Senior Software Engineer- TypeScript

Routeware is an integrated technology for waste and recycling that achieve fleet and community

and recycling leaders use technology to delight customers, improve operations, and protect our
planet.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Senior Software Engineer is responsible for producing and implementing functional
software solutions. The individual in this role works with the Director of Engineering, Product
Management, and their team to define software requirements and take the lead on development
projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES

●​ Architect, design, and write software for the full stack.


●​ Participate in agile and scrum-like engineering processes including daily stand-ups, code
reviews, and sprint planning as appropriate.
●​ Write and/or review documentation typical of software development methodologies such
as Product Requirements, Functional Specifications, and Integration Test Plans.
●​ Assist junior members of staff with pair programming and mentorship.
●​ Research new technologies and solutions as appropriate.
●​ Participate in quality assurance activities including integration and system testing.
●​ Provide technical assistance to Customer Support, including problem diagnosis and
issue resolution.
●​ Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

●​ 5+ years of Software Engineering experience.


●​ Strong background with TypeScript with an emphasis on Functional Programming
principles.
●​ Strong background with an RDBMS, such as SQL Server or PostgreSQL.
●​ Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Docker container-based deployments.
●​ Experience with Agile methodologies.
●​ Experience with Domain Driven Design concepts.
●​ Experience with Cloud-based platforms such as AWS or Azure.
●​ Ability to juggle multiple tasks.
