CHAPTER ONE
3
Why Dream?

…why Dream?

Across the corridors of wisdom and knowledge is

this strange phenomenon, an issue that brings
chaos, confusion, and a state of ignorance and
imbalance if I can say is the topic of dreams. From
science to religion, psychology to common sense,
and even across occultist groups and secret
societies. This is a genuine and spiritual attempt to
edify the body of Christ and humanity at large and
bring a sense of confidence with audacity about
the issue of dreams. It is dangerous to live on this
earth without accurate and profitable knowledge
about certain issues we face in life. It leads to early
demise and loss of multimillion opportunities.
Therefore, it is safe to say that knowledge is vital
in every sphere of life, and for that matter the right
knowledge. Thus, in the book of Hosea, we are
enlightened thereof.

Hosea 4:6
My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou
hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou
shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of
thy God, I will also forget thy children.

It is important that the information is right, and

also that it comes from the right source. Scientists

4
Why Dream?

look confused, some religious entities look

confused, while the learned have at certain points
in time totally ignored the issue of dreams.
Fortunately, or unfortunately for us as human
beings, it is part of our life and plays a very
significant role in how most destinies are shaped.
It will obviously be a herculean task if I try to talk
about how families and institutions have been
destroyed, or not benefited because of a lack of
understanding of the topic of dreams.

One of the founding fathers of psychology once

said that
―The interpretation of dreams is the royal road to
a knowledge of the unconscious activities of the
mind‖. - Sigmund Freud
Knowledge can be acquired from a lot of sources
and different people, but God is the right source
for every piece of information you will use or
adhere to in life. As He is the uncreated creator of
the universe it is clear that only what he reveals
and teaches concerning dreams can be the truth,
other bodies might have their say about dreams
but only the omniscient God can have the final
say. His council on any matter is yet to fail, and the
guidelines for the interpretation of dreams are
clear in His Word.
Dreams qualify as a channel for spiritual
encounters. Many have had divine visitations from

5
Why Dream?

the Lord Jesus Christ himself through dreams,

revealing himself to individuals about his true
personality and dominion.

Countless people have seen Him in their dreams,

and a lot of people pray and hope for such an
encounter. It is possible for you to also have this
experience.
Could dreams have any special meaning, or is it
just a figment of the mind‘s imagination?
I believe that as you read this book, you will clear
the doubt and your spirit will be prepared for this
encounter. Therefore, I pray that this book will be
a channel for this experience like never before.
May mysteries be unveiled to you in your dreams,
and may God reveal his unending love for you and
everything that concerns you. It is possible and so
be expectant!

In the scriptures, all those who had dreams were in

a state of sleep. Meaning that dreams occur in our
sleep and nothing else. This is a no-brainer! No
one has a dream while they are fully awake. So,
dreaming occurs in the subconscious state.
There are 21 dreams recorded in the Bible, of
which 10 happened in the book of Genesis alone.
What better way to tackle the issue of dreams than
starting from the book of Beginnings (Genesis)?

6
Why Dream?

The law of first mention in hermeneutics

encourages us to derive the meaning of a term or
word from the context in which it was first used,
in this case, Genesis 20:3.
Before we go to Genesis, let‘s look at a scenario in

1 Samuel 28:6 King James Version (KJV)

6 And when Saul enquired of the Lord, the Lord answered
him not, neither by dreams, nor by Urim, nor by prophets.

Also, in
1 Samuel 28:15 King James Version (KJV)
15 And Samuel said to Saul, Why hast thou disquieted
me, to bring me up? And Saul answered, I am sore
distressed; for the Philistines make war against me, and
God is departed from me, and answereth me no more,
neither by prophets, nor by dreams: therefore I have called
thee, that thou mayest make known unto me what I shall
do.

So, we know that God speaks to mankind through

many ways, including a still small voice, Urim,
inner witness, his servants, the bible, sermons,
songs, symbols, tokens, situations, dreams, etc. in
these scriptures we find out that Saul enquired of
the Lord, and he expected the Lord to speak
through a dream.
Dreaming is one of the potent means by which
God speaks to mankind. In the above scriptures,

7
Why Dream?

we learn that not only does God speak to His

people through dreams, but whenever they wanted
to enquire of the Lord, dreaming was one of the
ways by which God responded. Therefore, it is
likely that some of the things you have asked God
about might be answered through your dreams.
You must be skillful and led by the Holy Spirit in
order to make a proper and scriptural
understanding of whatever God is communicating
to you in a dream. If not, you will end up doing
more harm to yourself than good as many have
done already. This is why the body of Christ must
understand the mystery of dreams properly.

I believe that knowing this alone will help you with

certain issues that you want answers for. God can
and will speak to you through dreams, so be
sensitive and be spiritual. Don‘t lose hope or get
discouraged in your dreams because it has not
been beneficial yet to you, or others have made a
mockery, or taken it lightly. It could be the
solution to something great! Your dreams are not
always normal, God could be speaking to you.
A lot of people normally say, ―God doesn‘t speak
to me‖ or ―God hasn‘t spoken to me before‖. I‘m
sure you might have heard it before or you have
said it yourself. Normally the issue is not that God
hasn‘t spoken to them, but rather that the
individual has not received the right training to

8
Why Dream?

understand when and how God has been speaking

to him or her.
If God speaks through dreams then we are about
to find out how to benefit from this wonderful gift
that has been given to us freely.

Job 33:15 King James Version (KJV)

15 In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep
falleth upon men, in slumberings upon the bed;

By now you are aware and should be convinced

that dreams occur only when we sleep. Dreams are
also sometimes referred to as a vision of the night
among certain religious circles. Either when the
sleep is deep, just when you are sleeping, or just
about to wake up. These are the different stages
where men have their dreams, and it is likely
different for each person. It is important for you
to know when you normally dream among these
three sessions. You should also monitor yourself
to know which kind of your dreams normally
manifest physically. This is not supposed to be a
doctrine, but a guide to better understand how
God speaks to you as an individual and how your
dreams play out. Many have taken this for granted,
and it has weakened and slowed their relationship
and conversation with God respectively.
So, when it's night and you are about to go to bed,
you must understand that you don‘t just go to

9
Why Dream?

sleep because you are tired, even though it is one

of the ways our body recovers from the daily
activities we engage in. Whenever we go to sleep,
we engage one of the realms in which God
communicates with us. You only trivialize it to
your own detriment.
When you go to sleep a lot of things are revealed
to you, secrets, mysteries, keys, solutions, and
encounters. Spiritual gifts and mantles are
transferred in dreams, as you go to sleep from now
on don‘t just go to sleep, be expectant like never
before. You can access issues of the past present
and future, as the Holy Spirit permits. This is also
the place where destinies are revealed, shaped, or
transformed.
Normally, God is not able to get our attention
because we are busy with so many things, we are
usually busy with family, work, finance, education,
business meetings, ministry, travel plans, etc. As
important as these things might be, they always
have the tendency of taking our attention and
fellowship with God during the day. So, the Lord
in his wisdom makes up by speaking to us in our
dreams. Personally, I can boldly say that there are
many times when the Holy Spirit speaks to His
people while they are awake and conscious
because it is His nature to speak and His desire to
communicate with all of us, but child of God there
will be times that you will have to dream.

10
Why Dream?

Our dreams are used by God to also break down

our walls of self-defense. It could be religious, or
even professional walls that have been raised.
Since dreams occur in our subconscious, it
bypasses our stubbornness and walls of defense, to
communicate the mind of God to us.
Let us now go to the book of Genesis and dig into
to scriptures.

11
Why Dream?

CHAPTER TWO
In the beginning
A dream is a series of thoughts, images, or
emotions occurring during sleep as defined by the
Miriam Webster dictionary. Meaning that
whenever you go to sleep, one of the things that
are expected to happen to you is a dream!
In the book of

Genesis 15:12-21
12 As the sun was setting, Abram fell into a deep
sleep, and a thick and dreadful darkness came over
him. 13 Then the Lord said to him, ―Know for
certain that for four hundred years your
descendants will be strangers in a country not their
own and that they will be enslaved and mistreated
there. 14 But I will punish the nation they serve as
slaves, and afterward they will come out with great
possessions. 15 You, however, will go to your
ancestors in peace and be buried at a good old age.
16 In the fourth generation your descendants will
come back here, for the sin of the Amorites has
not yet reached its full measure.‖

12
Why Dream?

17 When the sun had set and darkness had fallen,

a smoking firepot with a blazing torch appeared
and passed between the pieces. 18 On that day the
Lord made a covenant with Abram and said, ―To
your descendants I give this land, from the
Wadi[e] of Egypt to the great river, the
Euphrates— 19 the land of the Kenites,
Kenizzites, Kadmonites, 20 Hittites, Perizzites,
Rephaites, 21 Amorites, Canaanites, Girgashites
and Jebusites.‖

We see Abram fall into a deep sleep likely to have

been caused by God. In this sleep, God reveals
not only Himself to him, but things concerning
Abram, his death, the land to be inherited, and the
state of his descendants but not forgetting how
they were supposed to come out of bondage. In
this dream, Abram is deliberately knocked out, for
God to communicate to him.
Dreams don‘t just happen for the fun of it.
Normally we are ignorant of what God is
communicating to us or we just didn‘t get the
message. A dream is the way God has chosen to
reveal issues to us. In order for us to not interfere
with His message he knocks us out completely.
There is a powerful revelation in the book of Joel,
and it reads.

13
Why Dream?

Joel 2:28
28 ―And afterward,
I will pour out my Spirit on all people.
Your sons and daughters will prophesy,

your old men will dream dreams,

your young men will see visions.

