1. For unity feedback system the open loop transfer function G(s)=10(s+2)/s 2(s+1).Find a) the
position ,velocity, acceleration error constants b)the steady state error when the input is
R(s) where R(s)=3/s-2/s2+1/3s3.

2. A unity feedback system has the forward transfer function G(s)=K1(2s+1)/s(5s+1)(1+s)2.


When the input r (t)=1+6t Determine the minimum value of K1 so that the steady error is
less than 0.1?

3. Obtain the response of unity feedback system whose open loop transfer function is
G(s)=4/s(s+5) and when the input is unit step .

4. [Link] open loop transfer function of a servo motor system with unity feedback is
G(s)=10/S(0.1S+1).Evaluate the static error constants of the system. Obtain the steady state
error of the system when subjected to an input given by the polynomial r(t)=a0+a1t+a2/2 t2.

the gain K so that the system will have a damping ratio of 0.5. For this value of K, deter-
mine Ts, Tp and Mp for a unit step input.
7. For a system G(s)H(s) = K/s2(s+2) (s+3), Find the value of K to limit the steady state error
to 10 when the input to the system is r(t)=1+10t+40/2 t2.
8. The overall T.F. is a unity feedback control system is given by c(s)/R(s)=10/(s2 +6s+10)
(a) Find Kp, Kv, Ka
(b) Determine the steady - state error if the input is r(t)=1 + t + t2.

left half of S-plane and an imaginary axis?

2. Determine the range of K for stability of unity feedback system whose open loop transfer
fuction is G(s)=K/S(S+1)(S+2)?

3. Sketch the root locus of the system whose open loop transfer function is G(s)=K/s(s+2)
(s+4) find the value of K that damping ratio of closed loop system is 0.5?

4. Sketch root locus of the system open loop feed back system G(s)= K/S(S2+4S+13).

5. For the function G(s)= 5(1+2s)/(1+4s)(1+0.25s) draw the bode plot.

6. Sketch bode plot for the following transfer function and determine the system gain K for the
gain cross over frequency to be 5 rad/sec G(s)= ks2/(1+0.2s)(1+0.02s).

7. A system is given by G(S)H(S) =250/((S(S+1)(S+10)) Draw Bode plots (b) Find GM & PM
(c) Hence determine the closed loop stability of the system.
8. By means of RH criterion determine the stability of the system represented by the character-

1. With the help of Nyquist plot assess the stability of a system G(s) = 3/s(s+1)(s+2) What hap-
pens to stability if the numerator of the function is changed from 3 to 30?
2. For a 2nd Order system with unity feedback G(s) = 200/S(S+8), find various frequency do-
main specification.
3. The open loop transfer function of a unity feedback system is G(s)= 1/s(1+0.5s)(1+0.1s) .
Find gain and phase margin. If a phase lag element with transfer function of(1+2s/1+5s) is
added in the forward path, find how much the gain must be changed to keep the margin
same.
4. Find the value of K and a to the following frequency domain specifications M r = 1.04, wr =
11.55 rad/sec. Assume G(s) = K/s(s+a) unity feedback system.
5. Sketch the polar plot & hence find the frequency at which the plot intersects the +ve imagi -
nary axis for the system G(s) =0.1/(s2(1+s) (1+0.5s)) Also find the corresponding magnitude.
