Technical Service Bulletin R-23-151

Valid for
All Renault T, T High, C, K, D Wide vehicles with D11 or D13 engine and with OBDEP-B or OBDEP-C variants

Case description
Diagnostic testing leads to replacement of the Electronic Pressure Relief Valve (ePRV).

DTC P009B-13 Fuel Pressure Relief Control Circuit Open can also be present.

Reason
Internal leakage or an electrical fault makes the ePRV replacement necessary.

Action
With the following method, install the ePRV delete kit and run conversion kit.

1. Remove the valve cover, use Impact operation 23034-3 Valve, common rail, replace .
2. Loosen the cap nuts and remove and discard the pipe.

3. Disconnect the connector.

4. Clean the area around the fitting and remove the fitting and seal.

5. Install the seal and plug in the cylinder head. Use tightening torque 50 ± 8 Nm.

6. Install the tool 88800634.


7. Remove the valve.

Note: Use a spanner as a counterhold to prevent the common rail brackets and pressure pipes from being loaded
during component removal and installation.

8. Install the protecting plug P/N 7488800527.


9. Clean the threads.

Note: Leave the protecting plug in place until installing the common rail plug.

10. Remove the protecting plug.


11. Install the plug in the rail.

Note: Do not use locking fluid or thread sealant.

12. Torque tighten the plug with 125 ± 10 Nm.

Note: Cap is not required to seal the common rail where the drain pipe connected.

Note: Use a spanner as a counterhold to prevent the common rail brackets and pressure pipes from being loaded
during component removal and installation.

13. Cut the harness and remove both connector and harness.

Note: Do not tape or seal the end of the harness.

14. Inspect, which connector type the FRPS has.

old style connector new improved connector

— If the old style connector is found, replace the sensor and wiring harness by using Impact operation 23035-3
Pressure sensor, common rail, replace and 28612-3 Wiring harness, unit injectors, replace

— If the new improved connector is found, proceed to next step, no action needed.

15. Install the valve cover, use Impact operation 23034-3 Valve, common rail, replace
16. Program conversion kit 85158685 with Tech Tool operation 1700-22-03-06 Accessory kit, programming