There is a significant connection between the

pouring of the spirit on mankind and how it
affects their dreams, the dream of mankind is
prophetic in nature, but when that individual has
allowed the influence of the Holy Spirit in his life,
he becomes a dangerous weapon in the hands of
God. We are about to decode the mystery of
dreams.
In the law of first mention, hermeneutically
speaking, Genesis 20:3 is the first time the word
dream is recorded in the scriptures. The context of
this word will help us to understand quite a few
things.

Some time ago, long before the nation of Israel

settled between the Mediterranean and the Jordan
River, the patriarch Abraham sojourned
throughout the territory with his wife Sarah.

14
Why Dream?

Abraham, the ancestor of the Jews was a rich man

so it‘s not like he and Sarah just stopped at a
Holiday Inn late at night before leaving at first
light the next day. When Abraham moved to a
new city, the leadership of that city took note.
There was a big problem though: Sarah his
beloved was beautiful (fair to look upon). And
some of the city leaders had enough power to take
whatever they wanted by force, regardless of
whether it made Abraham happy or not in this
case. If a king was interested in anything, in this
case, a beautiful lady, all he had to do was just take
what he wanted. Or better still murder her
husband and take the woman for himself.
Definitely, this will be a rare case in this
generation. You must understand that in a
kingdom, basically everything in the kingdom was
owned by the king. Including the people. A proper
monopoly of resources and everything. There are
nations currently where any child born in such a
nation belongs to the nation and the King or
leader. The child, therefore, gains a new
nationality. This is how things worked, and
Abraham understood this obviously. It was a
strong autocratic rule. The decision of the king is
final. But just watch how God uses a dream in this
scenario.

15
Why Dream?

So, when Abraham makes his way to Gerar, he‘s

concerned that his wife is so attractive that Gerar‘s
king, Abimelech, will kill him just to be with her.
Abraham is very aware and conceives a backup
plan though, his plan is to tell everyone that Sarah
is his sister.
It turns out, Abimelech is now very interested in
Sarah his wife. He takes Sarah into his harem, but
before he goes anywhere near the woman, God
comes to him in a dream.

Genesis 20:1-18
20 Now Abraham moved on from there into the
region of the Negev and lived between Kadesh
and Shur. For a while he stayed in Gerar, 2 and
there Abraham said of his wife Sarah, ―She is my
sister.‖ Then Abimelek king of Gerar sent for
Sarah and took her.
3 But God came to Abimelek in a dream one night
and said to him, ―You are as good as dead because
of the woman you have taken; she is a married
woman.‖
4 Now Abimelek had not gone near her, so he
said, ―Lord, will you destroy an innocent nation? 5
Did he not say to me, ‗She is my sister,‘ and didn‘t

16
Why Dream?

she also say, ‗He is my brother‘? I have done this

with a clear conscience and clean hands.‖
6 Then God said to him in the dream, ―Yes, I
know you did this with a clear conscience, and so I
have kept you from sinning against me. That is
why I did not let you touch her. 7 Now return the
man‘s wife, for he is a prophet, and he will pray
for you and you will live. But if you do not return
her, you may be sure that you and all who belong
to you will die.‖
8 Early the next morning Abimelek summoned all
his officials, and when he told them all that had
happened, they were very much afraid. 9 Then
Abimelek called Abraham in and said, ―What have
you done to us? How have I wronged you that you
have brought such great guilt upon me and my
kingdom? You have done things to me that should
never be done.‖ 10 And Abimelek asked
Abraham, ―What was your reason for doing this?‖
11 Abraham replied, ―I said to myself, ‗There is
surely no fear of God in this place, and they will
kill me because of my wife.‘ 12 Besides, she really
is my sister, the daughter of my father though not
of my mother; and she became my wife. 13 And
when God had me wander from my father‘s
household, I said to her, ‗This is how you can

17
Why Dream?

show your love to me: Everywhere we go, say of

me, ―He is my brother.‖‘‖
14 Then Abimelek brought sheep and cattle and
male and female slaves and gave them to
Abraham, and he returned Sarah his wife to him.
15 And Abimelek said, ―My land is before you; live
wherever you like.‖
16 To Sarah he said, ―I am giving your brother a
thousand shekels[a] of silver. This is to cover the
offense against you before all who are with you;
you are completely vindicated.‖
17 Then Abraham prayed to God, and God healed
Abimelek, his wife and his female slaves so they
could have children again, 18 for the Lord had
kept all the women in Abimelek‘s household from
conceiving because of Abraham‘s wife Sarah.

So, it is clear here that unbelievers who are not

saved also dream. Secondly, God speaks to
unbelievers, and what He tells them varies
according to his plan. Dreaming is not for
Christians only, that is why there are many
testimonies of unbelievers seeing Jesus Christ in
their dreams. This is how some become born
again. It is amazing to see how God jealously
protects his own, in this case, Abraham. He sees

18
Why Dream?

not only Abraham as the apple of His eye but all

believers. You are extremely precious to God, He
doesn‘t take you or your loved ones for granted.
He will do everything to protect you and
everything that concerns you. Even if it has to be
in a dream, our God is willing and more than
ready to step onto the scene and warn people on
your behalf.
May God appear on the scene for you and your
family in time of need. Even if He has to warn
people in their dream. Therefore, may Elohim
warn all of them that are contracted to attack you
or cause you pain. Amen!

This is still happening in our days, many people

are being warned on behalf of God‘s people. In
our ministry, a couple of ladies started spreading
rumors about a servant of God that he was fake
and wasn‘t of God. This ungodly act continued for
some time until they had a dream where a
heavenly being literally warned them not to speak
evil about the servant of God again. I had read it
in the bible, but now I saw it play before my eyes.
I was excited! I‘ve seen and heard a lot of similar
issues since then.

19
Why Dream?

It‘s probably worth noting here also that when this

goes down, Sarah is about 89 years old.
Mesopotamian Pilates is one of the world‘s lost
treasures.
We know that dreams came into play only after
the fall of man, it didn‘t use to be so. Before, He
will communicate face to face or personally to
mankind. He continues to communicate
personally, but we have an addition.

Do you know that dreams are one of the gates by

which we access the supernatural?

Jacob‘s ladder

Genesis 28:12
10 Jacob left Beersheba and set out for Harran. 11
When he reached a certain place, he stopped for
the night because the sun had set. Taking one of
the stones there, he put it under his head and lay
down to sleep. 12 He had a dream in which he saw
a stairway resting on the earth, with its top
reaching to heaven, and the angels of God were
ascending and descending on it. 13 There above
it[c] stood the Lord, and he said: ―I am the Lord,
the God of your father Abraham and the God of

20
Why Dream?

Isaac. I will give you and your descendants the

land on which you are lying. 14 Your descendants
will be like the dust of the earth, and you will
spread out to the west and to the east, to the north
and to the south. All peoples on earth will be
blessed through you and your offspring.[d] 15 I
am with you and will watch over you wherever you
go, and I will bring you back to this land. I will not
leave you until I have done what I have promised
you.‖

16 When Jacob awoke from his sleep, he thought,

―Surely the Lord is in this place, and I was not
aware of it.‖ 17 He was afraid and said, ―How
awesome is this place! This is none other than the
house of God; this is the gate of heaven.‖
18 Early the next morning Jacob took the stone he
had placed under his head and set it up as a pillar
and poured oil on top of it. 19 He called that place
Bethel,[e] though the city used to be called Luz.
20 Then Jacob made a vow, saying, ―If God will
be with me and will watch over me on this journey
I am taking and will give me food to eat and
clothes to wear 21 so that I return safely to my
father‘s household, then the Lord[f] will be my
God 22 and[g] this stone that I have set up as a

21
Why Dream?

pillar will be God‘s house, and of all that you give

me I will give you a tenth.‖

Jacob‘s twin brother wants to kill him—though to

be fair, Jacob did just cheat him out of the family
blessing. So, Jacob‘s now on the run. He stops to
sleep one night at a certain place which is
intentionally not mentioned by the bible, this I
strongly believe is done so because God doesn‘t
want us to tie our dreams to a specific place even
though certain places can affect our dreams. I
hope it‘s clear! So, he dreams of a great stairway
stretching from earth to heaven, with divine beings
moving up and down.
We now see how God uses a dream to
communicate to his servant who He truly is, and
how blessed his generation will be. Looking at this
scenario, is it possible that you have ignored or
even not discerned what God revealed concerning
you?
God is revealing Himself to Jacob in a dream. He
now goes further to address a fear that Jacob had,
he was running from the fierce vengeance of his
brother, but God uses a dream to comfort him by
telling him that He will be with him always. Jesus
made this same promise to us in the last chapter of
the book of Matthew.

22
Why Dream?

Matthew 28:20
20 and teaching them to obey everything I have
commanded you. And surely I am with you always,
to the very end of the age.‖

So, you don‘t have to dream about God telling you

the same thing. He has promised you of His
support, but I believe there will be certain specific
and personal fears that He will have to show you
in a dream and comfort you. If you are such a
person, I pray that God shows up for you on time!
Be comforted, for the Lord is with you.

Jacob is then promised that he will indeed return

home and that his descendants will possess the
land of Canaan.

