I. INTRODUCTION

This descriptive memory refers to a building that will serve as a single-family residence, belonging to Mr.
Benivolêncio Luis Jeiane intends to implement in the municipality of the city of Matola.

II. WATER SUPPLY AND SANITATION

1. GENERAL DESCRIPTION
It is a building with two floors, in which the water circulation system is to be designed.
However, the system will understand two levels of systems, namely:
Water distribution system - includes the hot and cold water distribution network, according to the
needs;
Wastewater drainage system.

2. WATER SUPPLY NETWORK

The building must be supplied through a diversion branch of the public network that will supply the entire
compartmentalization involving the circulation of water.
All the piping for the potable water supply that is embedded will be in IPS, and for those that are
find the view in galvanized tube.
2.1. Reservoirs
The water supply through the public network is intermittent; thus, a system was designed.
Plastex reservoir, with a capacity of 1000 liters, which will be placed on the last roof slab.
This reservoir is intended to ensure pressure in the system.

The feeding of the elevated reservoir will be done through a lifting pump with a height
manometric of 30m.c.a and minimum flow of 0.101/s.
It is planned to install a pump with a hydropressor at the outlet of the elevated reservoir that will ensure
the minimum pressure, on the floors.

2.3. Cold Water Distribution Network and consumption measurement.

The distribution of cold water in IPS pipes, where part of it is embedded in walls and flooring slabs.
of the building (internal plumbing system). The layout and implementation of the distribution network were done
aiming for the optimization of economic aspects in relation to their functional performance.
In order to allow the measurement and reading of the overall consumption of the building, it will be preceded by a valve of

sectoring to allow the interruption of water supply when necessary.

2.4. Hot Water Distribution Network.

The distribution of hot water will be made from electric storage heaters that need to be installed.
only in elements where hot water is intended, such as showers, sinks, washbasins
the bathrooms. The water heaters must ensure a water temperature between 60˚ and 65˚ C.
The water piping must comply with the following regulatory provisions (art. 24 and 26 - reg. Of systems)
prediais);
To be covered by non-combustible, non-corrosive thermal insulators that are resistant to moisture;
To be installed on top of and parallel to the cold water piping;
Be spaced 5cm in relation to the hot water pipe;
The hot water piping was considered to be of the same diameter and material as the piping.
from cold water to be parallel;
3. WASTEWATER AND STORMWATER DRAINAGE SYSTEM
3.1. Wastewater drainage system

The present project is located in the outskirts of the city of Matola, and the wastewater collection system,
it will be done through a septic tank, with the liquid part collected for the drain.

Therefore, the building has two types of separate networks, depending on the quality of water they transport, that is
white waters and black waters.

The network is made up of the following main elements:

a) Individual discharge branches;

b) Collective drainage systems;

The sewage network will be equipped with a ventilation system that will consist of a simple extension of the pipe.

means of buoys or flanges.
Before starting the test, all the air contained in the pipeline must be removed.
The pressure pump will be equipped with a manometer with a capacity greater than the test pressure. Test, the

Sterilization of the drinking water system
Before any supply system is put into operation, it must be sterilized throughout its
extension. The piping should be filled with potable water added with chlorine at a concentration of 15mg
per liter of water.
This mixture should remain inside the piping for a period not less than 24 hours.
One must take care that the entire system is properly filled, so attention must be given.
the valves are closed and air in the piping.

After sterilization, the tubing should be emptied and filled with drinking water.
ERRORS AND OMISSIONS
For any errors and omissions, this project will be executed, observing the establishment of
security of installations for the use of electrical energy and also the good rules.
