NFCMS Weekly Project Status Update

The Weekly Project Status Report outlines the key strategic and technical actions for the Connector Measurement System (NFCMS) over the next four weeks, including market analysis, product strategy, and sensor procurement. The team is currently at a high workload level due to simultaneous execution of strategic planning and technical phases. Key questions for the professor focus on presentation content, product quantity decisions, risk matrix review, and additional validation requirements.

Weekly Project Status Report - Normal Force

Connector Measurement System (NFCMS)

I. List of Actions for the Next Weeks (4-Week Action Plan Focus)
The following are the key strategic and technical actions scheduled for the upcoming weeks:

Category Key Activities Status/Progress Deliverable

Owner(s)

A. Strategic & Complete Comprehensive Market In Progress (Week 1 PM Team,

Planning Analysis: Finalize target market, of 4) Innovation
competition, and unique value Team
proposition of NFCMS.

Finalize Marketing & Product Planning Stage PM Team

Strategy: Define positioning,
pricing, and launch/pitch strategy.

Product Quantity Decision: Pending Inputs from PM Team

Establish preliminary Market Analysis
build/production targets for the
prototype and potential
commercialization.

Finalize Risk Management & In Progress PM Team, All

Mitigation: Define Team Leads
severity/probability for all identified
risks (e.g., procurement delays,
sensor drift) and finalize mitigation
procedures.

B. Technical Finalize Sensor Design & Decision Innovation

Execution Procurement: Confirm the 500 Confirmed/Procurem Team,

sensor (Full-Bridge) is the final Team
choice and initiate procurement of
all components per the Bill of
Materials.
Electronics Circuit Assembly & Component Electronics
Testing: Build and test the signal Arrival/Assembly Start Team
conditioning and data acquisition
circuit. Verify 100 Omega resolution
is achievable.

Final CAD & Automation Design: In Progress (Moving Automation/

data acquisition, processing, and UI
visualization.

C. Reporting & Comprehensive Presentation In Progress PM Team, All

Review Preparation: Finalize the full Team Leads
presentation and supporting
documentation addressing all recent
feedback (market, accountability,
outcomes).

Inter-Team Communication Near Completion PM Team

System Integration: Complete the
full integration of ClickUp and MS
Teams to ensure seamless progress
visibility across all five teams (FEM,
Software, Electronics,
Automation/CAD, Innovation).

II. Current Team Work Load Level

The team is currently operating at a High workload level.
● Justification: This level is necessary as we are simultaneously executing the final
strategic planning steps (Market Analysis, Risk Management) and moving into the critical
procurement and detailed design phases for the core technical components
(Sensor/Electronics and CAD/Automation). All five sub-teams have active, high-priority
deliverables this week.

III. Key Questions for Professor [Professor's Name]

We have prepared a comprehensive presentation and documentation. To ensure we are fully
aligned, we have the following questions:
1. Presentation Focus: Should the comprehensive presentation primarily focus on the
strategic/market positioning (as requested in the last feedback) or a more balanced
review of technical progress (Sensor, FEA, CAD) alongside the strategy?
2. Product Quantity Decision: Are there any university or research-specific constraints or
objectives that should influence our final 'product quantity decision' (i.e., the
scope/number of final prototype builds)?
3. Risk Matrix Review: We have developed a stakeholder and risk matrix. Would you prefer
a brief, high-level overview during the presentation, or a dedicated deep-dive discussion
to confirm our mitigation strategies are robust?
4. FEA Validation: Given that the FEM team has completed deformation analysis up to 10
N (including the 100 nm NiCr layer), are there any additional load cases or material
models you would like us to analyze for final validation?
