Text:

Maria wanted to visit the new library in town. She asked a passerby for
directions.

"Sure," said the man. "Walk straight for two blocks, then turn left at the
traffic light. You'll see a bank on your right. The library is just across the
street from the bank, next to the post office."

Maria followed the directions. She walked past a park on her left and a
café on her right. At the traffic light, she turned left and saw the bank.
Just as the man said, the library was across from it, between the post
office and a bakery.

She found it easily, thanks to the clear directions.

Direction Vocabulary List:
