Transfer RadminVPN Admin Rights Guide

Administrator rights are initially assigned to the network creator and cannot be restored if the drive is formatted or registry keys are lost. To preserve these rights, users should export specific registry keys before making changes to the system. Additionally, rights can be temporarily transferred to another user through the Radmin menu, with the option to reclaim them later.

By default, administrator rights belong only to the creator of the network.

If your drive has been formatted, or registry keys have been lost, then there is no longer an
opportunity to restore the rights.

In the future, before formatting drive or reinstalling the OS, you need to save the following registry
branch:

to do this, run the registry editor, start => run => regedit

or keyboard shortcut win+r => regedit

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Famatech\RadminVPN\1.0\Registration (for x86)

or

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Famatech\RadminVPN\1.0\Registration
(for x64)

Find this branch and right-click on this folder.

Open Permission - Advanced - Ok

Select Owner - click Change.

Add Windows user - Apply - Ok. return to the previous one. Add your user (use the Add button),
check all items Allow - Apply - Ok

After that, select the folder 1.0 - export and choose where to save the .reg file, which will be the
settings file.

On the machine where you are trying to transfer user rights, start the registry editor, start => run =>
regedit

or keyboard shortcut win+r => regedit

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Famatech\RadminVPN\1.0\Registration (for x86)

or

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Famatech\RadminVPN\1.0\Registration
(for x64)

Find this branch and right-click on this folder.

Open Permission - Advanced - Ok

Select Owner - click Change.

Add Windows user - Apply - Ok. return to the previous one. Add your user (use the Add button),
check all items Allow - Apply - Ok

Then run the .reg file that was received from the administrator's computer.

Please note that two identical instances will permanently block both clients.

In addition, you can temporarily transfer rights to another participant (via the Radmin menu, right-
click to select "Give administrator rights"), which will later be able to return the rights to you.
