User Guide
For Candidates
Welcome to the Prime Minister’s Youth Program (PMYP) Portal
This User Guide has been prepared to assist candidates in understanding and effectively using the
Prime Minister’s Youth Program (PMYP) online portal. It explains each feature of the system in a
clear and structured manner, ensuring that both new applicants and previously registered candidates
can easily navigate the portal.
The guide provides detailed, step-by-step instructions for account registration, login, profile
management, password recovery, scheme application submission, and application tracking. It is
designed to help candidates complete all required processes accurately and independently.
Applicants are advised to read each section carefully and follow the instructions provided.
Submitting correct and complete information will help avoid delays, errors, or disqualification and
will ensure a smooth and successful application experience.
Guide for Old / Existing Candidates
This section is for candidates who were previously registered on the Prime Minister’s Youth
Program (PMYP) and want to access the portal .
Important Notice
Old candidates do not need to sign up again. Their CNIC already exists in the system.
Step 1: Use “Forgot Password”
1. Go to the Login page of the PMYP portal.
2. Click on “Forgot Password”.
3. Enter your 13-digit CNIC (without dashes).
4. Click the Send button.
Step 2 :Code Verification on Email or phone
Select Verification Method
On the Forgot Password screen, you need to tell the system how you want to receive your
verification code.
T1.1 Select Recovery Type:
o Click the radio button next to "Phone" to receive the verification code via SMS on
your registered mobile number.
o Click the radio button next to "Email" to receive the verification code via email on
your registered email address.
1.2 Enter Required Details:
o If Phone is selected: Enter the last 3 digits of your registered mobile number in the
text input field.
o If Email is selected (if available): Enter your complete registered email address.
1.3 Initiate Send:
o Click the green "Send" button.
Step 3 :Verification Code Entry (OTP Validation)
This screen requires you to enter the One-Time Password (OTP) sent to your registered contact
method (email or phone).

Retrieve the OTP
Check your inbox: Access the registered email address or mobile phone you selected in the previous
step.
Locate the message: Find the email or SMS from the Prime Minister's Youth Programme containing
the verification code (OTP).
o Tip: If using email, check your Spam or Junk folders.
2.2 Enter and Submit the OTP
Enter the OTP: Carefully type the 6-digit OTP you received into the individual boxes under the
"Enter OTP" heading.
o (Note: The system may already have the first few digits entered, as shown in the example.)
Submit the code: Click the green "Send" button to validate the code.
2.3 Troubleshooting (If Code is Missing)
Check the countdown timer: Notice the countdown displayed (e.g., 00:50). This shows how long you
must wait before you can request a new code.
Request a new code: Once the timer reaches zero, click the green "Resend OTP" link to receive a
fresh verification code.
Step 3 :Reset Password
This screen allows you to enter and confirm your new, secure password for the Prime Minister's
Youth Program portal.
3.1 Enter Your New Password
Password Field: In the first field, labeled "Password*" (or "Enter your new password"), type
your new desired password.
Security Recommendation: To protect your account, ensure your password is strong. It
should typically include:
o A minimum of 8 characters.
o A mix of Uppercase letters (A-Z).
o Lowercase letters (a-z).
o At least one Number (0-9).
o At least one Special Character (e.g., $!@#%).
3.2 Confirm and Accept
Confirm Password Field: In the second field, labeled "Confirm your password", type the
exact same password you entered in the first field.
o Note: The system will not let you proceed if the two passwords do not match.
View Password: Click the eye icon next to the password fields to temporarily show the
characters you typed. This helps you double-check for errors.
Accept Terms: Click the checkbox next to "I agree to terms & conditions".
o You must check this box to proceed. It confirms you accept the portal's usage
policies.
3.3 Finalize the Reset
Submit: Click the green "Send" button.
4. Successful Completion
You will receive a confirmation message (e.g., "Password successfully changed!") and will be
redirected to the main login screen.
Log In: Use your User ID/CNIC and your NEW PASSWORD to access the portal.
Candidate Guide for New students
Step 1 Sign Up Process
This guide provides steps for registering a new account on the Prime Minister's Youth Program portal.
Required Information
You will need to provide the following accurate details to create your account:
Name: Enter your full, legal name exactly as it appears on your official documents.
CNIC (Computerized National Identity Card): Enter your 13-digit CNIC number without any dashes.
Email: Provide a valid and accessible email address. This will be used for all official communication, including
password resets and application updates.
Phone: Enter your active mobile phone number.
Password: Create a secure password.
o Tip: Use a combination of uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols.
Confirm Password: Re-enter the exact same password to ensure accuracy.
Security Check
"I'm not a robot" (reCAPTCHA): You must check this box to verify you are a human user.
Finalizing Registration
Sign Up Button: After filling in all fields and completing the reCAPTCHA, click the green "Sign Up" button to
submit your registration.
Success: Upon successful registration, the system will usually redirect you to a confirmation page or the main
Login screen.

