[Link] road to the site can pass container vehicle (40feet) and large hoist (50t).
[Link] height of bridge, culvert and cable above the road are not less than 4.2m.
[Link] gate of the site can pass container vehicle and large hoist.
2.2.2 Site Requirements
1. Site area
The area can install an integrated data center (The area of one standard container is 100m2.)
without the situation of expand the data center. In addition, the spare space should enough to
support large hoist work freely.
2. Ground base
The support capability of concrete base should afford above 50t/m2. The four feet of
FusionModule 1000 are made of steel, and each size is 400mm*400mm and the weight of
cabinet is 32t.
3. Input power
The user should install a low voltage PDF (1600A) near the base. And introduce three phrases
380V AC before install the equipment; The distance between low voltage PDF and
container’s PDF is not more than 3m, and SPD level of PDF is class one.
4. Grounding
Each container has a grounding bar. The distance between ground point of cabinet and ground
bar is less than 3m, and the ground bar should not affect the installation of container. In
addition, each container should connect to ground bar from different ground point. And
ground resistance should less than 10Ω.

FusionModule1000 V200R003 Survey Guidance 3 Introduction to the Survey Process
3 Introduction to the Survey
Process
3.1 Survey Preparations
After receiving a survey notice, you should carefully read the contract, Technical Proposals,
and networking diagram, and understand the configuration of devices in all sites and their
interconnection. You should make inquiries timely if you have any questions. After obtaining
an understanding of the project, you can contact the customer, determine the survey
coordination meeting, and arrange for site survey, including the staff and time.
3.1.1 Device Configuration List and Technical
Proposals
Read the Technical Proposals and device configuration list carefully to obtain an overall
understanding of the project. Contact and discuss with the person responsible for the contract
to reach an agreement if you have any questions regarding the Technical Proposals and device
configuration, or you are unclear about the technical solutions, division of interfaces, and
construction arrangements described in the Technical Proposals. Sometimes a contract or
technical proposals may have errors or omissions. A survey and design engineer should
review technical solutions regarding their feasibility and ease of use based on the
understanding of the overall project. Any problems detected during review should be
communicated to the sales and R&D staff in time for revision of technical solutions and
configuration, to prevent the occurrence of unnecessary or insuperable obstacles during
construction.
3.1.2 Document Preparation
The following documents or information must be available:
Survey Notice and the name and contact information of the person in charge of the
project from the customer
Technical Proposals and device configuration list (quotation)
FusionModule 1000 Survey Report template
Customer Preparation Guide for FusionModule 1000 Installation
FusionModule 1000 Installation Environment Checklist

FusionModule1000 V200R003 Survey Guidance 3 Introduction to the Survey Process
3.1.3 Tools Preparation
The following tools must be available:
Drawing appliance such as rulers, triangles, mechanical pencils, rubbers, and white paper
Tape measure (5 meters or longer)
Steel tape measure (30 meters or longer)
Claw hammer
ground resistance tester
Multimeter
3.2 Preparations and Coordination on Site for
the Project
Construction of a data center is usually a large project, so it is necessary to hold a survey
coordination meeting. The purpose of this meeting is to allow our engineers to have a face-to-
face meeting with leaders from the customer to let them have a basic and overall
understanding of the project. In this way, they can understand and support our work in the
future. We can have a survey coordination meeting in different ways for different projects. For
an ordinary project or low-level customer, we can introduce the project to the leaders in a
small seminar. If it is a very important, complicated or high-level project, we need to seek
assistance from other departments and introduce the project to the leaders of the customer in a
technical conference or by other means.
After arriving on site, a design engineer first needs to explain the overall project
implementation to the customer’s staff responsible for engineering, maintenance, or network
construction and technicians, so that they can make necessary preparations in advance and
determine a project schedule.
3.3 Site Survey
Perform a site survey if the site is ready. Require the customer to provide necessary facilities
such as power supply, ground bar, air conditioning system, cable tray, or movable floor.
Confirm with the customer on device positions, cabling path, and space reserved for capacity
expansion. Perform the site survey and record data carefully according to requirements in the
contract and survey report. Guess and assumption based on subjectivity and experience is not
allowed.
3.4 Installation Environment Inspection
During the site survey, a survey engineer shall inspect the installation environment and ensure
the environment is ready for device installation. Then fill out the FusionModule 1000
Installation Environment Checklist. The Customer Preparation Guide for FusionModule 1000
Installation should be distributed to customers to assist them in preparing for installation.

3.5 Survey Report Preparation
3.5.1 Cover
Fill out the following information and ask the customer contact to sign for confirmation:
Commercial information, including the name of Party A, contract number, and quotation
number.
Project information, including the total number of sites and the number of sites covered
by this survey.
Customer information, including the customer name, contact person, telephone number
and fax number.
Surveyor information, including the office of the surveyor, office telephone number and
fax number, and name of the surveyor.
3.5.2 Survey Data Table
Site name
A site name should be identified by a clearly district address, which clearly indicates the
location of the site on the customer’s premises.
Site environment
Road Conditions
Through performance is divided into the following three kinds of cases:
Good through performance: refers to the good pavement condition, no obstacle.
Good through performance in part of the time: refers to that containers can pass the road
when it does not rain. If rains, there is dangerous through the road.
Bad through performance:refers to the poor quality of pavement, or a container cannot
through the place.
Site Conditions
The area of a site is: length * width.
Whether there is cable through the space above the site.
Ground Conditions
Whether the customer provide the concrete ground according to the requirements of the
company for the installation of containers.
Whether the location and quantity of the concrete ground had completed according to the
requirements of the drawings of the company.
The load-carrying capacity of the concrete ground, refers to the load-carrying capacity of
the concrete ground designed for containers. The concrete ground is checked with a claw
hammer by knocking on, and qualified if no dregs. (Reserve cement test block for the
test when production of the concrete ground.)
Input power
Mains supply specifications includes the number of phases, voltage and AC and DC
parameters, such as threee-phase 380V AC.
Whether the mains supply is for surge protection treatment.