23
Why Dream?

24
Why Dream?

CHAPTER THREE
Prophetic direction

Genesis 31:10–13
10 ―In breeding season I once had a dream in which I
looked up and saw that the male goats mating with the
flock were streaked, speckled or spotted. 11 The angel of
God said to me in the dream, ‗Jacob.‘ I answered, ‗Here I
am.‘ 12 And he said, ‗Look up and see that all the male
goats mating with the flock are streaked, speckled or
spotted, for I have seen all that Laban has been doing to
you. 13 I am the God of Bethel, where you anointed a
pillar and where you made a vow to me. Now leave this
land at once and go back to your native land.‘‖

Jacob leaves for the land of his relative Laban,

where he marries Laban‘s daughters and works
with his herds. We all know that Laban is a tricky
guy. He takes advantage of Jacob on several
occasions. However, God still provides for Jacob
as promised, so much so that Jacob‘s wealth
begins to overtake Laban‘s. Laban‘s sons aren‘t

25
Why Dream?

too happy with this, and Jacob senses that he is

not among friends.
God then comes to Jacob in a dream. The dream
recaps Laban‘s mistreatment of Jacob and shows
that God has been providing for Jacob despite
Laban‘s schemes. The dream‘s message is straight
to the point and clear:

IT‘S TIME TO GO HOME!

How specific can a prophetic word in a dream be,
child of God? Jacob is told in a dream what to do,
where to go, what time to go. So, dreams are a way
in which God tells His people what they have to
do concerning a situation. His will for Jacob was
not revealed in a book, by a prophet, rhema, or
vision even though all these are ways God speaks
to us. It‘s a dream He uses to communicate and I
couldn‘t say it loud enough. Stop trivializing your
dreams. It‘s a powerful tool. Go back to those
dreams and even the ones you will be having from
now on and see if there is a message in it for you.
Hallelujah.

Laban‘s warning
Genesis 31:24
24 Then God came to Laban the Aramean in a dream at
night and said to him, ―Be careful not to say anything to
Jacob, either good or bad.‖

26
Why Dream?

So as Jacob takes off with his flocks and family,

Laban‘s daughters and grandchildren. Laban isn‘t
very happy about this, so he pursues Jacob. But
before he catches up to Jacob, God comes to
Laban in a dream. God warns Laban not to say
anything good or bad to Jacob just let him go. Just
like the case of Abimelek, one might say.
Again, God is not afraid to confront those with an
evil agenda on your behalf. He has done it before
and he can do I again. May God avenge your case.

Still in this chapter we now want to look at

Joseph‘s grain and stars.

Genesis 37:1–10
Jacob lived in the land where his father had stayed, the land
of Canaan. 2 This is the account of Jacob‘s family line.
Joseph, a young man of seventeen, was tending the flocks
with his brothers, the sons of Bilhah and the sons of Zilpah,
his father‘s wives, and he brought their father a bad report
about them. 3 Now Israel loved Joseph more than any of
his other sons, because he had been born to him in his old
age; and he made an ornate[a] robe for him. 4 When his
brothers saw that their father loved him more than any of
them, they hated him and could not speak a kind word to
him. 5 Joseph had a dream, and when he told it to his
brothers, they hated him all the more. 6 He said to them,
―Listen to this dream I had: 7 We were binding sheaves of

27
Why Dream?

grain out in the field when suddenly my sheaf rose and stood
upright, while your sheaves gathered around mine and
bowed down to it.‖ 8 His brothers said to him, ―Do you
intend to reign over us? Will you actually rule us?‖ And
they hated him all the more because of his dream and what
he had said. 9 Then he had another dream, and he told it
to his brothers. ―Listen,‖ he said, ―I had another dream,
and this time the sun and moon and eleven stars were
bowing down to me.‖ 10 When he told his father as well as
his brothers, his father rebuked him and said, ―What is
this dream you had? Will your mother and I and your
brothers actually come and bow down to the ground before
you?‖ 11 His brothers were jealous of him, but his father
kept the matter in mind.

Jacob‘s favorite son Joseph has two dreams that

throw a wrench in the family dynamic. In the first
dream, Joseph and his brothers are gathering grain
into sheaves. Joseph‘s sheaf stands upright, but the
brother‘s bundles of grain bow down to Joseph‘s
sheaf. Before I even move on, you must
understand that not everyone has to hear your
dream. There are a lot of envious people around
who can kill dreams and be a danger to you and
your future blessings. You must know how to deal
with them in love.
Anyone who takes these golden nuggets for
granted is at a high risk of being attacked both
physically and spiritually. This is pure truth. They

28
Why Dream?

could be friends, colleagues, or family members,

just be led as to who you share your dreams with.
They should be people God leads you to, can be
trusted, and are spiritually inclined without the
spirit or character of envy. Do you realize that
your destiny, future, and calling will most likely be
revealed to you in a dream?
This particular dream aggravates Joseph‘s brothers.
Obviously, they are wondering if Joseph the
favorite son, is now thinking he‘s going to rule
over the rest of them.
Then Joseph has another dream. This time, the
sun, moon, and eleven stars bow down to him.
This peeves his brothers and his father. ―Kid? You
think we‘re all going to bow to you?‖ They forgot
God's ways are not the ways of man, and that He
chooses who he blesses.

See how it is fulfilled without fail in Genesis 42:6–

9.
6 Now Joseph was the governor of the land, the person who
sold grain to all its people. So, when Joseph‘s brothers
arrived, they bowed down to him with their faces to the
ground. 7 As soon as Joseph saw his brothers, he recognized
them, but he pretended to be a stranger and spoke harshly
to them. ―Where do you come from?‖ he asked. ―From the
land of Canaan,‖ they replied, ―to buy food.‖ 8 Although
Joseph recognized his brothers, they did not recognize him. 9
Then he remembered his dreams about them and said to

29
Why Dream?

them, ―You are spies! You have come to see where our land
is unprotected.‖

There is God! And he speaks through dreams!

The cupbearer‘s grapes…

Genesis 40:9–15
9 So the chief cupbearer told Joseph his dream. He said to
him, ―In my dream I saw a vine in front of me, 10 and on
the vine were three branches. As soon as it budded, it
blossomed, and its clusters ripened into grapes. 11
Pharaoh‘s cup was in my hand, and I took the grapes,
squeezed them into Pharaoh‘s cup and put the cup in his
hand.‖ 12 ―This is what it means,‖ Joseph said to him.
―The three branches are three days. 13 Within three days
Pharaoh will lift up your head and restore you to your
position, and you will put Pharaoh‘s cup in his hand, just
as you used to do when you were his cupbearer. 14 But
when all goes well with you, remember me and show me
kindness; mention me to Pharaoh and get me out of this
prison. 15 I was forcibly carried off from the land of the
Hebrews, and even here I have done nothing to deserve being
put in a dungeon.‖

Now we already know that through a series of

unfortunate events, Joseph finds himself in prison.
He meets two other prisoners who had troubling
and confusing dreams: Pharaoh‘s former
cupbearer and former baker.

30
Why Dream?

The cupbearer dreams of a grapevine with three

branches, which he harvests and presses into
Pharaoh‘s cup. The three branches represent three
days between the dream and the cupbearer‘s
restoration to Pharaoh‘s court. Therefore, without
prophetic directions or actions, some of your
dreams will just happen naturally with any
influence of man. In this, we see the jealous
attribute of our God. He allows some dreams to
manifest without human influence so no one takes
His glory. He is a jealous God and He wants that
word concerning you to be fulfilled without the
intervention of man. However, it‘s not always the
case. Men are important on earth, and He uses
them for His will at His discretion. You must
understand that this is not to encourage you to
dishonor men but to bring you a different
perspective of the operations of God Almighty.
Don‘t disregard the men in your space of influence
and around the world. They matter.

Deuteronomy 6:15
for the Lord your God, who is among you, is a jealous
God and his anger will burn against you, and he will
destroy you from the face of the land.

31
Why Dream?

The baker’s baskets…

Genesis 40:16–19
16 When the chief baker saw that Joseph had given a
favorable interpretation, he said to Joseph, ―I too had a
dream: On my head were three baskets of bread.[a] 17 In
the top basket were all kinds of baked goods for Pharaoh,
but the birds were eating them out of the basket on my
head.‖ 18 ―This is what it means,‖ Joseph said. ―The three
baskets are three days. 19 Within three days Pharaoh will
lift off your head and impale your body on a pole. And the
birds will eat away your flesh.‖

We see that the baker has a dream, too. In the

dream, he carries three bread baskets on his head
but the birds eat the bread from them.

Another nugget to keep on dreams is that not all

dreams are good ones. They are God's way of
telling us what to do and pray against.
The three baskets represent another three days, at
the end of which Pharaoh beheads the baker, and
the birds eat the baker‘s flesh.
Dreams will reveal events that are bad and
destructive to God's purpose and our lives, the
believer should know how to effectively and
fervently engage in prayer to avert such dreams
from happening, or else the worst can be
expected. Through prayer, the plans of the devil

32
Why Dream?

and evil men can be destroyed and even turned

around for our good and the glory of the Lord.
Child of God don‘t sit down idle till a bad dream
you had comes to pass and then you wish you had
done something about it.
Rise up now and confront those bad dreams of
death, sickness, missed opportunities, disasters,
and all kinds of losses in prayer. Your prayer has
every power needed to change such casualties,
remember that prayer will be the meeting place
where God will give you specific directions which
will stop or destroy these things from happening.
Dreams have been made available to us to enforce
good things and destroy bath things. Take action
now. Don‘t delay again, and see the salvation of
the Lord displayed before you.
So many issues have been prevented in our
ministry through dreams and persistent prayer.
The body of Christ is equipped to handle satanic
onslaughts of any kind. I pray for you as you read,
that every satanic agenda against your life, family,
and loved one be aborted and destroyed! Let it not
happen, and Jehovah God will step in on time as
you pray! Let the attacks be scattered! Abolished
and overruled by the divine authority of God and
His Word! I command the attack to SCATTER!
SCATTER!! SCATTER!!! Amen.

