Physics Notes 1.

Displacement, Velocity, Uniform & Non-uniform Motion Displacement is the

shortest distance between two points. Velocity is displacement per unit time. Motion is uniform if
velocity is constant; otherwise non-uniform. 2. Acceleration, Distance–Time & Velocity–Time
Graphs Acceleration is the rate of change of velocity.

3. Equations of Motion Using graphical methods, we derive: v = u + at s = ut + 1/2 at² v² = u² + 2as 4.

Uniform Circular Motion An object moving in a circle at constant speed but changing direction
continuously. 5. Force & Motion Newton’s Laws: 1. A body remains at rest or in uniform motion unless
acted upon by a force. 2. F = ma. 3. Every action has an equal and opposite reaction. 6. Momentum &
Conservation of Momentum Momentum = mass × velocity. Total momentum of an isolated system
remains constant. Examples included: - A car accelerating from rest - A ball in circular motion -
Collision of two carts
