PRESENTATION OF THE CONFIRMANDS
After the Gospel, the Bishop sits in his respective seat. Then
a presbyter or deacon, or the catechist who prepared the confirmands,
present the Bishop to those who are to be confirmed, who stand up in
his place.
The presbyter or the responsible catechist says these words:

These young women were baptized with the promise that they would be
«educados en la fe», y de que «un día recibirían por la Confirmación
the fullness of the Holy Spirit." That was the commitment of his parents and
godparents in the Baptism. As the person responsible for the catechetical action,
I have the pleasure of telling the gathered community and to his father and
pastor, our Bishop, that these young people have received catechesis
appropriate to his age.

HOMILY OR EXHORTATION
Then the Bishop gives a brief homily, explaining the readings.
proclaimed in order to prepare the confirmands, their parents and sponsors and to
the entire assembly of the faithful to a deeper understanding of the meaning of
sacrament of Confirmation.

CONCLUDING FORMULA OF THE HOMILY

The bishop always concludes the homily with these or similar words, which
they highlight the relationship between Baptism and Confirmation:

And now, before receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit, it is fitting that
renew before me, pastor of the Church, and before the faithful gathered here,
witnesses of their commitment, the faith that their parents and godparents, in union
of the entire Church, professed on the day of their baptism.

3
RENEWAL OF BAPTISMAL PROMISES
The bishop asks the confirmands, who stand up,
everyone respond at once:
Bishop:
Do you renounce Satan and all his works and seductions?
Confirmands:
Yes, I resign.
Bishop:
Do you believe in God, the Almighty Father, creator of heaven and
earth?
Confirmands:
Yes, I believe.

Bishop:
Do you believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was born
of the Virgin Mary, died, was buried, rose from the dead
the dead, and is seated at the right hand of the Father?
Confirmands:
Yes, I believe so.

Bishop:
Do you believe in the Holy Spirit, Lord and giver of life, who today
will be communicated in a unique way through the sacrament of
Confirmation, as it was given to the Apostles on the day of
Pentecost?
Confirmands:
Yes, I believe.

Bishop:
Do you believe in the holy Catholic Church, in the communion of the
Saints, in the forgiveness of sins, in the resurrection of the
meat and in eternal life?
Confirmands:
Yes, I believe.

4
The Bishop proclaims the faith of the Church to this profession:

This is our faith. This is the faith of the Church, in which we take pride.
professing in Christ Jesus, our Lord.
And the faithful, in turn, also nod saying:

Amen.

LAYING ON OF HANDS
The Bishop (having the priests beside him who along with him
they will administer the Confirmation) standing, with hands together and facing the people, says:

Let us pray, brothers, to God the Almighty Father and ask Him that
pour out the Holy Spirit upon these adopted children who have already been reborn to
eternal life in Baptism, to strengthen them with abundance of
his gifts, I consecrate them with his spiritual anointing and make them into an image
perfect of Jesus Christ.

Everyone prays silently for a few moments.

After the Bishop (and the presbyters who will administer together with him the
Confirmation) imposes hands on all those being confirmed.

Meanwhile the Bishop says:

Almighty God,
Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
that you regenerated, by water and the Holy Spirit,
to these your servants
and you delivered them from sin,
listen to our prayer and send over them
the Holy Spirit Defender;
fill them with a spirit of wisdom and understanding,
of spirit of counsel and strength,
of spirit of science and piety,
and fill them with the spirit of your holy fear.
Through Jesus Christ, our Lord.

Bishop of the confirmands.
The one who presents the confirmand places their right hand on the shoulder.
of this and tells the Bishop the name of the presented, unless he himself
confirming whoever says their own name.
The Bishop dips the thumb of his right hand in the holy Chrism and
make with him the sign of the cross on the forehead of the one being confirmed saying:

N., receive by this sign the Gift of the Holy Spirit.

And the confirmed one responds:

Amen.

The Bishop adds:

Peace be with you.

The confirmatory responds:

And with your spirit.

EUCHARISTIC LITURGY

SENTENCE ABOUT THE OFFERINGS

Receive, Lord, the offerings of these your children,

configured today more perfectly with Christ,
that with his death he earned for us the gift of the Spirit,
and grant them that participation in the Eucharist,
memorial of the Lord's Passover,
I urge you to bear witness to Jesus Christ, your Son.
Who lives and reigns forever and ever.
R. Amen.

