PROJECT CHARTER CREATION

Objective:
To prepare a detailed project charter document based on the selected project from Week 1.

Steps:
1. Understand Project Charter
- A Project Charter formally authorizes a project and outlines objectives, scope, stakeholders,
and constraints.

2. Components of Project Charter:


a) Project Title
b) Purpose and Objectives
c) Scope and Deliverables
d) Major Milestones
e) Budget Overview
f) Project Team and Stakeholders
g) Constraints and Assumptions
h) Approval Signatures

3. Activity:
- Students will create a Project Charter using MS Word template.
- Include following sections:
* Project Objectives
* Project Manager and Team Members
* High-Level Timeline (Gantt chart or simple schedule)
* Stakeholder List

4. Sample Example:
Project Title: Online Learning Management System
Objective: To develop an e-learning platform that allows instructors to upload materials and
students to track progress.
Scope: Web-based application with login, content upload, progress tracking, and grading
features.

5. Deliverable:
- Submit completed project charter (soft copy).
- Instructor reviews and provides feedback.
