Class Activity (Group): Innovative Construction Materials
and Techniques
Objective:
Explore and present innovative construction materials and techniques to understand their
applications and benefits.
Instructions:
1. Form Groups:
Form a group of 3 members.
2. Research:
Conduct research on innovative construction materials and techniques. Focus on current
trends, benefits, challenges, and real-world applications.
Each member should contribute to researching different aspects to ensure a
comprehensive understanding.
3. Prepare Presentation: Collaboratively prepare a presentation that covers the
following:
Overview of the chosen materials or techniques.
Key benefits and potential drawbacks.
Examples of real-world applications or case studies.
Future trends or developments in the field.
4. Presentation Guidelines:
Your presentation should be clear, engaging, and well-organized.
Utilize visual aids such as slides, images, or videos to support your points.
Each member should participate in presenting different sections of the material.
5. Do the Presentation and Submit:
Present in class; all members must participate.
Finally, submit your presentation slides on Moodle.

“Brick by Brick, Waste Can Shape the Future of Construction”
We have 5 main points in the future of this innovative technology:
1. Advanced Recycling Technologies:
Improve technology for both obtaining recycled materials and producing Recycled
Plastic Bricks. The use of AI can be promoted as part of the process of transforming
recycled material into construction materials in a more direct way.
2. Research new material using recycled plastics:
One idea that directly contributes to the decrease in the amount of plastic produced
by humans is the use of recycled plastic as a raw material. This is because using
recycled plastic to make popular products allows for further research into how it can
be combined with other materials to create even more high-demand products.

3. Expansion and positioning in global markets:
Increased use of recycled plastic bricks worldwide in developing nations where
access to traditional building materials is limited or prohibitive. The growing
popularity of recycled plastic bricks can be attributed to the growing need for
sustainable and economical housing options in increasingly urbanizing areas.
4. Standardization and technical regulation:
To improve customer confidence, like with all conventional construction materials, it
is critical that its growing industrial use be technically more fully and simply
standardized and regularized for use across international borders.
5. Support of government laws:
- Public-Private Partnerships: Increasing cooperation to address plastic waste
issues and encourage the use of recycled plastic bricks among governments, non-
profit organizations, and private businesses.
