Xi’an is the most beautiful place I’ve been.
Its old city wall is amazing - big, gray,
and looping around the center. I walked on it at sunrise, and it felt like stepping
back in time. Below, people did slow exercises, and the air smelled fresh.
The Muslim Quarter is so lively. At night, lanterns light up narrow streets. You can
smell roasting lamb and sweet snacks everywhere. Vendors laugh, and it feels
friendly, like a big party.
The Terracotta Army is mind-blowing. Thousands of clay soldiers, each with a
different face, stand quiet and strong. They’re old but feel alive, like they’re
guarding a secret.
What I love most is how old and new mix. Pagodas stand next to tall buildings, and
grandmas fly kites near ancient temples. Xi’an feels warm, like a place where
history is still living.
