A Safety Precautions Prior to the PM Procedure : Remarks
1 Use personal protective equipment like as gloves, safety shoes etc.
2 Barricade the Activity Area.
B Performance Check List : Remarks
1 Check all busbar connection properly.
2 Check panel earth connection properly.
3 Check all measuring meters as volt meter, amp meter etc.
4 Check all indicators, selectors switch and push button.
5 Check circuit breaker input and output terminal hot spots.
6 Check circuit breaker protection settings as overload, short circuit and earth fault.
7 Check Panel doors, hinges, Locks , dust,rodent entry,moisture.
C Checklist for safety inspection on completion of PM: Remarks
1 Ensure that no tools are left within the cubic of the panel.
2 Check and record all parameters on load after completion maintenance activity.

3 Apply sign board as work in progress in restricted area.

1 Mearuring the earth resistance value through earth resistance meter.
2 Clean the earth pit electrode through emery paper.
3 Clean the rusted nut, bolt and thimble.
4 Change the damage earth wire.

Check for loose connections in the terminations and tighten wherever required

Check for any sparking spots in MCB/ELCB wherever applicable.

Check & ensure earth continuity

Ensure current in each outgoing circuit not more than 60% of MCB/ELCB rating

Ensure that the cables are not overheated.
