A: I just reading a newspaper about some studying methods, seems like online learning is becoming
popular nowadays.
B: Oh, I’m also interested in this problem! Shall we discuss about advantages and disadvantages of online
learning together?
A: Sure!
1. (B):What do you know about online learning?
A: Nowadays, online learning – also known as distance education, which allows students to take courses
without the need to be physically present on campus.
B: Right, so we can study whenever we want with a laptop, mobile phone and the internet. Online
learning is becoming a popular way for students to access education, it also offers flexibility and
convenience.
2. (A):Do you like online learning or not? (Yes/ No)
Why / why not?
=> (dislike) To be honest/ Honestly/ To be frank, from my perspective/ prom my point of view/ in my
opinion, I disapproval of/ dislike online learning. This is because it is more difficult for students to absorb
all the knowledge through a computer screen. Not only that, this study method forced students staring at
the screen all the time, which was very harmful for their eyesight.

opinion, I’m keen on/ super into online learning. This method allows us to study comfort and convenience
through the internet. By the way, I prefer to study by myself than study with someone else. It makes it

=> (ad) In fact/ It is undeniable that online learning provides many benefits for students. Firstly/ One of
the most pros of online learning is the flexibility, which allows students to arrange their own study
schedules. Secondly/ Moreover/ In addition/ Therefore, studying by themselves in their own peace place
might help them maintain the concentration.

many drawbacks/ disadvantages. Students who choose online learning may not access to resources or
school’s facilities, such as: laboratories, projectors, and so on. Another drawback of online learning is the
high-level of motivation, as there is nobody provides structure and support. This can be challenging for
students who easily lose motivation in studying.
4.(A): What are the evidence / examples of advantages / disadvantages of online learning?
=> (B): For example/ For instance/ To give an example, I would say that the most disadvantage of online
learning is that students have less chance to communicate face-to-face with friends and tutors (teachers).
It quite difficult for them to make friends and absorb lectures.
=> (A):Therefore/ Moreover/ In addition, it is very harmful for students to spend so many hours staring at
computer screen. The blue light from the screen will cause them eye diseases/ eye issues/ eye problems,
such as: myopic, cataracts, and so on.

=> I think/ I thought that the traditional learning is better than online learning. However, due to students
nowadays usually have a whale of extra-class and homeworks, sometimes we should apply online
learning in our school for supporting students to study flexible and effective.

A: I just watch a news on VTV, it talks about the environmental problems nowadays.
B: Seems interesting! Would you like to talk about environmental problems and solutions together?
A: Of course!
1. (B): What causes environmental pollution?
=> (A): Environmental pollution has existed for centuries but it became significant with the industrial
revolution nowadays. There are several culprits causes the environmental pollution, such as: pollutants
generated by humans, human’s activities including industrial processes, transportation.
=> (B): I totally agree!
2.(A): What are the problems of environmental pollution?
=> (B): The problems of environmental pollution are becoming more and more serious. Firstly/ At first/
The first one is the air pollution, which can cause respiratory problems and contributed to climate change.
Meanwhile, the burning of fossil fuels, emission from automobiles add to the greenhouse gasses in the
atmosphere has led to an increase in the earth’s temperature causing environmental changes. This is
known as global warming.
=> (A): Finally is the deforestation. The trees provide us with oxygen, several raw materials and also
maintain the temperature of the earth. Destruction of forest has led to the elimination of a large number of
plants and animals.
3. (B): What are the solutions for environmental pollution?
=> (A): From my perspective/ From my point of view/ In my opinion, there are various solutions for
environmental problems, such as: replace disposal items with reuseable items, avoid the use of paper,
conserve water and electricity, recycle waste to conserve natural resources, reforestation and non-
destruction of forest, and so on.
4. (A): What are the problems of environmental pollution in our school?
=> (B): In our school, the problems of environmental problems may include littering, improver disposal
of hazardous materials, waste of water and electricity.
=> (A): Yes, and if we want to resolve these issues, students should take part in/ join in/ participate in
recycling programs, use reusable water bottles, turn off lights and electronics when they are not in use.
5. (B): What are the problems of environmental pollution in our school?
=> (A): As a student, I think it is important to take responsibility for our actions and do our part to protect
the environment. By walking or cycling to school, using public transportation, we can reduce our carbon
footprint.
=> (B): Therefore/ Additionally/ Moreover/ In addition, we can raise awareness about the importance of
environmental conservation. By working together, we can create a healthier and more sustainable future
for ourselves and future generations.
