Operational States
Automatic operation:
• the AUTOMATIC operational mode has been selected
• the synchronization function is enabled within the parameterization mode
• there is no class 2 or 3 failure
• there is a condition set (for example, "Automatic 1" (terminal 3) or
"Automatic 2" (bearing 5) or watch, etc.)
• the bus is under voltage
• the group is active and the generator voltage and frequency are within the pre-defined limits
established.
Manual operation:
• the operational mode 'MANUAL' is selected
• the "CGR Liga" button has been activated
• the synchronization function is active within the parameterization mode
• there are no failures of class 2 or 3
• the bus is under voltage
• the group is active and the voltage and frequency of the generator are within the preset limits
established
Close the generator switch without synchronization (Starting without voltage from the CGR)
The generator key is closed without synchronization if the following conditions are met
simultaneously
Automatic operation:
• the AUTOMATIC operational mode has been selected
• there are no class 2 or 3 failures
• The release 'CGR tension-free start' is in 'ON' in parameterization mode.
• the busbar is not under tension
• the group is active and the generator's voltage and frequency are within the pre-established limits
• the signaling and confirmation 'CRD DESL' must be present (the CRD has been opened)
If other devices are connected via the CAN-Bus:
• no other CGR key can be closed
• if several devices want to put the CGR at the same time without synchronization, it will have
priority to the device with the lowest number on the CAN-Bus network.
Manual operation:
• the operational mode 'MANUAL' is selected
• the "CGR Liga" button was activated
• there is no class 2 or 3 failure
• The release 'Tension-free Start CGR' must be in the parameterization mode set to 'ON'
• the group is active and the voltage and frequency of the generator are within the established limits
• the bus is not under voltage
• the signaling and confirmation "CRD DESL" must be present (the CRD was opened)
If other devices are connected via the CAN-Bus:
• no other CGR key can be closed
• if several devices want to place the CGR at the same time without synchronization, there will be
the device with the lowest number on the CAN-Bus network.

Network key synchronization
Automatic operation:
• the AUTOMATIC operational mode is selected
• the synchronization function is on in adjustment mode
• there is no failure of class 2 or 3
• the bus is under tension
• the network voltage is present
• the group is active and the voltage and frequency at the generator bus are
within the pre-established limits
• The signaling and confirmation 'CGR DESL' cannot be present (CGR
closed)
• The entry 'CRD Release' is placed.
Manual operation:
• the MANUAL operational mode is selected
• the 'CRD LIG' key was activated
• the synchronization function is enabled in adjustment mode
• there is no failure of class 2 or 3
• the busbar is under voltage
• the power supply is present
• the group is active and the voltage and frequency of the generator bus are
within the pre-established limits
• The signaling and confirmation "CGR DESL" cannot be present (CGR
closed)
• the entry 'CRD Release' is placed
Close the network switch without synchronization (Power on without CRD voltage)
The network key is closed without synchronization, if the conditions are met
simultaneously the following conditions:
Automatic operation:
• the AUTOMATIC operational mode is selected
• the release 'Tensionless Departure CRD' is ON in parameterization mode
• the bus is not energized
• the network voltage must be present
• the signaling and confirmation 'CGR DESL' must be present (CGR is
open)
• The entry 'CRD Release' is set.
Manual operation:
• the MANUAL operational mode is selected
• the CRD LIG key has been activated
• the busbar is not under tension
• the network voltage must be present
• the signaling “CGR DESL“ must be present (CGR open)
• the entry 'CRD Release' is placed
23/04/99 12
Open generator key
The generator key is opened by the drop of the relay 'CGR ON' (if
continuous impulse selected) and through the drop of the "CGR Release" relay.
CGR is opened under the following conditions:
• in operational mode "STOP"
• in failure class 2 or 3
• in the operation of the "CGR DESL" key in manual mode
• in the operation of the 'STOP' button in manual mode
• no automatic shutdown in operational mode "AUTOMATIC"
• after transfer synchronization of the CRD
Transfer synchronization
Operation of multiple groups With transfer synchronization enabled (key logic), it is synchronized.
the CGR key with a request from the engine. The conditions of
synchronization as described above. After it is done, with the absorbed power
through the grid equal to zero, the regulation of the generator's power. If a generator does not
to reach zero absorbed power, is assisted by others later
synchronized. If zero power absorbed by the grid is reached, it is opened the
CRD key.
1st caseIf a requirement for the motor is removed only in one device, then
this generator will, after 3 seconds have passed, reduce the active power and
when reaching 2% of the nominal power, open the CGR switch.
2nd caseIf the demand on the engine is removed within 3 seconds from all
devices, so all generators are synchronized back to the
network, after reducing its active power and reaching 2% of the power
nominal, open the CGR key.

Failures
Failure classes
F0 Failure alert This failure does not lead to an interruption of operation. It generates a failure message.
F1 Failure alert This failure does not lead to the interruption of operation. It generates a failure message and
the sound alarm relay is activated.
F2 Active failures This failure leads to the shutdown of the GMG. The opening of the CGR is commanded,
followed by a cooling operation of the engine.
F3 Active failures This failure leads to the immediate opening of the CGR and the shutdown of the GMG.
