GROUP ASSIGNMENT I
Instruction: Read the notes on Budget carefully; individually first and take notes. Then, form
a group of three members and take at least two hours to discuss on each topic. After that, read
the questions given below carefully and discuss on each question thoroughly. Finally, write the
answers for each. Your answers should be hand written.
When you do this group work, consider the following:
You should prepare a cover page with at least title, names and IDs of members;
Your hand writing should be eligible and clear; and you should avoid spelling error;
Your group should have only five members and unless you inform your instructor and
allowed to, you are not allowed to form a group of less or more than five students;
Your answers should be well-organized and original (not direct copies of the material
provided or copies from other students);
You should submit your assignment in a week.
Remember that you will have a presentation by randomly chosen group member.

9. Differentiate in detail the Modern Approach to Budgeting and the Traditional
Approach to Budgeting.
10. Discuss the nature, and the merits and demerits of Performance Budgeting,
Planning-Programming Budgeting, and Zero-Base Budgeting.
