Always fit a new timing belt after removal
Coolant pump renewal is recommended after timing belt removal
Check the tensioner and idler pulleys; renew if necessary
Never turn the engine in the direction opposite to that of normal operation
Check the belt(s) for cracks, fraying, wear and oil contamination
Note: The engine must be cold before timing belt adjustment

Before disconnecting the battery cable, check the audio system security code

Turn the ignition off
Wait for 15 minutes
The control unit's self-learning pattern is now stored in memory
Disconnect the battery

Remove the front right wheel

Turn the tensioner pulley clockwise until the pointer is positioned as shown

Tighten the tensioner pulley mounting bolt 21 Nm


Remove the inlet camshaft locking tool 0189-A
Remove the crankshaft locking pin 0189-R
Rotate