33
Why Dream?

Pharaoh’s cows and grain

Let me encourage you to read this long text of
scripture, it‘s only a genuine attempt to prevent the
distraction of now going to look for a bible or try
to recollect the story you might already know and
miss key points or the entire message at large.
However, you can still get your bible!

Genesis 41:1-32
When two full years had passed, Pharaoh had a dream: He
was standing by the Nile, 2 when out of the river there came
up seven cows, sleek and fat, and they grazed among the
reeds. 3 After them, seven other cows, ugly and gaunt, came
up out of the Nile and stood beside those on the riverbank.
4 And the cows that were ugly and gaunt ate up the seven
sleek, fat cows. Then Pharaoh woke up. 5 He fell asleep
again and had a second dream: Seven heads of grain,
healthy and good, were growing on a single stalk. 6 After
them, seven other heads of grain sprouted—thin and
scorched by the east wind. 7 The thin heads of grain
swallowed up the seven healthy, full heads. Then Pharaoh
woke up; it had been a dream. 8 In the morning his mind
was troubled, so he sent for all the magicians and wise men
of Egypt. Pharaoh told them his dreams, but no one could
interpret them for him.

9 Then the chief cupbearer said to Pharaoh, ―Today I am

reminded of my shortcomings. 10 Pharaoh was once angry
with his servants, and he imprisoned me and the chief baker

34
Why Dream?

in the house of the captain of the guard. 11 Each of us had

a dream the same night, and each dream had a meaning of
its own. 12 Now a young Hebrew was there with us, a
servant of the captain of the guard. We told him our
dreams, and he interpreted them for us, giving each man the
interpretation of his dream. 13 And things turned out
exactly as he interpreted them to us: I was restored to my
position, and the other man was impaled.‖ 14 So Pharaoh
sent for Joseph, and he was quickly brought from the
dungeon. When he had shaved and changed his clothes, he
came before Pharaoh.

15 Pharaoh said to Joseph, ―I had a dream, and no one

can interpret it. But I have heard it said of you that when
you hear a dream you can interpret it.‖ 16 ―I cannot do it,‖
Joseph replied to Pharaoh, ―but God will give Pharaoh the
answer he desires.‖ 17 Then Pharaoh said to Joseph, ―In
my dream I was standing on the bank of the Nile, 18 when
out of the river there came up seven cows, fat and sleek, and
they grazed among the reeds. 19 After them, seven other
cows came up—scrawny and very ugly and lean. I had
never seen such ugly cows in all the land of Egypt. 20 The
lean, ugly cows ate up the seven fat cows that came up first.
21 But even after they ate them, no one could tell that they
had done so; they looked just as ugly as before. Then I woke
up.

22 ―In my dream I saw seven heads of grain, full and good,

growing on a single stalk. 23 After them, seven other heads

35
Why Dream?

sprouted—withered and thin and scorched by the east wind.

24 The thin heads of grain swallowed up the seven good
heads. I told this to the magicians, but none of them could
explain it to me.‖ 25 Then Joseph said to Pharaoh, ―The
dreams of Pharaoh are one and the same. God has revealed
to Pharaoh what he is about to do. 26 The seven good cows
are seven years, and the seven good heads of grain are seven
years; it is one and the same dream. 27 The seven lean, ugly
cows that came up afterward are seven years, and so are the
seven worthless heads of grain scorched by the east wind:
They are seven years of famine. 28 ―It is just as I said to
Pharaoh: God has shown Pharaoh what he is about to do.
29 Seven years of great abundance are coming throughout
the land of Egypt, 30 but seven years of famine will follow
them. Then all the abundance in Egypt will be forgotten,
and the famine will ravage the land. 31 The abundance in
the land will not be remembered, because the famine that
follows it will be so severe. 32 The reason the dream was
given to Pharaoh in two forms is that the matter has been
firmly decided by God, and God will do it soon.

First of all, I will like us to recognize that there are

verbal and non-verbal dreams, this particular
dream clearly falls under non-verbal dreams.
Simply meaning that no voice is heard in the
dream. Both verbal and non-verbal dreams are still
channels of communication, nothing is lost. It‘s
just better when communication is made, to take
away certain levels of doubt.

36
Why Dream?

Child of God, in this text of scripture we see that

the first statement made by Joseph is striking and
humbling at the same time. He says…

16 ―I cannot do it,‖ Joseph replied to Pharaoh, ―but God

will give Pharaoh the answer he desires.‖
This is important, interpretation of dreams is not
possible without the influence of the Holy Spirit.
This statement should take away any sense of
pride from us whenever God enables us to
understand a dream. It is only the giver of the
dream that can interpret it accurately! Quote me
anywhere.
So, Pharaoh has two disturbing dreams. In one,
seven fat cows are devoured by seven scrawny
ones. In another seven plump ears of grain are
devoured by seven thin ones.
Only the prisoner Joseph can interpret this dream
riddle: Egypt is destined to have seven years of
good harvest, which will be followed by seven
years of devastating famine. I believe God gave
this dream to Pharaoh at this particular time
because he knew the young dreamer boy was there
to be used to interpret it to the glory of God. It
was all a wonderful setup by God. His
omniscience is displayed at best! A dream is used
by God to stop a worldwide famine. Buts it's just a
dream, how is it revealing such information about
the future and the incoming discomfort?

37
Why Dream?

Pharaoh is wise enough to understand the

importance of dreams and how divinity was telling
him what to expect. Dreams cannot be ignored.

But hold on, that‘s not all. Now the prophetic

direction is clearly put out.

33 ―And now let Pharaoh look for a discerning and wise

man and put him in charge of the land of Egypt. 34 Let
Pharaoh appoint commissioners over the land to take a fifth
of the harvest of Egypt during the seven years of abundance.
35 They should collect all the food of these good years that
are coming and store up the grain under the authority of
Pharaoh, to be kept in the cities for food. 36 This food
should be held in reserve for the country, to be used during
the seven years of famine that will come upon Egypt, so that
the country may not be ruined by the famine.‖

Is it not how a whole nation is saved by a dream

and an interpreter? Not only that, but other
nations came to benefit from the storage of Egypt.
Could it be possible that nations, businesses, and
families have lost blessings and some are even
destroyed because of a lack of dreams and
revelations? You decide for yourself.
It is advised not to overstretch dreams as others
have done and are still doing, remember not to
overstretch dream interpretation. Just trust the
Lord and allow the Holy Spirit t lead you to

38
Why Dream?

understand and act accordingly. Some have

overstretched dreams carnally, and this is
WRONG. When you over-stretch dreams carnally,
you are likely to get into trouble. You will either
do what God hasn‘t asked you to do or lead
people to do what God hasn‘t asked them to do.
Joseph‘s wisdom earns him the second-highest
position in the kingdom, which allows him to
accommodate his father and brothers when they
seek refuge from famine. This is the biblical story
of how Israel‘s ancestors came to Egypt, where
their descendants were eventually enslaved.

39
CHAPTER FOUR

Diving deeper!

Fast-forward to the book of Judges: Jacob‘s

and Joseph‘s descendants have followed
Moses and Joshua back to Canaan and settled
in the land. But they still have conflict with
the surrounding nations, including the
Midianites. After Midian oppresses Israel for
seven years, God raises a leader named
Gideon to overthrow them.

Judges 7:13–14
13 Gideon arrived just as a man was telling a friend
his dream. ―I had a dream,‖ he was saying. ―A round
loaf of barley bread came tumbling into the Midianite
camp. It struck the tent with such force that the tent
overturned and collapsed.‖ 14 His friend responded,
―This can be nothing other than the sword of Gideon
son of Joash, the Israelite. God has given the
Midianites and the whole camp into his hands.‖

The night before Gideon storms the Midianite

camp, Gideon overhears two Midianites
discussing a dream one of them had. A loaf of
barley rolls into camp and overturns a tent.
Somehow, the other guy can tell what the

40
Why Dream?

dream means: ―This can be nothing other

than the sword of Gideon son of Joash, the
Israelite. God has given the Midianites and
the whole camp into his hands.‖ This is not
even a covenant child of God, for some critics
to say dreaming is only for Christians. This
Midianite understood the communication of
the dream he had.
This guy could simply connect the dots, well
done sir!
Gideon didn‘t even know he was going to win
the battle and would have definitely enquired
of the Lord for the outcome of the battle. He
chances on these Mediante guys. Just the
interpretation of the dream he heard, gave
him the confidence most likely he is expected
to have and immediately he bowed down and
began to worship God. This point here is not
asking you to go looking out for people‘s
dreams, so don‘t go looking for people's
dreams to listen to, if it is in God‘s plan then
it will happen. God will give you yours. Can I
hear an amen?

Solomon’s blank check

Suppose the Creator of the universe came to
you in a dream one night and said, ―You
know what? Ask me for anything, anything
you want. I‘ll give it to you.‖ What would you

41
Why Dream?

ask for?

