Daughter of Mr. An Bahadur Gurung and Mrs. Yam Kumari Gurung, I reside in

My family, which includes my parents & I have always been supportive to me and also
are sponsoring me to purse my higher education (annual earning AUD 24,941.50 from
salaries, business and land leases along with educational loan of NPR.6,600,000). Due to
COVID my academic session was delayed and I graduated recently. I am highly social in
my community, actively participating in cultural and religious events, fulfilling societal
responsibilities. My Master of Professional Accounting (Advanced) from University of
Newcastle Australia, will advocate for higher employability & more career growth
opportunities in Nepal. With international exposure & skills, I aim to establish myself as
finance manager in Nepal. I am also heir to parental properties worth millions in Nepal.

2. Explain why the applicant wishes to study this course in Australia with this
particular education provider including their understanding of the requirements of
the intended course and studying and living in Australia

Lack of practical exposure & outdated curriculum in Nepal made me choose Australia
which has ESOS Act and Tuition Protection Services for international student along with
scholarship, affordable cost of living (AUD 29,710/year), industry relevant course design.
Progression of my Bachelor of Business Studies degree, I applied Master of Professional
Accounting (Advanced), to align with my career goal of becoming Finance Manager. I
chose UoN, ranked top 200 university in world (2025 QS world university rankings),
discarding WSU (low ranking), Macquarie university (expensive with AUD 90,200),
UniSC (in Queensland), for its industry partnerships and hands-on learning opportunities.
I will learn from Dr. Sudipta Bose, a qualified CA and CMA with finance experience at
Telenor group and in Australia, making it a valuable and inspiring learning experience. I
plan to live in shared accommodation (AUD 150-170/week per person) around King
Street or Elizabeth Street.

My parents are getting old, and I need to care for them and hence will return back to

salary, I'll have a progressive career and financial growth in Nepal, earning back my
expenses from Australia within seven years. Lower income tax and higher bank savings
rates in Nepal ensure a better life for me here in Nepal. Engaged in various social events
