na etiqueta em relação às informações apresentadas na embalagem.
4.3 PREPARING THE INSTALLATION SITE
Before installing the product, some requirements need to be observed to ensure
that all the steps can be followed correctly, thus ensuring a
proper installation.
4.3.1 Installation site requirements
Check that the electrical and physical installations of the location where the product will be
installed are in accordance with all applicable specifications and technical standards
by the local government authority.
The constructions in the location in question need to be prepared to support
mechanical and electrical loads of the new equipment to be installed. Note the

Electrical equipment can generate a significant amount of heat. Therefore, it is
it is essential to provide a temperature-controlled environment to ensure a
proper and safe operation.
In addition to temperature control, it is necessary to ensure that the product operates only
in controlled humidity locations. Additionally, the environment must be free of
materiais ou gases capazes de conduzir eletricidade.
[Link] Equipment requirements
To ensure proper operation, when installing the DM4380, please follow the information
available in the sectionss 7.2e7.4.
4.4 INSTALLING IN 19-INCH RACKS
The DM4380 was designed to be installed in 19-inch racks, occupying
only 1U in height. For choosing the appropriate location for installation, pay attention to the
following items:
. Choose a location that is easily accessible to the equipment and where its LEDs
can be seen;
. The temperature must comply with the temperature specification of
the operation of the product and the relative humidity of the air must be between 10% and
90% non-condensed;
. Install the equipment close to a power source.
After choosing the appropriate location, take the equipment to the rack and insert two screws.

4.7.1 Connecting to PSU 125
The PSU 125 power supplies can be hot-swapped.
connect a PSU to the equipment align the mechanical base of the PSU to the base of
equipment and insert the card into the slot until its panel touches the panel of
equipment.
For the PSU 125, it is necessary to screw in the notched screw to ensure the
correct fixation of the source.
If the slot to be used is protected by a blind panel, remove it beforehand.
It is recommended to use a screwdriver on the notched screw to ensure the
perfect fixation of the PSU 125.

5INSERTING AND REMOVING TRANSCEIVERS
This chapter describes how the transceiver modules should be installed and
removed. It also provides information about DATACOM's guidelines regarding cleaning and
storage of modules and optical fibers.
The SFP (Small Form-factor Pluggable), SFP+, QSFP+, and QSFP28 modules are inserted
at the corresponding ports of the equipment, operating as transceivers between the
equipment and the selected optical communication path.
In order to ensure a long life and good performance of the equipment, it is very
It is important to follow the guidelines from DATACOM described below.
. Care with Optical Cords:
Keep the optical cords that are not in use always with the
protective cover. The core of the optical cords can get dirty and cause loss
of performance just by being stored without the protective cover, even
being stored in a suitable cabinet;
Clean the core of the optical cords before using them. For
To carry out the cleaning, it is necessary to use only specific material. Any
other material used to clean the core of the optical fibers can
cause loss of performance in the equipment or even cause damage
irreparable to the cords.
. Care with Optical Modules:
To handle the optical modules, it is always necessary to use a wrist strap.
antistatic
To transport and store optical modules it is always necessary
do it within its original packaging, in order to prevent any damage
physical or electrostatic in the module.
During the execution of any maintenance on the equipment,
make sure that the technician responsible for maintenance is using
the appropriate protections. Grounding (use of anti-static wrist strap)
can prevent damage to the operator's health and damage to the equipment.
The transceivers provided by DATACOM meet the specifications.
INF-8074i (SFP MSA), SFF-8431 (SFP+ MSA), SFF-8436 (QSFP+ MSA), SFF-
8679 (QSFP28 MAS) and IEC/EN 60825-1 (LASER safety). Non-modules
approved do not guarantee the correct functioning of the equipment and
they can damage it. Contact theSSUPPORTTTECHNICIANfor
more information about the risks in the use of non-modules
approved and the possibility of using them.

DM4380–Installation Guide Inserting and Removing Transceivers
Optical modules use laser transmitters with invisible radiation.
Although most of the SFP/SFP+/QSFP+/QSFP28 on the market meet
the LASER safety specifications, never look directly at the
ends of a module or optical cord. Exposure to emission
laser can cause partial or total loss of vision.
