The course modules
1. The digital business : The first part covers digital business, digital transformation,
business models, and digital skills for staying competitive.
The second part focuses on information systems, big data, and business intelligence
used to improve operations, marketing, products, and efficiency in digital businesses.
2. The innovative business : This module focuses on what makes a business innovative.
It introduces theories about creativity, innovation, and enterprise. Students will learn
how ideas are created, implemented, and who or what kind of people or teams develop
them.
3. The responsible business : From this module, I will learn how to run a business
responsibly, with moral, professional, and personal responsibility. It will also help me
develop my personal and professional skills through self-reflection.
4. The sustainable business : From this module, I will learn about sustainability in
different business areas. It will help me understand how businesses respond to issues
like climate change, limited resources, environmental impact, and social inequality.
5. Customer acquisition and retention : From this module, I will learn about the full
customer journey — from first contact to becoming a loyal customer. It teaches
marketing strategies for attracting and keeping customers and explains why
customer retention is often more valuable than finding new ones. I will also gain
practical experience in planning marketing campaigns to attract, win, and retain
customers.
6. Managing finance and account : The aim of this module is to provide an introduction of a
range of financial and accounting skills to the business students, which will help their
understanding and managerial decision making skills. Learners will evaluate the
organisation’ financial statements, identify the principles for setting and managing budgets
and understand finance within the organisation. This module has been designed to
enhance the learner’s confidence and credibility in financial management, which will
translate into improved management skills
7. Operation and project planning : From this module, I will learn about operations,
supply chain, and project management. It will teach me how businesses manage
challenges to deliver goods and services efficiently using lean methods. I will also
improve my teamwork and communication skills while learning to plan, control, and
manage projects. The module includes tools like Gantt charts, stakeholder analysis,
risk planning, and critical path analysis to build my analytical skills.
8. The professional manager and leadership : From this module, I will learn about
management and leadership principles and how different leadership styles affect key
HR functions, including change management. I will also explore new leadership ideas
like super-leadership and learn how developing myself can help me support others.
The module encourages self-reflection to help me understand and improve my own
learning and development approach.
9. Organisational behaviour : The Organisational Behaviour module explores current
knowledge around behaviour in contemporary organisations. This module explores areas
from an individual employee and manager perspective. Students will engage with topics
such as Identity, Power, Gender, Motivation, Change and Ethics. This list is not exhaustive
but indicative only. Students will explore these topics from a critical, and in some instances,
post-structuralist perspective. The aim of the module is to equip students with a
fundamental grounding in Organisational Behaviour in order to help them develop as
managers of the future.
[Link] business communicator : From this module, I will learn how to communicate
effectively with internal and external stakeholders. It will teach me how to build
relationships, networks, and navigate the changing business environment. I will also
learn communication and HR theories and gain tools to assess and improve my own
communication skills.
11. The professional project : From the Professional Project module, I will do an
independent study where I use what I learned in other modules. I will make a
business project based on my strengths and write about why I chose it and what I
learned while creating and sharing it.
12. The strategic business : From the Strategic Business module, I will learn how to
make important business decisions at both the company level and for different
departments. I will also learn how to check if a strategy is working well and use this
knowledge to improve future decisions and help the company succeed ..
Which module is your favrt and why ?
My favorite module is Innovative Business because it closely connects to my future goal.
This module taught me how creative ideas can be developed into real products or services
and how teamwork plays a big role in making innovation successful. It also helped me think
differently and find creative solutions to problems. Since my long-term goal is to start my
own socially responsible business in Bangladesh, the skills I learned from this module —
especially about innovation and sustainability — will directly help me achieve that dream.
What facilities or features of the university attracted you most?
I am attracted to the University of Wolverhampton because of its modern, student-friendly
facilities that make learning enjoyable and practical. The IT labs and technology centres give
great support for hands-on learning, while the library and study areas make it easy to
research and work with others. I also value the sports and recreational facilities, which
show the university cares about students’ well-being. Overall, these features create an
environment where I can grow academically and personally while enjoying my time as a
student.
What do you know about the *UK education system*?
The UK education system is known for its high academic standards and international
recognition, which means degrees are respected worldwide. It focuses on independent
learning and critical thinking, helping students develop both knowledge and practical
skills. Most bachelor’s programs are three years long, and master’s programs are usually
one year, which is shorter than in many countries. The system also offers modern facilities
and strong student support, making it easier for students to succeed academically and
personally.
What do you know about the city of Wolverhampton?
I know that Wolverhampton is a vibrant and diverse city in the West Midlands with a
population of around 281,000, of which about 45% are from ethnic minority backgrounds. It
has a rich industrial history in manufacturing and engineering. The city is well connected,
with Birmingham just 19 minutes away by train, and it is affordable for students, ranked 5th
cheapest in the UK for accommodation. These features make it a great place to study, live,
and grow personally.
Why should the university issue you a CAS?
I believe the university should issue me a CAS because I meet all the required conditions
and am fully prepared to study in the UK. I have an unconditional offer, meaning I have
completed all academic and English-language requirements. I understand that the CAS is
essential for my student visa application, and without it, I cannot apply for a UK visa. I am
ready to start my course on time and am committed to fulfilling all my responsibilities as a
student. Receiving a CAS will allow me to proceed with my visa and focus fully on my
studies.
How will you handle cultural differences in the UK?
I know the UK has a different culture, but I see it as a chance to learn and grow. I’ve always
respected people from different backgrounds, and I try to understand their way of life. I also
interact with people from other countries online, so I already have some idea about cultural
differences.
When I go to the UK, I’ll adjust by observing, learning local customs, and joining university
activities to make new friends. I believe being respectful, kind, and open-minded will help
me fit in easily.
How will you handle studying fully in English?
I’m confident I can study fully in English because I’ve already been learning in English since
school. I also prepared for the IELTS exam, which helped me improve my reading, writing,
listening, and speaking skills. I regularly watch English videos, read articles, and practice
speaking to build my fluency.
Studying in an English-speaking country will help me improve even more, and I’m ready to
adapt and work hard to understand everything clearly.
What is your sponsor’s occupation and monthly income?
My education will be sponsored by my mother. Although my father has passed away, he left
behind savings, property, and land to secure our family’s future. My mother receives a
regular monthly income of around BDT 80,000–100,000, which will be used to fully cover
my tuition fees and living expenses while studying in the UK. I can provide bank statements
and documents to show that these funds are available and sufficient for my studies.

There are also social learning spaces where students can study and relax with friends using
free Wi-Fi. In university accommodation, every room has internet access. The university

Introduce yourself : My name is Hasan Mahmud, and I’m from Sylhet, Bangladesh. I
completed my SSC in 2020 from Danaram High School with a GPA of 4.22, and my HSC in
2022 from Sylhet Science and Technology College with a GPA of 4.17. My academic
background was in Science, which helped me develop analytical and problem-solving skills.

Management Institute (CMI), meaning I’ll graduate with both a degree and a professional
qualification — something that Huddersfield and Sunderland don’t offer.

and teaching, showing its strong career outcomes for students.
