CONSTRUCTION TECHNIQUES 2
These yields should be taken as a theoretical guide because there are other
less direct factors that influence the functioning and productivity of the
machines. Examples of this are the weather, accessibility to the area, the ease of
service, the availability of spare parts, and very importantly the operator.
Performance of tracked tractors
Grader performance
Excavator performance
Performance of self-propelled rollers
Performance of asphalt pavers or finishers
Activity: Installation of asphalt sheet
The performance of the finishers is given based on:
R = V*F.E*e*L
Where:
V = speed in m/h
F.E = effectiveness factor to dimensionless, it is usually worked with 70%
e = thickness of the asphalt layer in meters
L = width of the machine in meters
LABOR PRODUCTIVITY
Labor consumption is usually expressed in hH / um (man-hours per
unit of measure) and corresponds to the mathematical inverse of labor productivity.
The efficiency in labor productivity can vary over a wide range that goes
from 0%, when no activity occurs, to 100% if the maximum is present
possible theoretical efficiency.
