STUDENT REFLECTION
1) What did our team do to finish our project?
We went around our neighbourhoods taking interviews individually during and after our
summer break. After finishing all our interviews, we met online and discussed our
experiences after compiling our responses (notes) in a document. We discussed the
responses given by people and selected the unique and appropriate ones for our
compiled notes document.
2) Which part of the project did we find hard to do?
Of course, the hardest part was taking interviews with random people and a few
neighbours. There was a mental block on approaching random people in the name of a
survey. We had to convert their responses and opinions into short notes on the spot as
they mostly replied in Tamil. Afterwards, we had to compile the useful responses from
each interviewee into a separate document which took time.
3) What were our observations while working on this project as a
team?
We observed the hardships common people face in their jobs which affects their family
time. Most of the interviewees concluded that the time they spend for family is very
scarce due to toxic work life balance. It is worse for women as they have to do the
household chores too.
