Ore Control Process in Mining Operations

Ore control is a quality control process that ensures the economic extraction of minerals by defining and managing ore zones within a mine. It involves evaluating and classifying mineral content, monitoring extraction activities, and generating ore control plans to optimize mining operations. Additionally, reverse circulation drilling is utilized for groundwater exploration, enhancing recovery and efficiency in drilling operations.

ORE CONTROL

What is Ore Control?

Ore control is a quality control process that must ensure us
that the mineral complies with the reserve law, for which it is necessary
delimit and extract the economic zones of the veins defined as
ore (ore), in such a way as to obtain a profitable product using
tools of technical excellence within acceptable margins.
The objective of Ore Control is to define and control the mining of the ore,
to monitor the movement of mineral that is extracted and incorporated into the
processing plant, for this the ore control process begins at the
mine and finish on the plant.

The first two concepts to define in ore control are vein and ore.
VETA
It is a tabular mass of mineral deposited in fractures,
cracks or fissures, of a rocky body, the veins
are the result of the gradual precipitation of ions
metallics from hydrothermal solutions in
quantities that can make them economical or not
ORE
It is the segment of the vein that by its content
metallic is economical, defined based on the Cut Off or
cut-off law. When the mineralization is economical in
the entire vein will then be considered as ORE in its
totality, based on geological concepts-

Currently in MHM the following are managed:

Long-Term Model - Indicated Resource.

The main task of an ore control in the mine is to
evaluate the material to be extractable as
high, medium and/or low mineral, otherwise
dismantle, the ore control has the capability to
differentiate each of these categories and it has to
to be looking at the load that will be extracted from the mine.
The task of daily control is to evaluate all the
loads at each extraction site and carry a notebook
of the report which indicates each one of the
activities at each site that is located in
operations. The classification of the mineral as low,
medium and/or high refers to the percentage of
mineral content.

Ore Control Plans Once all the
information generates two plans, the first is the
the actual Ore Control plan, which is given to the
Ore Control technician to define the Ore polygon
generated. This plan includes the power of the Ore and is

transport of the detritus.
This system allows:
. A faster cleaning of the bottom of the well
. Surface recovery of a larger and uncontaminated detritus
. Higher drilling speed.
. Recovery of detritus in highly fractured areas, or with mines or caves
intermediates
OPERATION SCHEME
There are three types of drilling systems with this type of circulation:
Reverse circulation by depression in the head
Reverse circulation by forced injection
Reverse circulation with piping
One of the main applications of drilling
RC is the exploration of groundwater either in
unconsolidated formations (Quaternary) and in rock,
the advantage that this drilling system has is the
use of dual piping and regarding wells of
5 ¼” exploration, does not require casing placement in
the training.

advantage since the exploration well does not require
