Now it is easier and more fun to use this reliable program. In addition, the new
realistic digital brushes will bring your images to life, with shades of watercolors, crayons and
calligraphy. A new ribbon (the band that crosses the top of the window that shows
what the program can do) shows the options displayed, instead of in menus.

And now Paint is also ready for touch technology, so if you have ateam of
touchscreen, soon you will be able to paint with the tips of your fingers on the screen. You can even
make two independent strokes with two fingers.

The new Paint features: watercolors, crayons, and finger paint.

Use of Paint

Paint is a feature of Windows 7 that can be used to create drawings in an area of

drawing on blank or existing images. Many of the tools that are used in
The paint tools are located on the ribbon, which is near the top of the Paint window.
The following illustration shows the ribbon and other parts of Paint.

The parts of Paint

To open Paint, click on the Start button, click onAll the
programs, in Accessories and then in Paint.

When you start Paint, you will see a blank window; the tools for drawing and
Paint can be found on the tape at the top of the window. In the following illustration
the different parts of the Paint window are shown:

Drawing of lines
In Paint, various tools can be used to draw. The tool I used and the options
what you select will determine the appearance of the line in the drawing. These are the tools
what can be used to draw lines in Paint.

Pencil Tool

Use the Pencil tool to draw thin lines or curves freely.

1. In the fileStart, go to the group Tools and click on the tool Pencil .

2. In the Colors group, click on Color 1, select a color, and then

drag the pointer on the image to draw.

Drawing of different shapes

You can use Paint to add different shapes to an image. The defined shapes range from

funny, like hearts, rays or legends (to name a few). If you want to create your
customized personal form, you can use the Polygon tool .

1. On the cardStart, go to the groupForm and select a predefined form.

To draw the shape, drag the pointer.

To draw a shape with equal sides, hold down the Shift key
while dragging the mouse. For example, to draw a square, click on
Rectangle and then, hold down the Shift key while
drag the mouse.

3. With the form still selected, you can perform one or more of the following actions.

Selection and editing of objects

Deletion of part of an image

Use the Eraser tool to erase areas of the image.

1. In the Home tab, in the Tools group, click on Eraser .

2. Click on Size, select an eraser size, and then drag the

Resize an image or part of it

Resize to change the size of the whole image or a part of it

Use Cut to cut a selected object and paste it elsewhere in the image. When cutting
a selected area is replaced with the background color. Therefore, if the image

Rules

Use the rules to display a horizontal rule at the top of the drawing area and

Grid

Use the Grid tool to align shapes and lines when drawing in Paint.

draw and help you align the objects.

1. To display the grid, in the tabSee, go to the group Show or hide and active

To hide the grid, uncheck the Grid box.

Full screen

Save an image for the first time