1 Kings 3:4–15
4 The king went to Gibeon to offer sacrifices, for that
was the most important high place, and Solomon
offered a thousand burnt offerings on that altar. 5 At
Gibeon the Lord appeared to Solomon during the
night in a dream, and God said, ―Ask for whatever
you want me to give you.‖ 6 Solomon answered, ―You
have shown great kindness to your servant, my father
David, because he was faithful to you and righteous
and upright in heart. You have continued this great
kindness to him and have given him a son to sit on his
throne this very day. 7 ―Now, Lord my God, you
have made your servant king in place of my father
David. But I am only a little child and do not know
how to carry out my duties. 8 Your servant is here
among the people you have chosen, a great people, too
numerous to count or number. 9 So give your servant a
discerning heart to govern your people and to
distinguish between right and wrong. For who is able
to govern this great people of yours?‖ 10 The Lord
was pleased that Solomon had asked for this. 11 So
God said to him, ―Since you have asked for this and
not for long life or wealth for yourself, nor have asked
for the death of your enemies but for discernment in
administering justice, 12 I will do what you have
asked. I will give you a wise and discerning heart, so
that there will never have been anyone like you, nor

42
Why Dream?

will there ever be. 13 Moreover, I will give you what

you have not asked for—both wealth and honor—so
that in your lifetime you will have no equal among
kings. 14 And if you walk in obedience to me and
keep my decrees and commands as David your father
did, I will give you a long life.‖ 15 Then Solomon
awoke—and he realized it had been a dream.

I know some of you already know the

scripture and are likely to be tempted to ask
for the same thing King Solomon asked for.
Wait a moment, hold on! You are not King
Solo. You are different and your assignment is
different so you might need the same thing
and even more, you might even need
something different from what he asked for. I
believe the Holy Spirit can aid you answer this
question genuinely.

A lot of times we want the Lord to confirm

things to us through a man of God, the
scriptures, or some other event as good as it is
you must be flexible to the flow of the Holy
Spirit. Don‘t limit Him.
now we know that God confirms receipt of
Solomon‘s offering in a dream, also this is one
of the eventful ways in which King Solomon
encounters God.

43
Why Dream?

There are various ways by which people have

encountered God. In a vision, scriptures, and
physical appearances, you can now add
dreams to that list. I recollect now that while I
was growing in the Lord, I had a very vivid
dream of God appearing to me as a mighty
warrior. In this dream He suspended in what I
will call the atmospheric heavens, looking very
beautiful to look upon, muscular and full of
power. It appeared as though He could just
crush the whole earth at a command or His
will, in his hands was a sword that can‘t be
explained with my few words. He said nothing
in this encounter, after this encounter, I just
knew within myself that indeed He is the
mighty warrior that no one could fight against
or win any battle against, it would just be
impossible. He looked like all powers
personified. I could just understand what real
power was.
I believe with all my heart that this is what
Joshua encountered in the book of Joshua
5:13-15

13 Now when Joshua was near Jericho, he looked up

and saw a man standing in front of him with a drawn
sword in his hand. Joshua went up to him and asked,
―Are you for us or for our enemies?‖ 14 ―Neither,‖
he replied, ―but as commander of the army of the Lord

44
Why Dream?

I have now come.‖ Then Joshua fell facedown to the

ground in reverence, and asked him, ―What message
does my Lord[e] have for his servant?‖ 15 The
commander of the Lord‘s army replied, ―Take off your
sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy.‖
And Joshua did so.

In theology this is referred to as theophany,

basically, this was not just an ordinary angel
but God himself. He accepted worship, and
this does not happen with angels. Only God
accepts and is worthy of our worship.
So that‘s what happens to King Solomon, son
of the giant slayer David. God comes to him
in a dream offering him a divine blank check.
Solomon plays it smart and asks for wisdom
(not wealth: possibly because he had it
already), power, or long life. So, God grants
him all of the above. I pray and declare that
this also be your time for encounter, what has
happened to someone can also happen to you!

Nebuchadnezzar’s statue
Daniel 2
In the second year of his reign, Nebuchadnezzar had
dreams; his mind was troubled and he could not sleep.
2 So the king summoned the magicians, enchanters,
sorcerers and astrologers[a] to tell him what he had
dreamed. When they came in and stood before the

45
Why Dream?

king, 3 he said to them, ―I have had a dream that

troubles me and I want to know what it means.‖
4 Then the astrologers answered the king, ―May the
king live forever! Tell your servants the dream, and we
will interpret it.‖

5 The king replied to the astrologers, ―This is what I

have firmly decided: If you do not tell me what my
dream was and interpret it, I will have you cut into
pieces and your houses turned into piles of rubble. 6
But if you tell me the dream and explain it, you will
receive from me gifts and rewards and great honor. So,
tell me the dream and interpret it for me.‖

10 The astrologers answered the king, ―There is no

one on earth who can do what the king asks! No
king, however great and mighty, has ever asked such a
thing of any magician or enchanter or astrologer. 12
This made the king so angry and furious that he
ordered the execution of all the wise men of Babylon.

14 When Arioch, the commander of the king‘s guard,

had gone out to put to death the wise men of Babylon,
Daniel spoke to him with wisdom and tact. 15 He
asked the king‘s officer, ―Why did the king issue such
a harsh decree?‖ Arioch then explained the matter to
Daniel. 16 At this, Daniel went in to the king and
asked for time, so that he might interpret the dream
for him.

46
Why Dream?

17 Then Daniel returned to his house and explained

the matter to his friends Hananiah, Mishael and
Azariah.

19 During the night the mystery was revealed to

Daniel in a vision.

24 Then Daniel went to Arioch, whom the king had

appointed to execute the wise men of Babylon, and
said to him, ―Do not execute the wise men of Babylon.
Take me to the king, and I will interpret his dream
for him.‖
27 Daniel replied, ―No wise man, enchanter,
magician or diviner can explain to the king the
mystery he has asked about, 28 but there is a God in
heaven who reveals mysteries. He has shown King
Nebuchadnezzar what will happen in days to come.
Your dream and the visions that passed through your
mind as you were lying in bed are these:
29 ―As Your Majesty was lying there, your mind
turned to things to come, and the revealer of mysteries
showed you what is going to happen. 30 As for me,
this mystery has been revealed to me, not because I
have greater wisdom than anyone else alive, but so that
Your Majesty may know the interpretation and that
you may understand what went through your mind. 31
―Your Majesty looked, and there before you stood a
large statue—an enormous, dazzling statue, awesome
in appearance. 32 The head of the statue was made of

47
Why Dream?

pure gold, its chest and arms of silver, its belly and
thighs of bronze, 33 its legs of iron, its feet partly of
iron and partly of baked clay. 34 While you were
watching, a rock was cut out, but not by human
hands. It struck the statue on its feet of iron and clay
and smashed them. 35 Then the iron, the clay, the
bronze, the silver and the gold were all broken to pieces
and became like chaff on a threshing floor in the
summer. The wind swept them away without leaving a
trace. But the rock that struck the statue became a
huge mountain and filled the whole earth.

36 ―This was the dream, and now we will interpret it

to the king. 37 Your Majesty, you are the king of
kings. The God of heaven has given you dominion and
power and might and glory; 38 in your hands he has
placed all mankind and the beasts of the field and the
birds in the sky. Wherever they live, he has made you
ruler over them all. You are that head of gold.

39 ―After you, another kingdom will arise, inferior to

yours. Next, a third kingdom, one of bronze, will rule
over the whole earth. 40 Finally, there will be a fourth
kingdom, strong as iron—for iron breaks and
smashes everything—and as iron breaks things to
pieces, so it will crush and break all the others. 41
Just as you saw that the feet and toes were partly of
baked clay and partly of iron, so this will be a divided
kingdom; yet it will have some of the strength of iron

48
Why Dream?

in it, even as you saw iron mixed with clay. 42 As the

toes were partly iron and partly clay, so this kingdom
will be partly strong and partly brittle. 43 And just as
you saw the iron mixed with baked clay, so the people
will be a mixture and will not remain united, any
more than iron mixes with clay.

44 ―In the time of those kings, the God of heaven will

set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed, nor will
it be left to another people. It will crush all those
kingdoms and bring them to an end, but it will itself
endure forever. 45 This is the meaning of the vision of
the rock cut out of a mountain, but not by human
hands—a rock that broke the iron, the bronze, the
clay, the silver and the gold to pieces. ―The great God
has shown the king what will take place in the future.
The dream is true and its interpretation is
trustworthy.‖ 46 Then King Nebuchadnezzar fell
prostrate before Daniel and paid him honor and
ordered that an offering and incense be presented to
him.

There are different levels of dreamers and

interpreters, beloved, even though God leads
and directs all of them, we are not the same
when it comes to our operation, we operate at
different levels. How did he even know the
dream without anyone telling him? Indeed,
God is all-knowing. Daniel was a different

49
Why Dream?

person who operated at a different level. What

a man!
Brethren, this should motivate us to avail
ourselves and pay the price to be used by
God. There are such vessels that can decode
the mysteries of God. They can even know
the dreams you had without anyone telling
them. I have seen this countless times.
The king of Babylon has a terrifying dream,
and nobody can interpret it but the Hebrew
wise man, Daniel. This dream involves an
enormous statue made of various materials,
which represent different world kingdoms.
The statue is smashed by a stone which
becomes a mountain, representing the coming
kingdom of God. God is still in the business
of revealing future events. Don‘t be caught by
surprise, God wants you to know the future
even before it happens. Jehovah God reveals
his punishment for a king through a dream,
you are no different. Most of the things the
holy spirit isn‘t happy about are likely to be
revealed to you even through dreams, not
only yours but others. This is to make the
body of Christ and the believer correct his
ways if possible and adjust to the way of the
Lord and prepare well.
From Pharaoh to King Nebuchadnezzar we
see the same trend. Glory be to God.

50
Why Dream?

Prophet Daniel Again…

The king has another dream! Same king, same
problem: a troubling dream that only Daniel
can interpret. This time a huge, magnificent
tree is cut down to earth, and the stump and
roots are left to go mad.