9
PREFACE OF THE CONFIRMATION

The Lord be with you.

R.Y with your spirit.
Let us lift up our hearts.
We have it raised to the Lord.
V. We give thanks to the Lord, our God.
It is fair and necessary.
In truth, it is only right to thank you,
it is good to sing your glory,
Holy Father,
source and origin of all good.
You, in Baptism, give new life to the believers.
and you make them participants
of the paschal mystery of your Son.
You confirm them with the seal of your Spirit,
through the laying on of hands
and the royal anointing of the chrism.

Thus, renewed in the image of Christ,

the anointed one by the Holy Spirit
and sent to announce the good news of salvation,
you make your guests at the Eucharistic banquet
and witnesses of the faith
in the Church and in the world.
That's why we,
gathered in this festive assembly
to celebrate the wonders of a renewed Pentecost,
and united with the angels and the saints,
we sing the anthem of your glory.
Holy, Holy, Holy

10
You are truly holy, Lord,
source of all holiness;
that is why we ask you to sanctify these gifts
with the outpouring of your Spirit,
so that they are for us
Body and Blood
of Jesus Christ, our Lord.

Who, when he was about to be delivered to his Passion,

voluntarily accepted,
he took bread,
thanking you,
he/she broke it
and he gave it to his disciples, saying:

Take and eat all of it,

for this is my Body,
that will be delivered by you.
Similarly, after dinner,
he took the chalice,
and giving you thanks again,
he passed it to his disciples, saying:

Take and drink all of it,

for this is the cup of my Blood,
Blood of the new and eternal covenant,
that will be poured out for you
and for many
for the forgiveness of sins.
Do this in remembrance of me.
This is the Sacrament of our faith.
We announce your death,
we proclaim your resurrection,
Come Lord Jesus!

11
Thus, Father,
upon celebrating the memorial now
of the death and resurrection of your Son,
we offer you
the bread of life and the chalice of salvation,
and we give you thanks
because you make us worthy to serve you in your presence.
We humbly ask you
that the Holy Spirit gathers in unity
how many of us are participating
of the Body and Blood of Christ.
Remember, Lord,
of your Church extended throughout the earth;
and with Pope Francis,
with me, unworthy servant of yours,
and all the shepherds who take care of your people,
bring it to its perfection through charity.
Remember also your children
who, regenerated in baptism,
today you have confirmed them, marking them with the seal of the Holy Spirit;
keep in them the gift of your love.
Also remember our brothers.
who slept in hope
of the resurrection,
and of all those who have died in your mercy;
admit them to contemplate the light of your face.
Have mercy on all of us,
and thus, with Mary, the Virgin Mother of God,
Saint Joseph, her husband, the apostles
and how many lived in your friendship
throughout the times,
may we deserve it, through your Son Jesus Christ,
share eternal life
and sing your praises.

12
Through Christ, with Him and in Him,
to you, Almighty God the Father,
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
all honor and all glory
for ever and ever.
Amen.

RITE OF COMMUNION

O. Full of joy for being children of God,

let's say confidently
the prayer that Christ taught us:
Our Father
O. Deliver us from all evil, Lord,
and grant us peace in our days,
so that, aided by your mercy
let us always live free of sin
and protected from all disturbance
while we wait for the glorious coming
of our Savior Jesus Christ.
Yours is the kingdom, yours is the power and the glory, forever, Lord.
O Lord Jesus Christ, who said to your apostles:
"Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you"
do not take our sins into account
but the faith of your Church
and according to your word
grant them peace and unity
You who lives and reigns forever and ever.
TA
. men.
The peace of the Lord be always with you.
Thank you with your spirit.

I sincerely wish for peace.

13
Prayer After Communion

We ask you, Lord, to continue favoring

to these your children
to whom you have anointed with the gift of the Holy Spirit
you have fed with the sacrament of your Son;
make it so that, by overcoming the difficulties of life,
make the church rejoice with his holiness
and through his works and his love,
let them grow in the world.
Through Jesus Christ, our Lord.
R. Amen.

14
