ABSTRACT

NYISZLI, Miklos. I Was Doctor Mengele’ s Assistant

This study analyzes the medical research carried out by German scientists during the
Holocaust, focusing on experiments conducted on concentration camp prisoners. The
objective is to examine how these practices violated ethical principles and influenced the
development of later international human-protection standards. The study is justified by its
historical relevance and the need to acknowledge the scientific and human impacts of these
crimes. The methodology includes bibliographic research, document analysis, and
historiographical studies. It concludes that Nazi experiments caused extreme suffering and
systematic rights violations, contributing to the creation of the Nuremberg Code and the
strengthening of scientific ethics.
