diameter of the sphere is 80mm. The diameter of the top circle is 50 mm, and the diameter of the
bottom circle is 30mm. (20)

5. Draw an isometric view of a combined solid comprised of a pentagonal frustum (Lower side 30
mm; Upper side 15 mm; Height 45 mm) having a cylinder (Length 50mm; Diameter 20 mm) on top
of it. The frustum is kept on its larger base, and one side of the pentagon makes an angle of 30º to
the XY line. The cylinder’s longitudinal axis is parallel to the HP and makes an angle of 45º to the
XY line. The vertical axis of the frustum bisects the cylinder’s longitudinal axis. (20)