(Daniel 4)
9 I said, ―Belteshazzar, chief of the magicians, I
know that the spirit of the holy gods is in you, and no
mystery is too difficult for you. Here is my dream;
interpret it for me. 10 These are the visions I saw
while lying in bed: I looked, and there before me stood
a tree in the middle of the land. Its height was
enormous. 11 The tree grew large and strong and its
top touched the sky; it was visible to the ends of the
earth. 12 Its leaves were beautiful, its fruit abundant,
and on it was food for all. Under it the wild animals
found shelter, and the birds lived in its branches; from
it every creature was fed.

13 ―In the visions I saw while lying in bed, I looked,

and there before me was a holy one, a messenger,[c]
coming down from heaven. 14 He called in a loud
voice: ‗Cut down the tree and trim off its branches;
strip off its leaves and scatter its fruit. Let the animals
flee from under it and the birds from its branches. 15
But let the stump and its roots, bound with iron and

51
Why Dream?

bronze, remain in the ground, in the grass of the field.

―‗Let him be drenched with the dew of heaven, and let
him live with the animals among the plants of the
earth. 16 Let his mind be changed from that of a man
and let him be given the mind of an animal, till seven
times[d] pass by for him. 17 ―‗The decision is
announced by messengers, the holy ones declare the
verdict, so that the living may know that the Most
High is sovereign over all kingdoms on earth and gives
them to anyone he wishes and sets over them the
lowliest of people.‘
18 ―This is the dream that I, King Nebuchadnezzar,
had. Now, Belteshazzar, tell me what it means, for
none of the wise men in my kingdom can interpret it
for me. But you can, because the spirit of the holy gods
is in you.‖ 19 Then Daniel (also called Belteshazzar)
was greatly perplexed for a time, and his thoughts
terrified him. So the king said, ―Belteshazzar, do not
let the dream or its meaning alarm you.‖

Belteshazzar answered, ―My lord, if only the dream

applied to your enemies and its meaning to your
adversaries! 20 The tree you saw, which grew large
and strong, with its top touching the sky, visible to the
whole earth, 21 with beautiful leaves and abundant
fruit, providing food for all, giving shelter to the wild
animals, and having nesting places in its branches for
the birds— 22 Your Majesty, you are that tree! You
have become great and strong; your greatness has

52
Why Dream?

grown until it reaches the sky, and your dominion

extends to distant parts of the earth.

23 ―Your Majesty saw a holy one, a messenger,

coming down from heaven and saying, ‗Cut down the
tree and destroy it, but leave the stump, bound with
iron and bronze, in the grass of the field, while its
roots remain in the ground. Let him be drenched with
the dew of heaven; let him live with the wild animals,
until seven times pass by for him.‘

24 ―This is the interpretation, Your Majesty, and this

is the decree the Most High has issued against my lord
the king: 25 You will be driven away from people and
will live with the wild animals; you will eat grass like
the ox and be drenched with the dew of heaven. Seven
times will pass by for you until you acknowledge that
the Most High is sovereign over all kingdoms on earth
and gives them to anyone he wishes. 26 The command
to leave the stump of the tree with its roots means that
your kingdom will be restored to you when you
acknowledge that Heaven rules. 27 Therefore, Your
Majesty, be pleased to accept my advice: Renounce your
sins by doing what is right, and your wickedness by
being kind to the oppressed. It may be that then your
prosperity will continue.‖

The dream represents Nebuchadnezzar‘s

coming downfall: God‘s judgment on him for

53
Why Dream?

his arrogance. So again, most of the things the

holy spirit isn‘t happy about are likely to be
revealed to you even through dreams, not
only yours but others. This is to make the
body of Christ and the believer correct his
ways if possible and adjust to the way of the
Lord and prepare well.
So, dreams come to also reveal things about
ourselves and advise us. Personal conviction
and prophesy! It‘s not always that dreams will
be for other people, families, businesses,
nations, and continents. It‘s for You! Be
discerning enough.

54
CHAPTER FIVE

A taste of the same pill.

Now it‘s Daniel‘s turn to have dreams.

Daniel 7:1-26
In the first year of Belshazzar king of Babylon,
Daniel had a dream, and visions passed through his
mind as he was lying in bed. He wrote down the
substance of his dream. 2 Daniel said: ―In my vision
at night I looked, and there before me were the four
winds of heaven churning up the great sea. 3 Four
great beasts, each different from the others, came up
out of the sea. 4 ―The first was like a lion, and it had
the wings of an eagle. I watched until its wings were
torn off and it was lifted from the ground so that it
stood on two feet like a human being, and the mind of
a human was given to it. 5 ―And there before me was
a second beast, which looked like a bear. It was raised
up on one of its sides, and it had three ribs in its
mouth between its teeth. It was told, ‗Get up and eat
your fill of flesh!‘ 6 ―After that, I looked, and there
before me was another beast, one that looked like a
leopard. And on its back it had four wings like those
of a bird. This beast had four heads, and it was given
authority to rule. 7 ―After that, in my vision at night
I looked, and there before me was a fourth beast—
terrifying and frightening and very powerful. It had
large iron teeth; it crushed and devoured its victims

55
Why Dream?

and trampled underfoot whatever was left. It was

different from all the former beasts, and it had ten
horns. 8 ―While I was thinking about the horns, there
before me was another horn, a little one, which came
up among them; and three of the first horns were
uprooted before it. This horn had eyes like the eyes of a
human being and a mouth that spoke boastfully. 9
―As I looked,

―thrones were set in place,

and the Ancient of Days took his seat.
His clothing was as white as snow;
the hair of his head was white like wool.
His throne was flaming with fire,
and its wheels were all ablaze.
10 A river of fire was flowing,
coming out from before him.
Thousands upon thousands attended him;
ten thousand times ten thousand stood before
him.
The court was seated,
and the books were opened.

11 ―Then I continued to watch because of the

boastful words the horn was speaking. I kept looking
until the beast was slain and its body destroyed and
thrown into the blazing fire. 12 (The other beasts had
been stripped of their authority, but were allowed to
live for a period of time.)

56
Why Dream?

13 ―In my vision at night I looked, and there

before me was one like a son of man,[a] coming with
the clouds of heaven. He approached the Ancient of
Days and was led into his presence. 14 He was given
authority, glory and sovereign power; all nations and
peoples of every language worshiped him. His
dominion is an everlasting dominion that will not pass
away, and his kingdom is one that will never be
destroyed.

Beloved let‘s pick a few points from this

text of scripture, be encourage you to write
down your dreams no matter how small or
little you can remember! Just as Daniel did.
1. It makes you conscious of who you are
and the plans God has for you. Your mind is
one of the most powerful tools the world can
celebrate, and to have it at your disposal is
such a blessing you must make full use of.
What you can continuously think of and
meditate on is closer to happening than not. It
is this system that will catapult you to that
dream you have. The Bible is clear about this.
2. It helps you remember the promises of
God,
3. It helps you work towards these dreams
and messages from God.
4. It helps you build a prayer list which can

57
Why Dream?

help build your prayer life as well.

Proverbs 23:7
For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he:
Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not
with thee.
As someone who is prophetic, I can
confirm what Daniel did in verse 11, it says
that he ―continued to look‖.
This is accurate when it comes to all kinds
of revelations, the more you look and focus
on what the Holy Spirit is showing you, the
more you see other things which you wouldn‘t
have noticed if you approached the dream,
trance, or vision casually. Start paying more
attention to the revelations you have, keep
looking and meditating and soon it will be
clearer than before. It might however not
work at your first shot, but the more you
practice the better you get at it. Imagine you
meet someone for the first time for just a few
minutes, what you will recollect about the
person, physical appearance, clothes, accent,
likes and others will be smaller than if you
spend the whole day or weeks with this same
individual.
In this dream from the text, Daniel sees a
lion, a bear, a leopard, and another strange,
ten-horned beast come out of the sea. The

58
Why Dream?

Ancient of Days judges the beasts, and the

Son of Man is given dominion over all the
earth. The four beasts represent human
empires.

Let‘s go on to see the interpretation…

15 ―I, Daniel, was troubled in spirit, and the

visions that passed through my mind disturbed me. 16
I approached one of those standing there and asked
him the meaning of all this. ―So he told me and gave
me the interpretation of these things: 17 ‗The four
great beasts are four kings that will rise from the
earth. 18 But the holy people of the Most High will
receive the kingdom and will possess it forever—yes,
for ever and ever.‘

19 ―Then I wanted to know the meaning of the

fourth beast, which was different from all the others
and most terrifying, with its iron teeth and bronze
claws—the beast that crushed and devoured its victims
and trampled underfoot whatever was left. 20 I also
wanted to know about the ten horns on its head and
about the other horn that came up, before which three
of them fell—the horn that looked more imposing than
the others and that had eyes and a mouth that spoke
boastfully. 21 As I watched, this horn was waging
war against the holy people and defeating them, 22
until the Ancient of Days came and pronounced

59
Why Dream?

judgment in favor of the holy people of the Most High,

and the time came when they possessed the kingdom.

23 ―He gave me this explanation: ‗The fourth

beast is a fourth kingdom that will appear on earth. It
will be different from all the other kingdoms and will
devour the whole earth, trampling it down and
crushing it. 24 The ten horns are ten kings who will
come from this kingdom. After them another king will
arise, different from the earlier ones; he will subdue
three kings. 25 He will speak against the Most High
and oppress his holy people and try to change the set
times and the laws. The holy people will be delivered
into his hands for a time, times and half a time.[b]

26 ―‗But the court will sit, and his power will be

taken away and completely destroyed forever. 27 Then
the sovereignty, power and greatness of all the
kingdoms under heaven will be handed over to the holy
people of the Most High. His kingdom will be an
everlasting kingdom, and all rulers will worship and
obey him.‘ 28 ―This is the end of the matter. I,
Daniel, was deeply troubled by my thoughts, and my
face turned pale, but I kept the matter to myself.‖

Did you pay attention to the last statement?

