But...
What does it mean to be a 'disciple'?

How can the discipled cell be useful to me?
Is it worth investing time, money, and effort in preparing myself?
better?
Why does God want me?
Then, you will have to make the decision to embark on what can
be the most fascinating adventure of your entire Christian life. You will be able to take the
decision to become a disciple of Christ, willing to act as a

That's right. You have been born into a new life. New is new. God does not want to "patch" the old man or woman, nor
"to reshape it". Of course not. He wants to give you a new life. So being a disciple of Christ means, first of all,

To Be a Disciple
You Have to Commit Yourself to Christ
This is the second point. Look in your Bible Luke 14:33. Now read it. Do you

Have you chosen a Bible verse to share in the cell group yet?
Which one is it?
A TRUE DISCIPLE
Neither Pharisee, Nor Activist, Nor Sentimental
Jesus was not the only one in those biblical times who had disciples. The Bible
it refers, for example, to the disciples of John the Baptist, some of the
which (Andrés and Pedro, in John 1:35-42) then decided to follow Jesus.
Here is the problem. The Pharisees KNEW a lot about the Bible, but
they practiced very little. And worse still, they left much to be desired regarding their
attitudes, because they were hypocritical.
TO KNOW what it says the
The Bible is good,

AN ACTIVIST?
On another occasion, Jesus sent his disciples to all the cities and when
they returned, they were happy about the experiences they had had.
You can read this account in Luke 10:17-20.

A sentimental one?
Read and meditate for a moment on Matthew 6:5-18. There Jesus, also as part
the Sermon on the Mount left you with some important teachings about what
to be a disciple of him.
You will probably remember the story (according to my uncle, it is true) of that believer.

man shall not live by bread alone, but by the Word of God. Thus, at the hour of

Like this person, there are many who misinterpret the Bible to satisfy their
human mysticism. They misinterpret the Bible and pretend to show through false
attitudes that are 'spiritual'. Jesus already taught that true spirituality
It does not consist in 'praying to be seen' nor in 'fasting to show oneself to men.'
That is hypocrisy.

A COMPLETE DISCIPLE
In lesson 2 you have learned one of the basic principles that underlies the
ministry of discipleship.
Analyzing the different leadership training programs, you will discover that
some emphasize only:
BIBLICAL KNOWLEDGE
The goal is that the
students learn data,
information, stories, dates,
places and doctrines of the Bible;
and a series of subjects more of
utility for the ministry.
But you have already learned that a true disciple is one who:
In the discipled cell, you will focus on developing these three areas of your life.
in a comprehensive way:
Do you now think it is necessary and essential to develop yourself in these three areas?
of growth as a disciple of Christ, simultaneously? Why?

time.
Things that are "instant" rarely achieve good results in the realm of
heavens. On the contrary, God rewards effort, dedication, perseverance, the
application, the will willing to
obey.

What is done?
Every week we learn from the three areas.
For this, you will receive each quarter a book with different types of exercises and
questions. You will do the lesson at home and come to the cell to participate in the
discussion of the topic of the day. We are looking in this way for you to come to the
cell, not just to receive, but also to contribute. In this area you will study:
Being a Disciple, a study that lays the foundation with the disciplines that prepare for
believer to be a fruitful and strong disciple for the glory of Christ. What is
presented in this study is key for a successful Christian life. This study
it lasts a trimester.