This guide outlines the steps for a candidate to verify their identity using both email and mobile phone codes.
Email Verification
This step confirms you have access to your registered email address.
Email Address Display: Your registered email address (e.g., [Link]@[Link]) is displayed.
Code Input: You must check your inbox (and spam/junk folder) for an email from the PMYP/Higher Education
Commission portal containing a 6-digit email verification code.
Enter Code: Enter this 6-digit code into the designated input boxes.
Phone Verification This step confirms you have access to your registered mobile number.
Phone Number Display: Your registered phone number (e.g., 0333XXXXX69) is displayed.
Code Input: You must check your mobile phone for an SMS message containing a 6-digit phone verification
code.
Enter Code: Enter this 6-digit code into the designated input boxes.
Final Security and Submission
"I'm not a robot" (reCAPTCHA): Check this box to pass the security check.
OTP Confirmation: The text "Enter OTP code sent to your registered email address" serves as a final reminder
of where to find the codes.
Verify Button: Once both 6-digit codes and the reCAPTCHA are correctly entered, click the green "Verify" button to
complete the identity verification and proceed (e.g., to the Dashboard or to set a new password).
Sign in process

This guide outlines the steps required for candidates to sign in to their existing account.
Login Fields
To access your account, you must correctly enter your registered credentials:
CNIC: Enter your registered 13-digit Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) number. This acts as your
official username.
Password: Enter the password you created during the initial Sign Up process.
o Visibility Toggle : You can click the eye icon on the right side of the password field to temporarily
show your password and verify your entry before logging in.
Security Verification
"I'm not a robot" (reCAPTCHA): You must check this box to pass the security check. You may be prompted to
complete a small challenge (like matching images) to prove you are not an automated bot.
Accessing Your Account
Login Button: Once you have entered your CNIC, password, and completed the reCAPTCHA, click the green
"Login" button to enter the portal.
Forget Password

This guide explains how to start the process of resetting your password for the PMYP portal.
Initiating Password Recovery
The goal of this step is to securely identify your account so the system can send you a password reset link or code.
Login ID (CNIC): In the field labeled "Enter your CNIC...", you must enter your 13-digit Computerized National
Identity Card (CNIC) number. This is the unique identifier for your account.
Submitting the Request
Send Button: After accurately entering your CNIC, click the green "Send" button.
Code Verification on Email or phone
Select Verification Method
On the Forgot Password screen, you need to tell the system how you want to receive your

your new desired password.
Security Recommendation: To protect your account, ensure your password is strong. It
should typically include:

o At least one Special Character (e.g., $!@#%).
3.2 Confirm and Accept

Profile & Password Management Module
.Personal Information Section
This area shows your basic profile details:
Field Description
Profile Name Displays your registered username.
Gender Your selected gender.
CNIC Your national identity number registered in the system.
Phone Your contact number.
Email Your registered email address.
Profile Photo Section
A profile avatar box is visible on the left.
If an edit icon (✏️) appears, you can click it to update your profile photo.
Updating Profile Information
Step-by-step
1. Click the “Update” button at the top right.
2. Editable fields will open (depending on permissions).
3. Make the necessary changes.
4. Click Save or Update to apply changes.
Note: Some fields like CNIC may be locked and not editable.
Change Password Section
This section allows you to securely change your login password.
How to Change Password
1. In the “Change Password” panel, enter your Current Password.
2. Type your New Password.
3. Re-type the same password in Confirm Password.
4. Click the Set Password button on the bottom-right.
Password Requirements (if applicable)

Should include numbers or symbols
Should not match previous passwords

Show/Hide Password
Each password field has an eye icon (👁). Click it to toggle visible/hidden text.

Action: Read every field carefully. If you find any errors, you must go back to the relevant tab (Personal
Information or Academic Information) using the tabs at the top of the page to make corrections before you
submit.

The Disclaimer contains important legal declarations that you must agree to before submission. It typically covers:
1. Truthfulness: Declaring that all personal and academic information provided is true and correct.
2. Use of Assets: Declaring that you will not sell or misuse the assets provided (e.g., the laptop) for profit
generation.
3. Compliance: Agreeing to provide any required information and accepting that providing false information will
result in disqualification and potential legal action.
Final Submission
Once you are absolutely certain all information is correct and you have read and agreed to the Disclaimer:
Submit Button: Click the green "Submit" button (located at the bottom right) to finalize and send your
application to the relevant authorities for processing.
Confirmation: After clicking Submit, the system should show a confirmation message, and your status on the
Applications dashboard will change to "Applied" (as seen in your final image).
After Submission
Your application status will now be visible on your main Applications dashboard (where the status will be "Applied").
You must monitor this screen for updates on the Merit Status and Application Status.
Application Tracking Manual
Your current status is Applied. This means your application is now officially submitted and is waiting for processing and
verification by your university (NUST) and the Higher Education Commission (HEC).
Focal Person
The Focal Person is your official point of contact at your university, NUST, for this scheme.
Detail Your Data What It Means Now
Name Engr. Sabir This person is the Focal person of your application.

Post-Submission
This part gives you a quick snapshot of your application's status and provides you with the contact information you
