1. START- UP AND SHUTDOWN

To turn on the system:


Press the power button on the black computer box.
Turn on the CR Reader unit by flipping the power switch at the side.
Press the power button on the top of the reader unit.

SYSTEM SHUTDOWN

✓ Turn off the power switch on the side of the Reader

2. HOW TO REGISTER A PATIENT MANUALLY

1. Click on the tab at the top of the screen.


2. Now enter the patient information in the relevant fields.

3. Click on the arrow icon at the bottom right of the screen.

4. HOW TO DO POST PROCESSING ON AN IMAGE

Markers & Annotation

1. Markers or annotation can now be added to the image.


2. Click on the relevant marker and click on the image where the marker should
go. Then click on OK.

Collimation

1. Click on

3. Draw a collimation block around the image to crop off any unwanted detail.

5. To window an image, click on and drag the mouse across the image
to change the contrast and density.

5. HOW TO REJECT AN IMAGE WITHOUT SENDING IT

1. Highlight the exam to be rejected so it appears blue.

2. Click on the icon at the right.

The machine will automatically give you a new exam, exactly the same as the one
you have marked with an X.(So that you can repeat the exam)

3. If you do not want to repeat the exam, highlight the exam and click .

4. When the examination is complete click

PLEASE NOTE:

• If you want to get the exam / image back, highlight the exam and press

on the icon again. The click on OK.


This will undo your action and the image will be available to print / send again.

6. HOW TO RESTART A STUDY
(ADD ADDITIONAL VIEWS TO A COMPLETED PATIENT)

1. Go to the Today tab if the patient was done today. If the patient was done any
other day click on the All tab.

2. Select the patient from the list by clicking on the patient’s name.

3. Now click on the icon.

4. The study will re-open and additional views can be added by clicking .

7. HOW TO CHANGE AN EXAM IF IMAGE WAS


PROCESSED ON THE WRONG MENU

1. Select the wrong exposure menu by clicking on it.

2. Click on the Change exposure menu icon

3. Choose the correct exposure menu and click on .


4. The image will be re-processed with the correct exposure menu algorithm.

8. HOW TO PRINT YOUR IMAGES

1. For a completed patient: Select the patient to be printed by highlighting it

green and click on the printing icon at the top right of the screen:
OR, before completing the study, click on the same printing icon on the toolbar at

the bottom of the screen:

2. The printing interface will open up

3. Click on the print layout and drag over the blocks to choose the
desired layout.

4. Make sure that the correct orientation is selected


5. Make sure to select the correct Printer, Template and Film Size

6. Drag and drop the images from the left into the preferred blocks.

7. Click on and click on the image to zoom or minimize the


images to the correct size.

5. HOW TO SUSPEND A STUDY

2. Select Suspend Exposure

1. Put the mouse on the Complete icon and Left


Click and hold the left button of the mouse in.

6. The study is suspended and another patient can be done in the meantime.

7. To continue a suspended study go the Waiting Study tab and click on the
arrow in the green block to continue working.

10. HOW TO COPY AN IMAGE

1. Add the menu that the image should be copied to using and selecting
the views from the menu list.
2. Click on the thumbnail image of the image that should be copied. (there will
be a white frame around and a small white arrow to the left of the thumbnail
image.
3. Now click on the empty menu name so that the menu where the image
should be copied to, is highlighted green.

4. Now click on the - icon on the toolbar at the


bottom of the screen.
5. The image will be copied to the selected menu and marked as a COPY.

11. HOW TO RE-DELIVER A STUDY TO PACS

1. Got the ALL tab and select the patient that needs to be resent, by
highlighting it green.
2. Click on the drop-down arrow in the top right of the screen.

12. HOW TO MOVE IMAGES BETWEEN PATIENTS

1. Click on the arrow at the top right of the screen

2. Click on the Image Moving between studies icon


3. Double click on the patient that has the “wrong” images;
Double click on the Series and select the image to be moved

only clicking once on the patient’s name.

3. Put the mouse on the image, hold in the left sided button of the mouse and
drag the image straight.

function has completed. Wait for the Database Utility block to appear
again.