This is the supernatural imposing itself and
influencing the natural. Life is indeed spiritual!
So, having a dream and waking up shaking,

60
Why Dream?

trembling feeling worried, or other emotional

signs are normal. It doesn‘t have to mean it's
demonic.
When the realm of this spirit
communicates to the realm of the flesh our
emotions are affected, facial expressions are
altered and sometimes even pain, laughter,
excitement, and joy can all be experienced.
This is not to scare anyone, but I have seen
people have dreams and have been beaten or
hit in the dream and they wake up with pains
and even marks in the same area they were
hit. Some have experienced animal attacks and
snake bites which manifest physically. Others
have dreams and wake up laughing, excited,
and joyful.
With these kinds of events mentioned in
the former, you don‘t need to be advised to
pray and fast. Like I said earlier, if you have
spiritual people or leaders you can trust, I will
urge you to always inform them so they can
stand with you in prayer.

Daniel‘s dream was a very prophetic one, it

revealed events that are yet to happen, I
remember very vividly a dream I had at a very
young age. Long before I even started reading
my bible or getting serious with church
activities. I was just a young boy who didn‘t

61
Why Dream?

even understand church or what it was about,

I was as ignorant as many young ones when it
comes to the proper understanding of the end
times. In a dream, I saw what many refer to as
the judgment day play before my eyes. It was
scary to say the least, that I don‘t think my
explanation will be able to tell you how
frightening it was. In this dream there was
chaos in the whole world and especially the
neighborhood where I was schooling, this was
different from where I lived. And people were
running for their lives in fear and wailing
without any proper direction or place they
were running to. I tried to run also but there
was nowhere to run. We were running to a
safe place that didn‘t exist.
I recollect clearly that I was trying to look
for certain people who I thought were strong
Christians but I couldn‘t find them. Fear
gripped me like I had not experienced before,
because I just knew this is what a lot of
believers were always talking about. The day
of the last trumpet. Then in this same dream,
a man who I believe was Jesus appeared on
earth with rewards in the form of parcels, I
was the only one who could see him to my
surprise. he began to share it with people
whom he was pleased with. That‘s how it
looked but I was ignorant about a lot of

62
Why Dream?

things so I couldn‘t be too confident about

His action. I didn‘t get any of the parcels even
though I could see them. I got frightened
even more, then I woke up from this dream.
If there is a day I still remember waking up
scared to the core, then this is it. After
explaining my dream to my mum, she
immediately said I had to tell our senior
pastor what I had experienced. He explained
what it meant and as I grew up in the Lord
and studied the scriptures, I understood
properly what I saw.

Beloved heaven is real, and so is hell! A lot

of times I have people asking me why I
believe what I believe and why I serve God?
This is it. It has been the foundation for a lot
of things. Before learning about the rapture
and the judgement day I had seen it in my
dream. Nothing can change my mind. It‘s too
late. There is nothing that can‘t be revealed to
you in a dream. I‘m trusting God for us, that
we the body of Christ will have prophetic
dreams like never before.

CHAPTER SIX

The new testament lenses

Dreams surrounding Jesus‘ birth

Matthew 1:18–2:23
18 This is how the birth of Jesus the Messiah came
about[d]: His mother Mary was pledged to be married
to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found
to be pregnant through the Holy Spirit. 19 Because
Joseph her husband was faithful to the law, and yet[e]
did not want to expose her to public disgrace, he had
in mind to divorce her quietly.
20 But after he had considered this, an angel of the
Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, ―Joseph
son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as
your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the
Holy Spirit. 21 She will give birth to a son, and you
are to give him the name Jesus,[f] because he will save
his people from their sins.‖

A cluster of five dreams surrounds the birth

of Christ in the first two chapters of the
gospel of Matthew.
Joseph‘s intention concerning his decision to
divorce Mary is clear. An angel tells Mary‘s

65
Why Dream?

betrothed that there is no need to divorce her.

The child she is expecting is the savior. Mary‘s
embarrassing situation is saved by a dream,
just like in the case of Abraham and
Abimelech.
So basically, Joseph‘s dream is to prevent him
from acting contrary to the will of God. If
you are already thinking of dreams that helped
you stop an ungodly action or decision you
were about to make then you will indeed
know what Joseph experienced.

Magi‘s warning.
The wise men visit the young Jesus. God tells
them in a dream to avoid King Herod as they
return home, the jealous king wants to kill the
boy. In our dreams God corrects us, he orders
our steps and guides our paths. This will be
very effective if you believe and are convicted
that your dream was from God, and not your
flesh or the devil.

Joseph dreams again

Matthew 2:13
13 When they had gone, an angel of the Lord
appeared to Joseph in a dream. ―Get up,‖ he said,
―take the child and his mother and escape to Egypt.
Stay there until I tell you, for Herod is going to search

66
Why Dream?

for the child to kill him.‖

Joseph‘s warning comes just in time through a

dream, to save the savior of the world from
the wrath of the King. How ironic.
One might say. So, we have seen that God
warns Joseph in a dream to take Mary and
Jesus to Egypt before Herod hunts down the
children of Bethlehem. Therefore, God will
tell you what you must do, but not all
directions will involve prayer. But in every
direction, you receive from the Lord, do say a
prayer.

The angel appears in his dream one more

time.
19 After Herod died, an angel of the Lord appeared
in a dream to Joseph in Egypt 20 and said, ―Get up,
take the child and his mother and go to the land of
Israel, for those who were trying to take the child‘s life
are dead.‖
21 So he got up, took the child and his mother and
went to the land of Israel.

Return to Nazareth!
After Herod dies, an angel tells Joseph in a
dream he can come back home from Egypt.
But Brother Joe is still afraid because of the
earlier warning and fear for his family‘s safety.

67
Why Dream?

He decides to go via the district of Galilee

because Herod‘s son is in power, and Joseph
stays clear of his territory. To fulfill that which
was said through the prophets. ―That he
would be called a Nazarene.‖

So, we see how dreams have been pivotal and

used powerfully by God. I can‘t say it enough
than God has shown. Don‘t miss yours.
Joseph's dream gives him an almost step to
step guide on the safety of the unborn Jesus.
Dreams are essential to our life.

Pilate’s Wife’s Nightmare

Matthew 27:19
19 While Pilate was sitting on the judge‘s seat, his
wife sent him this message: ―Don‘t have anything to
do with that innocent man, for I have suffered a great
deal today in a dream because of him.‖

Our Lord and Savior Jesus is on trial, right

before he‘s crucified. Pontius Pilate‘s wife has
a nightmare about the trial her husband is
presiding over because she knows that Jesus is
innocent. As she suffered in her dream, may
your enemies also suffer in their dreams so
they can stop harassing you! May God visit
them in their dream. Some people won‘t leave
you alone until they encounter such things.

68
Why Dream?

Have the confidence that the God of the

heavens and the earth is on our case, and He
cares about us. He rules in the affairs of men,
and He is more than ready to brush away
people or events that threaten the will of God
for us.

69
CHAPTER SEVEN

Day Dreaming

He was probably called a daydreamer! That

guy who will always zone out of a
conversation, meeting, or group discussion.
More often than not people experience this
sometimes-embarrassing event. People who
daydream have been the subject of mockery
and ridicule at one point or the other, these
people are sometimes taken for granted in
some cases. Have you heard someone tell
another person to ―stop daydreaming?‖ As
well-meaning as it may be, this has killed a lot
of powerful thoughts that people seem to
have, and solutions that are being brooded
upon.
Dr. Myles Munroe once explained in a church
leader‘s meeting how he became a church
leader, best author, and global icon. It wasn‘t
in a dramatic vision or eventful supernatural
encounter, He said. It wasn‘t also in a baritone
male voice speaking from the corridors of
heaven. It simply came as a thought! I told
myself I would pursue this though and do my

70
Why Dream?

very best to accomplish it, Dr Munroe said.

The rest is history, you know about him now.
If not, you could research him. He continued
to say that the ministry he had built came as a
thought, and he worked at it. I have seen a lot
of people have ideas that were either
discouraged by their insecurities or by the
people they told their dream to.
Many books have not been written, many
companies are still in the minds of people,
and ministries are still being fantasized by
people God's calling. The mind is a powerful
tool, to say the least.
Maybe you are in an environment where
people don‘t support ideas or easily kill
dreams. That is the reason why you haven‘t
done anything yet. The environment alone
fights ideas and the fear of what people will
say. It‘s time for you to do what God wants
you to do instead of not doing what He is
asking you to do. Once you can conceive it in
your mind, it‘s a sign that you should and can
start working toward it. Nothing is impossible
The mind of a person is central to the life and
destiny of a person, the mind is the center of
life. That is why when a person loses his mind
it is almost as if he has lost his life. Every
transformation is at the mercy of the renewed
mind. Romans 12:2

71
Why Dream?

2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be

transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you
will be able to test and approve what God‘s will is—
his good, pleasing and perfect will.

So, knowing all this, I can say that the mind is

the engine room of destiny, where your mind
goes the body will go! The quality of your
mind affects the quality of your destiny so
feed it.

