How to Watch & Apply a 20-Hour Self-Improvement Video Effectively

1. Before You Start

• Set Your Goal: Know why you’re watching.

Example: “I want to become highly disciplined and focused in my work.”

• Fix a Daily Time Slot: 2 hours per day × 10 days = 20 hours.

Keep the same time daily — routine builds discipline.

• Prepare Your Journal: Create a notebook or Google Doc for notes.

• Remove Distractions: Keep your phone away, close all other apps/tabs.

2. While Watching

• Every 10–15 Minutes: Pause and write three quick things —

1. The main idea he explained.

2. One action you can do today.

3. The timestamp if it’s important.

• Keep Notes Short: Only the points you understand — not everything.

• After Each 2-Hour Session:

o Pick one action from your notes.

o Do it the same day. (No “I’ll start tomorrow.”)

• End of the Day Reflection:

o What I did well

o What I failed

o What I’ll fix tomorrow

3. After Completing the Whole Video

• Re-read all your notes carefully.

• Pick the 10 strongest lessons that truly matter.

• Write them on one page — call it “My Rules.”

Example:
o Plan tomorrow before sleep.

o No phone before 9 AM.

o Focused 3-hour work block daily.

4. Applying the Lessons

• Pick one rule from “My Rules.” Practice it for a week.

• When it becomes easy, add the next one.

• Keep doing this for 30 days — slow and steady builds real habits.

5. Weekly Review

• Every Sunday:

o Rate your week (1–10) for discipline.

o Re-read “My Rules.”

o Note what slipped and how you’ll fix it.

6. Core Idea

Don’t try to remember everything from 20 hours.

Learn → Write → Apply → Repeat.
Knowledge means nothing until it becomes your behavior.