Philippians 2:5
5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ
Jesus:

As the ideas come to mind, prayerfully

incubate them and work on them.
Unfortunately for us, the process will not be
easy just because you started a godly project.
Just keep going. It‘s worth it. I have to make
this clear to you even as you start that godly
idea you have; it would have challenges but
keep going. Jesus didn‘t have an easy
assignment even though it was His will and
desire to save mankind. Moses was to deliver
the people of Israel from bondage but he had
to work with very stiff-necked people. He
almost gave up! Abraham was promised that

72
Why Dream?

his descendants will be like the stars in the

sky, but he had challenges. He struggled to
even get a son!

As an inventor, Edison made 1000

unsuccessful attempts at inventing the light
bulb. Once a reporter asked...
"How did it feel to fail 1,000 times?" Edison
replied..."I didn't fail 1,000 times. The light
bulb was an invention with 1,000 steps."
Like Edison, often there has to be a level of
learning through failures to take the next steps
in succeeding. What would have happened if
Edison gave up after the 1st, 10th, 100th, or
999th or if he had a different mindset? Your
guess is as good as mine. Someone else would
have accomplished it. Have you seen your
idea being done somewhere else and you got
heartbroken? It's time to act. Get up! Sit up!
Start something now.

The dictionary definitions for failure include:

· Lack of success
· an unsuccessful person or thing
· the neglect or omission of expected or
required action
· the action or state of not functioning

73
Why Dream?

Yet as human beings and believers, we are not

overly equipped from a young age to accept
failure as a growth process.
Many have regretted not taking that step of
faith, and many have seen the benefit of
taking that bold step. You are just a step away
from that great dream. Take that first step and
see the salvation of the Lord.
―The journey of a thousand miles begins with
a step‖!

74
CHAPTER EIGHT

Balancing the equation.

Don‘t be caught in over spiritualizing of dreams!

Whether out of ignorance or unscriptural religious
gymnastics. Some of our dreams will be as a result
of our daily routines and happenings, depending
on what kind of person we are and what we spend
our day doing.

Ecclesiastes 5:3
3 For a dream cometh through the multitude of business;
and a fool's voice is known by multitude of words.

Ecclesiastes 5:7
7 For in the multitude of dreams and many words there
are also divers vanities: but fear thou God.

These verses seem to warn against placing too

much hope in dreams. It says in verse three that a
dream could be as a result of multiple businesses,
this could be godly or carnal. In the case of the

75
Why Dream?

latter, which you will have to confirm through

prayer and the Holy Spirit, a simple prayer should
do. If you went out eating ice cream, during your
sleep you could end up dreaming more about it. Be
wise! That could be your flesh speaking.
Now it is interesting that several who study
dreams agree that when your body slows down to
rest, your mind continues to work. The Bible says
that the multitude of businesses will cause dreams.
This could be the multitude of physical mental or
emotional business, but either way, it appears that
this is what causes some of our dreams. Though
your body settles into rest, your mind can keep
right on working.

Jeremiah 29:8
8 For thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel;
Let not your prophets and your diviners, that be in the
midst of you, deceive you, neither hearken to your dreams
which ye cause to be dreamed.

Sometimes false prophets or scrupulous persons

will speak about dreams that did not take place and
will want to sway God‘s people. Christians have to
be careful whenever anyone speaks about a dream
and should test everything said about that dream
with Scripture and the Holy Spirit. Make sure there
is a conviction or inner witness. Be careful and
operate circumspectly. Don‘t be deceived or taken

76
Why Dream?

advantage of. This book has given you the basics

of everything you need to know concerning this
issue.

As I have interpreted many dreams in the

ministry, using scriptures and the understanding of
biblical symbols and tokens, it has been more
impactful and edifying than not. The Holy Spirit is
the one who initiates every interpretation based on
the individual‘s personal life and God's agenda for
that individual. We must remember again that all
dreams, symbols, and tokens may not mean the
same for everyone even if they have the same
dream! This is why the ministry of the Holy Spirit
cannot be ignored. If not, we will fall into the trap
of religion, superstition, or mysticism. As I have
done this over the years, I have been amazed at
how the Holy Spirit has been accurate and mind-
blowing.
This has however opened a gap for certain
individuals to take advantage of others. So, make
sure you trust whoever is coming to you with a
dream, be discerning, and consult people you trust
if you feel funny or uncomfortable about the
situation. This chapter is just to put in the right
checks and balances. Always remember that
dreams can be interpreted, may the holy spirit
guide you to understand dreams! Amen!

77
Why Dream?

You can note that when dreams repeat

themselves, it is normally a sign that God is
stressing on that issue. In my experience, most of
those dreams tend to be fulfilled quickly and
without fail. ―Once has the Lord spoken, but twice
have I heard‖

Types of Dreamers.
1. Lazy dreamers
These individuals I refer to as those who
actually dream but always forget about the dream,
they end up saying they don‘t dream. Actually, they
do, because everyone dreams. Their only problem
is that they fail to recollect it. Intense prayer and
Word study can help such people recollect those
dreams.

1. Over Hyper Dreamers.

They are the extra-hyped dreamers; they go to
the insane extreme on dreams, whether that is
what God is asking them to do or not. They easily
cause panic and sometimes make people do things
that are not according to the Holy Spirit. They
normally or often make dreams look spooky. They
will go around telling everyone about their dreams
with so much enthusiasm, persuasion, and zeal. In
as much as it‘s not a bad thing, I will advise that

78
Why Dream?

they just get someone mature who can help them

with dreams and help them with how to handle
them. My advice to them is also to be sober, calm,
and relaxed. Let the Holy Spirit lead you, because
you can lead people into all sorts of unspiritual
things. Don‘t lead the Holy Spirit, let Him lead
you!

Responsible DreamersIf you have followed

keenly, I have explained thoroughly in this book
how they should and will operate. They don‘t
easily forget their dreams; they are calm, spiritual,
and mature about it. When it‘s not something they
can handle, they have spiritual people who they
can trust to share with. They will normally spend
quality hours of prayer and meditation into their
dreams and wait on the Lord for the right actions
to take. Just to mention a few.

1. Irresponsible Dreamers
The exact opposite of responsible dreamers.
If you have followed keenly, I have explained
thoroughly in this book how they shouldn‘t and
will not operate. They don‘t necessarily forget their
dreams; they are lazy when it comes to the hard
work. No or little prayer and meditation. They
easily give up on trying to get the meaning of their

79
Why Dream?

dreams and knowing what God wants them to do,

they will rather fall on other spiritually inclined
people they might know. This can have both
advantages and disadvantages.
They end up relying too much on people they
trust are spiritual enough.

80
CHAPTER NINE

Conclusion

Job 4:12-21
12 Now a thing was secretly brought to me, and mine
ear received a little thereof. 13 In thoughts from the
visions of the night, when deep sleep falleth on men, 14
Fear came upon me, and trembling, which made all
my bones to shake.
15 Then a spirit passed before my face; the hair of my
flesh stood up: 16 It stood still, but I could not discern
the form thereof: an image was before mine eyes, there
was silence, and I heard a voice, saying,

17 Shall mortal man be more just than God? shall a

man be more pure than his maker? 18 Behold, he put
no trust in his servants; and his angels he charged with
folly: 19 How much less in them that dwell in houses
of clay, whose foundation is in the dust, which are

81
Why Dream?

crushed before the moth? 20 They are destroyed from

morning to evening: they perish for ever without any
regarding it.
21 Doth not their excellency which is in them go
away? they die, even without wisdom.

Albert Barnes says amidst the tumultuous and

anxious thoughts which occur in the night.
The Hebrew word rendered thoughts, (
sa‛ıphıym), means thoughts that divide and
distract the mind.
Visions of the night(dreams) were a common
mode in which the will of God was made
known in ancient times.

When deep sleep falleth on men - The word

here rendered deep sleep, ‫ תרדמה‬tardemah,
commonly denotes a profound repose or
slumber brought upon man by divine agency.
It is the word used to describe the "deep
sleep" which God brought upon Adam when
he took from his side a rib to form Eve,
Genesis 2:21; and that, also, which came upon
Abraham, when the horror of great darkness
fell upon him; Genesis 15:12.

It means here profound repose, and the vision

which he saw was at that solemn hour when
the world is usually locked in slumber. I have

82
Why Dream?

heard of thieves and robbers who use this

hour mostly for their wicked operations
because men are deep in sleep during this
hour and are most inactive.
It is impossible to conceive anything more
sublime than this whole description. It was
midnight. There was solitude and silence all
around. At that fearful hour, this vision came,
and a sentiment was communicated to
Eliphaz of the utmost importance, and fitted
to make the deepest possible impression. The
time; the quiet; the form of the image; its
passing along, and then suddenly standing
still; the silence, and then the deep and
solemn voice - all were fitted to produce the
most profound awe. So graphic and so
powerful is this description, that it would be
impossible to read it particularly at midnight
and alone - without something of the feeling
of awe and horror which Eliphaz says it
produced in his mind. It is a description
which for power has probably never been
equaled, though an attempt to describe an
apparition from the invisible world has been
often made.

ABOUT THE BOOK

Across the corridors of wisdom and

knowledge is this strange phenomenon, an
issue that brings chaos, confusion and a state
of ignorance and imbalance if I can say is the
topic of dreams. From science to religion,
psychology to common sense and even across
occultic groups and secret societies. This is a
genuine and godly attempt to erase that
confusion to the reader and humanity at large,
and bring a sense of confidence with audacity
about the issue. It is dangerous to live on this
earth without accurate and profitable
knowledge about certain issues we face in life.
This book is a tool of knowledge and power
in the hands of the reader.
